He worked tirelessly to open the eyes of those who could not see, to give hope to those who had lost hope, to change the culture of our land. He was a powerful voice, but he didn't just talk the talk. He walked the walk, and now he walks with angels. Hallelujah.

1:03Beautiful. Hallelujah. And Jess and Jackson became somebody. After graduating college, he joined the Selma Tamant Gummary Marchitz, and soon after, Dr. King was guiding his 24-year-old protege, giving him a role in the Southern Christian leadership conflict. And from there, Jackson went on to launch Operation Bread Basket, which led to job opportunities for countless African Americans. I'll turn this corner. Green. The tree. The wealth at the share. I'll turn this corner. After Dr. King's tragic assassination, Jackson began working on the poor people's crusade, creating the economic focus operation push, and the social justice center, Rainbow Coalition. For 20 years, later, we'll not have equality. We'll move in. Now, we must move up.

2:04The National Rainbow Coalition became the catalyst for the first ever major presidential campaign by a black candidate. Our flag is red, white, and blue, but our nation is rainbow. Green and yellow, brown, black and white. We're all Christians in God's sight. And laid the ground, for a moment that will live forever in the memories of those who witnessed it. Unless fake, we gather because we have true the hope, overfeat, hope and virtue. Let us pray once more of the elephant currents, and endure what strong he may come. Reverend Jackson fought for opportunity here at home and for human rights across the globe. He went to Syria and successfully negotiated the release of a U.S. Navy lieutenant. In Cuba, he obtained the release of 22 American hostages, wherever and whenever there was a need for justice or a cry for help, he was there, becoming one of the most prominent activists of our time. 3:09will resonate forever. Please welcome Samuel L. Jackson. We all know the story of Jesse Jackson born to an 18-year-old unwed mother in Greenville, South Carolina, growing up in the Jim Crow South, getting out on a path that led him to the top of the mountain. And once he arrived at his rightful place on that peak, he did not rest. He changed the world. Now, some of you may have not been around when he took up the mountain doctor came on that tragic day in Memphis, but for over half a century, which is a long damn time to be on the front lines. He advocated for the poor, the disenfranchised, for those who needed work, and he found jobs for our community in every endeavor, including entertainment.

4:15He inspired a young man who has the same last name as he is, one family little Jackson. Now, no Reverend, but after all, in a protest back in the day, a lot more house college board members up in the building for a minute. And at times, I have used words and films you don't find in the good book. But all of us, in some degree or another, have spoken out, marched, protested, raised, wholly hailed, inspired by a man who now, I'm sure, resides with the good Lord in Heaven. And even though we can no longer hear his voice, whenever we see that a wrong must be made right, all of us can ask ourselves WJD, what would Jesse do? Now, I know he inspired me and changed my life. I was lost, poor, trying to find my way, but he made me believe in myself and realize

5:23I am somebody. It doesn't matter where you live or who you are, you matter because same with me. Somebody, you can overcome any obstacle because I am somebody. And we will continue his mission and carry the torching lift and keep hope alive. And we will not be erased from this country's history. Because we are somebody. I am somebody.
