宮本 武蔵（みやもと むさし、天正12年（1584年）? – 正保2年5月19日（1645年6月13日））は、江戸時代初期の剣術家、兵法家。二刀を用いる二天一流兵法の開祖。6月13日、死去。
人間として鍛と錬を重ね、いっぱしの名刀になるには30年の月日が必要ということだ。強く柔らかい、しなやかな人物になれるのは、50才前後であると考えたい。
