大久保 利通（おおくぼ としみち、文政13年8月10日（1830年9月26日） – 明治11年（1878年）5月14日）は、日本の武士（薩摩藩士）、政治家。
機が熟さないのに立ち向かおうとすると労力もかかり、そして失敗する可能性が高くなる。そのあたりの機微を大久保は知っていた。それは日本の幸運でもあった。
