0:00It's April 24th, you're listening to NFL News today, eye-powered football coverage. I'm Cory with the story. 49ers fans might wait even longer for their team's next pick in the 2026 NFL Draft second round. They're sitting at the 33rd spot right now, but reports say the squad is very open to trading back further and stacking more selections. Earlier this week, head coach Kyle Shanahan dropped some insight after Round 1 wrapped up. He mentioned the players they eyed at pick 30 are still on the board, and they're cool sliding back from their original 27th spot too, chase value. Shanahan made it clear they're targeting a few prospects, but won't grab them all at 33. Instead of pushing up with just six picks to start, they stayed patient, washed others take shots, and bumped their spots while adding to the hall now up to 7 total. On day 2 Friday, they've got three chances lined up. 33 and 58 in the second round, plus 90 in the third. Sounds like a smart play to build depth without forcing in.

1:02Keep an eye on those moves because if they trade back again, it could reshape their whole draft board just right.
