49ers Draft & Free Agency: Reloading for 2026

That move paid off as rookies and young players filled key roles this season. Rookies like Mikel Williams, Alfred Collins, Upton Stout and CJ West saw heavy action right away. Second-year guys such as G.I.E.R. Brown and D. Winters also stepped up as starters when healthy. In the 2024 class, players like Ricky Pearceau and Ronaldo Green became everyday contributors.
