ウィリアム・アダムス（William Adams, 1564年9月24日 – 1620年5月16日（元和6年4月24日））は、江戸時代初期に徳川家康に外交顧問として仕えたイングランド人航海士・水先案内人・貿易家。三浦 按針（みうら あんじん）の日本名でも知られる。
スペインとのアルマダ海戦も経験している数奇な人生を送る按針が家康に海路を説明した時のこの言葉で、家康は世界をみる新しい目を手に入れた。
