2:09Welcome to Friday at the end of the tri-state, a little break is yesterday at the ballpark that almost didn't happen. I love the reds being so feisty, but that's a different matter. And it's going to be great whether today looks a little iffy over the weekend, but nonetheless red space ball kicks off and Minnesota tonight first pitch about 805 or coverage starts an hour ahead of time and joining unit, you and I now is Tracy Swagman. She's in charge of the security at the banks and related matters. And tonight something a little different's going to be happening and it will be implemented. And first of all, Tracy Swagman, welcome to the bill, Cunningham show and tell the American people what's happening tonight at the banks. Well, Bill, thanks for having me as always and we wanted to take the opportunity to let folks know that we are bringing back that 21 and up ID checkpoints. Down at the banks on Friday and Saturday nights going from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. that will start this evening and will the plan is to run it through the end of October. And there's also other curfews in effect in the city that you don't control.

3:12I think after nine o'clock, you can't be out. And if you are out, then oh, hell breaks loose. They don't take you to do a holding tank because you're these are kids. You can't do that. Let's say is there buy in from the business owners in relationship to what happened an opening day that you're dealing with dozens and dozens of business owners, hundreds of residents. How much of a buy in is there? You know, then what we found last year was the program was really successful. You know, it was a pilot program last year and we made some tweaks along the way and we worked with the police to make some of those tweaks. But the feedback that we got from everybody, whether it was residents, businesses, customers, the police, the city, everybody felt it was a good solid initiative and was a positive contributor to the overall sort of safety plan that they had going on in and around downtown. So, you know, the plan was to work to try and bring it back this year. It's not an inexpensive exercise. And so, you know, a couple of the key components that go into making this an issue that happened

4:15is you've got to find the money. And it's going to cost banks, businesses, and stakeholders, again, over $300,000 this year to put this program in place. That is 100% private funds that we have to come up with to fund this initiative. And then, of course, you've got to go through the permitting process with the city of Cincinnati where they, you know, they have to issue a special permit to let you do this type of thing. And that means everybody weighs in, you know, they tell you what time you're allowed to start and when you have to end and what does the operation look like and how do you interface with things like, you know, red games and all of that good stuff and exiting people out of the stadium. So, it's no small list to try and try and put it in place. But if it is, we were able to secure all those things and we're able to start it this weekend, which is pretty much the same time we started it last year. Last year, our first date was April the 25th, so we are pretty much right on target. If this had been an effect for Red's opening day, of course, you're talking about 10 PM to 2 AM. It was a 4 4 10 start. Most of the activities took place 6, 7 or 8 o'clock.

5:16When you look back on what happened Red's opening day, were mistakes made, mistakes not made, which is something you couldn't control, explaining to the American people what happened Red's opening day. Well, you know, Red's opening day, I'll tell you this. It was probably one of the best opening days that I had been a part of in 15 years. I mean, from 9 o'clock in the morning until about 5 o'clock at night, the banks with Humman and Hoppen and was terrific. And the Red's Community Fund put on a fantastic block party as they do every year. Unfortunately, the negative activity that was occurring uptown all afternoon got moved around through Washington Park and moved through Fountains Square and worked its way all the way through downtown and landed down the banks at 5.36 o'clock-ish and when you have thousands of kids that come cascading in on you, it's a tough thing. And you know, the police made a difficult call on opening day to decide to shut things down and they started doing that in about 6.30.

6:18I don't even think the game was over yet. It folks hadn't even let out. So you still have 40,000 people, you know, hadn't even exited the ballpark when the police were already saying shut it down, you know, it's overwhelming. It's too much, you know, turning music off and by 8 o'clock after the Red's game had exited, they shut everything down. That's a tough call that they made and let me tell you, they're working their back sides off. This is, that's not a wrap on the police by any stretch of the imagination. They're working their tails off and they're understaffed. And they made a tough call. At the end of the day, everybody went home safe, nobody got hurt. So, you know, that's a plus, but that was a painful, that was a painful day, for sure. That frankly was a very unfortunate, bad ending to what was otherwise a terrific day. You know, Tracy Swagman, uneasy rest ahead that wears the crown, it's your responsibility. And you caught some flak. I don't know if you saw social media. Is there anything you would have done differently? I'm thinking, well, do you shut down the banks at 5 o'clock or 4 o'clock and it's a

7:23reds game. It's a different crowd. Is there anything you would have done differently? You know, it's a hard thing to, to try and entangle, you know, opening day is basically a citywide, strong, intensive purposes, a citywide holiday. There are other permits in place where, you know, other events are happening that we don't control. You know, the earliest we would have been able to put in place any kind of barricade or what have you to do an ID checkpoint would have been 9 o'clock at night. That would have been the earliest based on the things that we are, you know, required to adhere to as it relates to that ID checkpointing. Now I don't know if, you know, the city or the police will determine that, you know, special events and permit holders have to do things differently going forward. I don't really know the answer to that. I know that they probably had, you know, quite a number of conversations about, you know, what to do next. But, you know, that's, that's a bit above my pay grade quite frankly.

8:24You know, what we try to do with this 21 and up ID checkpoint is quite frankly. We are trying to preserve and protect the business environment for those customers wanting to patronize our businesses. And that comes at an enormous expense. But the cost of not doing anything is, you know, exceptionally high as well. And it comes to overall city policy relating to special events and curfew youth curfews and, you know, gun violence and all the things. That is way above and beyond our pay grade down to banks. I mean, the best that we can try and do is, you know, preserve and protect that environment for our business customers and our residents and, you know, hotel guests and what have you. And, and hope that the city has some plans going forward for the balance of summer. Well, the, Tracy is swagging the other thing is you're responsible for security at the banks, which is a geographically small part. Cops have told me that one or 200 kids who maybe can't get into the banks goes of ID.

9:26Well, that's no big deal. They go to Schmell Park and do whatever they're going to do. They go to Washington Park where my family has deep roots. They go to Fountain Square. They go to government square. It's not, it's salt. It solves the problem are functional families, functional mothers and fathers and functional teenagers who conform to just dictates of the law that feel as if there's consequences for bad behavior. And we have a rather weak court system that individuals show up in juvenile court and judge Bloom doesn't consider it a serious matter. Everything's on the unofficial docket, which means there's no record and all kinds of bad things can happen, in which case, there's no record for the individual who does it and releasing them back into that situation is terrible. What we have a situation, this is outside your bailiwick too. And that is there's about four to five thousand homeless children gone in Cincinnati public schools. Now you and I live in functional communities with functional families.

10:26But if you're homeless and you're four to five thousand of those kids age appropriate roaming around Cincinnati on a free pass on a bus, that's a problem. You have nothing, you can't control that either. So this is a small piece of a larger problem and we can't have street takeovers anymore. Now I will also note that can a father or a mother or a guardian bring people say that are 18, 19 years old, Tony Bender often has guardianships of young children. He likes to bring them into exciting areas and is it legal to do that if you bring an adult with you? So on Friday and Saturday nights, if you want to come to the bank after 10 o'clock at night, you either must be 21 or older or you must be accompanied by a parent, not an adult, a parent. There's a difference. So the other 19 year old can't show up with this 21 year old brother and get in. You have to be there with a parent.

11:27Okay. That's a big point. How do you determine who's a parent? I guess a 21 year old can't be the parent of a 19 year old. So if someone's age appropriate, maybe you got an 18 year old and the person appears to be 35 years old, what do you do? It's a tough thing. It's a tough call. The adult in the group is certainly going to be ID. It's nothing else. They're going to be stopped and they're going to be asked some questions and they're going to be asked questions by private security and there will be uniformed off duty since I police officers in the in the plaza area as well. So you're going to be asked, you're going to be asked some hard questions and you're going to be stopped for sure and you're not going to be able to ask a young person necessarily for an ID. You know, it could be a close call, but having done it for about a year, there tend to be very few of those. Does that usually pretty obvious? Does that negatively affect business?

12:28Because the message is we have to have security and by the way, these aren't on, these are not on duties since the 90 cops, correct? These are off duty cops and private security paid for by the businesses there, correct? Correct. Correct. You know, what we've heard from the businesses and frankly what we've heard from the patrons as well, from the guests that actually go through the checkpoints and come into the area and then frankly, they get ID'd again to get into the bars. There's a double check. So, you know, what we've heard is they're actually thanking us for being there. They're thanking us for doing this because they want to come to the banks. The banks is exceptionally popular. You know, there's 7 million people that come to the banks every year and for those that want to come and patronize the area, they want to have a sense of security and safety and the feedback that we got last year was thank you for being here. Thank you for doing this. This is great. You know, you're right. At 10 o'clock at night, there isn't anything here that is age appropriate for anything,

13:31anybody under the age of 21. So, let's preserve the environment for those that want to patronize the businesses and do so in a responsible fashion. And, you know, the kids need to find some place that is age appropriate and safe and structured for them to recreate. And, you know, whether there's a curfew or not, it's in place of being enforced, you know, irrespective of that. It's not a place for young people, you know, after a certain hour in the evening. When I speak to some of the shakers and movers in Cincinnati, they tell me they want an overall security plan for downtown, because downtown, some say, teetering, the publicity nationwide we received on Reds Opening Day was awful. It's happened before, lots of shootouts on Fountain Square, lots of crime being committed in Washington, Park, and OTR. And the 25 large business owners in Cincinnati, the Procter & Gamble, the Jeff Ruby Steakhouse is the Joseph Automotive Group, the Kroger facilities, the big boys in town have told

14:37the city they want an overall security plan that makes sense. It's recently, right after we had the the fracas on Reds Opening Day, I spoke to, I circled back to two or three of those and said, do you have a plan? And the answer is no, no functional plan has been put in place. Can you agree or disagree with the idea that the banks is part of it, but you got Schmale Park, you got Fountain Square, you got Washington Park, you got OTR, you got government square, you got the downtown business district, we're going to have in the next year or two a large hotel with the convention center. Are you part of discussions to develop an overall plan outside of the banks? We have not been a part of those conversations, we would be happy to be a part of those conversations and we are, I would guarantee you that the businesses of the banks are supportive of those conversations. You know, there's a lot of people that care deeply about the state of downtown Cincinnati and an overall security plan would be a, I think a welcome addition and welcome news

15:46to certainly all of the banks' businesses and stakeholders. And I would be hard for us to imagine that anything they roll out, we would not be supportive of. It's a social plan, I see the same stuff in Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis, it's the same thing happening in major cities, large numbers of kids without things to do, many times there's a free bus pass that allows transportation. By the way, are there free, dear knowledge, I think there were free bus passes on opening day. Are there free bus passes now to your knowledge? I am not aware of free buses, there was an opening day, Metro was running free routes on opening day, which I believe they've done for like the last 10 years or so, but this free car runs and it's free, I mean I think there are some environmental things that you can do still to help kind of knock down some of this, whether it's getting rid of the scooters, getting rid of the red bikes, which quite frankly it's been demonstrated, they are part of criminal activity and facilitating criminal activity, perhaps charging for

16:51the street car after a certain point in the evening, that kind of transportation and moving folks around and facilitating bad activity and bad behavior, those are things like some slow hanging fruit to me, and perhaps that will be part of an overall safety and security plan that hopefully sounds like maybe rolling out soon, and you're right, this is not an issue unique to Cincinnati, it is going on all around the country and it takes a, coming at the problem from a lot of different angles and at the moment the bank is trying to do what it can to support our business community and frankly keep them around, you know, because the problem doing, this is an exceptionally expensive endeavor, not just, yeah, this is the second year in a row, so you know, this is not a budgeted expense, nobody just has $300,000 laying around, but the cost of doing nothing is too great and our customers

17:53and the feedback that we've gotten from, you know, the city and the police and the stakeholders are down to the customers are, it's been well received, so we're happy to put it in place again and try and do our part at least for our little neighborhood. You know, it's sad that you have to, you have to be a mother and a father and a guardian and a protector of children engaged in terrible acts, people doing this are not 25 and 45 years old, they tend to be 15 to 25 years old, and when you say, well, you know, we can't provide free buses, that's what we shouldn't do that because it facilitates movement, what we should, the free street car, well, that facilitates movement, scooters and red bikes, I assume companies are involved in that trying to make a buck and that's being used to commit crime and it's just a sad commentary on our society and probably Cincinnati is better off than other major American cities. I think we're better off than St. Louis or Chicago or Atlanta, but unless it's going to be stopped, we can't continue like this and this $300,000

18:54is part of like the HOA fee that the businesses are paying based upon square footage and they didn't budget this and it's going to be, it's going to hit the bottom line and those costs will be passed on to customers and the form of higher prices that people pay and that's not, that's not good either. Well Tracy Schwagman, thank you. I was going to talk about my rap career, you and I were together a couple nights ago in an event and I started rapping and I couldn't stop and I just wrapped out and you said that I could be the voice of our generation and I just feel good about that. You know, Bill, you could be great breaking totally new ground with that rap career, you know, it's quite intriguing. That's a nice way to put it. My wife says, Penny tells me you're making a doing fully yourself, but you know, I'm sure M&M in the beginning made a fool of himself and then he got better because of repetition. So that's kind of my goal. I want to be the voice of our generation. Oh, there you go. Do you ever listen to rap? By the way, do you listen to rap music? You and Tom Weidman? I don't listen to rap music. It's not my genre.

19:59Well, that's a concern. Now, my music, my music is, you know, I grew up with it, you know, the 70s and 80s and now that's the, that stuff rolls on the oldies stations. So, you know, that just, that just shows you where I am. I'm rapidly rolling into the oldies station. Yeah. Well, I mean, everybody's getting older if they're lucky and if they're not lucky, they don't get older. But, but nonetheless, my wife is a reason there's not a rapper for our generation because there's no market. But that's a difference. Well, I use a smart lady. Your wife is a smart lady. So, you know, you may, you know, certainly listening to her feedback is, is, is going to make your life a little easier. God bless America Tracy. Good luck tonight. We'll see what happens. I know they're good because when they broke this morning, Emma's now, and I watch it so you don't have to, did not mention peace breaking out on the streets of Hormuz. And they didn't cover it for about an hour or two because they didn't want it to happen. Do you have a sense that liberals in the mainstream media does not want Donald Trump or America to be successful in anything they do, but especially in the Middle East. This could be the signature achievement of any American president in the last 20 to 25 years when things actually happen in a good and proper way. And so yeah, I mean, it's wonderful. Right now, the market's up to about a thousand and gasoline prices are plummeting. And I think basically the Democrats are unhappy about this. They don't want good things to happen. And what the opposite do occur, which is kind of a bad thing, would you agree?

22:03Also, as I speak, the Pope is continuing to travel in Africa, which I think is a great thing. I love the Pope and I love Donald Trump. I'm not choosing between the two of them. One is it walks in the shoes of the fishermen. And the other one has peace breaking out all over the world, which is quite unusual. Would you agree? And so because of all those things going on, I have a great sense that great things will occur in the Middle East because Donald Trump is in charge to make these things occur. And that's my story. And I'm sticking to it. And so one thing the Pope continues to talk about is God loves the peacemakers, but of course they do. But when I speak to certain theologians, they tell me there's at least 500 references in the Bible to wars, fights, fracuses, crusades, whatever you want to call them, were good triumphs over evil. And in this regard, whether you like it or not, we are the good guys. We are America's and I said, God's representative on earth. Between America

23:10and Israel, we function in a way that the other countries do not imagine the world without America. We'd be speaking German or Japanese. And so when you begin with the premise that we are the good guys, we're doing what's right against evil doers. And in the modern world, Iran are 47 year evil doers. Their little Hitlerites are little Germans. Muhammad bin Salman, the leader of Saudi Arabia, has warned us for years that ultimately they're going to get a nuclear weapon and they're going to nuke Israel and they're going to nuke us. And then when they have nuclear, when they have nuclear missiles, they're going to go after America because they're a death cult. Now, we've not confronted someone like this before, not even Russia and North Korea, the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, he kind of wants to live. The leaders of Iran, they want to die and take a lot of people with them, especially Jews, Christians, and Americans. From the time they took over 47 years ago, this cult

24:14in charge of Iran have said death to the great Satan and to the little Satan. We are the great Satan. They want to nuke. They want to kill you. They want to set off an EMP on the top of Kansas and destroy every communication device in the modern world we live in the United States of America. That's what they want. So I wish the Pope would say, you know, in Iran, they're killing 30 to 50,000 of their own people over a several week period that women sentenced to death who are virgins are ganged raped before they're hung that little children have the keys to heaven put around their neck and marched into minefields to blow them up so Iranian soldiers can proceed in Iraq. They use weapons of mass destruction for the 10-year war with Iraq in which over a million Muslims were killed. And head on top of that, what they did to the Marines in Beirut, what they did to American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, killing, killing, killing. It is a

25:16death cult and they're the Sidest in the head of the snake. So I wish the Pope would say, you know what? I may want to comment on some of Donald Trump's less temperate remarks about ending a civilization. He meant to saying, I think, ending the reign of the, of the Ayatollas, not the Iranian civilization that we're on the side of. We want to be with the Iranian people against the Ayatollas. We don't want to be with the Ayatollas and destroying Iranian civilization. So he kind of cleaned those remarks up. And I don't like the fact the president pictures himself as the Christ. That was taken down. I don't like that. But put that in proportionality to everything else. We have a great president doing great things in Washington. And he's also right now having a peace, a powwow between Lebanon and Israel with America sponsoring it. That it's not happened for decades. And peace is breaking out

26:16all over the world. And so the Pope Leo, the only American pope, was some say I had a guest on the other day that he was selected as a counterbalance against Donald Trump. That is the least American of all the American cardinals. And so yeah, maybe that's a factor. He's also very well liked. He's also voted as a Republican. When I had my guest on the other day, Paul Kanker, he said that likely that the Pope in 2024 voted for Donald Trump because he's voted Republican along with his family and his brother for years. So one other thing, the Vatican. I've been there. The stone walls are about 18 feet tall and about 10 feet thick. There's no illegals or refugees living in the Vatican. That doesn't happen. They tightly control who comes and goes in the Vatican with high walls. Well,

27:17what so when the cardinals here talk about soupitch and others that get rid of the walls, what about the walls at the Vatican? The Pope has very high walls. He has armed guards and they do not accept illegals or refugees to live there. In fact, you and I may want to go there. We can visit, we can't stay there without permission and we can't become a citizen. They don't allow it. The Pope doesn't allow it. And there's all kind of, I went over the other day, all the just wars that we've been involved in. And by every definition, this is a just war by Catholic principles. When the Pope the other day was talking about how peacemakers, the who advocate for war, that somehow God does not hear what they have to say. I think that was directed at Donald Trump. Well, I want to share with you a message delivered by Dwight D. Eisenhower on June 5th, 1944, was Ward War II a just war? Absolutely. Did the Catholic Church support that? Absolutely.

28:25And the Bible was 500 or more. I said 500 or more circumstances in which wars have been declared to be just. And I guess the Pope is saying this is not a just war. Dwight D. Eisenhower said the following, let us be siege the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking. I think every American believes that our invasion of France was a great and noble undertaking that it was fully appropriate for Eisenhower to ask God to do these things. He called upon God to bless the occasions. And just like may I say FDR and Truman and much like Eisenhower, Donald Trump firmly believes firmly believes this is a just war against a country about to have nuclear weapons that they would use. In fact, what they have now in their canisters, the Enriched Uranium is sufficient to create dirty bombs. Now they can't get them out from underneath the mountain. But if they knew what was going to happen down the road, they're going to put those canisters on the back of trucks and disperse them throughout the

29:29Middle East. In which case, there would be parts of the Middle East unoccupied for the next 500 years. They have told us repeatedly they want to kill us. They have the means and the method to do it. And Donald Trump stopped them. So I wish the Pope in a sense would stay in his lane. Of course, my religious friends tell me he's in his lane. Then if he's in that lane, I want to hear strong and brutal criticisms by Pope Leo against the Iranian regime that is killed literally millions of people and promised to kill millions and millions more. It's not happening. And there's a sense of unhappiness at CNN and MSNOW and their nitpicking this deal to say, well, the straights or her moves may be open, but it's not open to Iranian vehicles vessels. And that is correct. If Trumpster would have played the game that Obama played and Biden played and opened up the straits to all nations, then Iran would stretch this thing out forever. He wants a conclusion. He wants it to stop by stopping Iranian vessels from exiting or entering the straits or her moves and let all the other

30:36ships do it. Then he's sending the message that when we get together, maybe this weekend or Monday or Tuesday in Islamabad and Pakistan, we want a final solution. We want to take possession and control of the thousand pounds of Amit Shirenium. We want you to state positively that we're not the great Satan anymore. And then any relief that we give you on sanctions will be used to uplift the Iranian people and not put in the pockets of Hezbollah, Hamas and the Tunis. And if he does that, then the peace prize should be the least of his rewards that he receives. But let's face it, the media and the Democratic Party do not want that at all. In fact, they want him to fail. We're not living here in a theocracy. We're living in a freedom-loving state in which we have multitudes of difficulties. One thing we do have though is free elections. And Donald Trump said during the election, in fact, he said it for the last 30 to 40 years that Iran is ahead of the snake and they must be brought down. Now they have a circumstance where it is more likely than not that Iran

31:41will accept this. And if that occurs and there's peace between Israel and their Arab neighbors in the Middle East, that would be truly unbelievable. Incredible. Secondly, we have the circumstance where this chief of police from a small town in and around near the Dayton area shows up at two or three local high schools in order to check things out or shall I say to check on the status of some illegal immigrants that are staying in those high schools. A couple of things. The ICE came out with a statement, said that the officials were performing welfare checks at public schools, Cincinnati. Well, number one, if you're in charge of this chief of police is in charge of the welfare of a legalist in this country, I might add it legally. The last place to check on a welfare of a student would be in a school because those are in a

32:41sense artificial. But I mean, that's not where the kid lives. You don't check the living circumstances of a child in a school. You check it later on. So when gratis police chief, Tonina Lamana and an officer visited three Westside schools on Wednesday, yesterday, day before yesterday, working on behalf of ICE. She was too far out the limb. No, you don't do that. You don't do it because there's no welfare check available objectively to kids in school. You check there where they live, where they sleep, are they being fed properly? Who's watching after them? And also, ICE does not target schools for enforcement actions. I said, quote, yesterday, a local law enforcement partner attempted to verify school enrollment and conduct welfare checks on children who arrived on a company across the southern border. How about this number? During the four years of Joe Biden, there were 600,000 children unaccompanied come across the

33:45southern border. Many were trafficked. And ICE went on to say that to be crystal clear, this was not an ICE officer or an enforcement action. And so the story is, why do we have in this country about a half a million unaccompanied children living tether and fro in dangerous circumstances? And it's not much of a story that some chief of police took it upon herself to do welfare checks and a school that she should not have done. In fact, ICE has said we don't do enforcement inside schools or hospitals. So this event will be used by the radical left for a long time in order to smear Donald Trump and ICE. 39:57the good news out of the Middle East. Well, the good news is that Iran is beginning to see the light that they know that they have no other pathway other than to cooperate. Their economy is in shambles. They need they need to have a peace deal. And this is good news for the global economy. It's good news for the American cause to take ultimately make the leading sponsor of state terrorism a toothless tiger. And that would be a great thing for the world. But hopefully we can get that deal with Iran. We can bring peace and then and then restore prosperity to the people of Iran with a but it needs to be a non nuclear Iran if we're going to have a security in around the globe. I never liked Trump saying well, it was reported. He never said it. It was reported that Trump won at 20 years. That'd be like keeping it. I'll fit learn charge in Germany for 20 years. We'll come back and see how it works out. And of course, the at this point,

40:59there may be a meeting this weekend, Islamabad. In fact, the president of the city may fly to Pakistan. I would hope he wouldn't do that. But nonetheless, have you noticed that if it's good news for the country that Chuck Schumer and your friends in the Senate go the opposite direction? If something good happens by Democrats, that's bad. Yeah, look, you know, you would listen to them and almost sound like they wanted Iran to win. Which is just puzzling to me. It's like look, I can understand you can disagree with the with the strikes. You can disagree with the tactics that you should be for American success. You shouldn't be the safety and the troops. You should be for the success of the economy. On that issue, you've been there about about a year, year and a half. And can you tell us why the Senate is so dysfunctional? Can't get anything done? I'm told that four, five of your fellow Republicans would not vote to get rid of the filibuster.

41:59Well, why is the Senate so dysfunctional and so much out of session and how come nothing gets done in the U.S. Senate? Why? Well, Bill, I can tell you on the session side of things, we were in session more days in 2025 than the Senate had been in 50 or 60 years. And I never missed a vote the whole time. But the reason is is because Chuck Schumer has used the rules of the Senate to drag everything out. There's 1100 people that you need to confirm under the rules. He wanted us to vote 1100 different times rather than doing them and what we call unblocked. So we began to change the rules last year to try to make it more efficient. But yeah, look, the rules of the Senate require 60 votes to get things done. You would have to end the filibuster. There are not enough votes in the filibuster. And so you just have to deal with the rule. It was, one of the things I learned as a newbie there is that it wasn't designed the founding of the Senate

43:04and the rules that have been designed over the years were to not allow the federal government to do a lot of things because it didn't want the federal government to take more power. They wanted to leave the power with the states, let the states be the engine of democracy, not the federal government. That's why it was set up like that. But now over 200 plus years that the federal government has been able to gain a lot of power. It's not a very functional institution in terms of getting the job done and governing. And it's because of the rules and the way our politics are these days. But I will tell you this, I have one of only two people that haven't missed a vote of the Senate. As far as going forward in the Senate, it appears it's completely dysfunctional. And secondly, when the Democrats take over everything, which will happen at some point, I pray to God it's not for another five to ten years. But if the polls are right, 28 is going to be a great democratic year and 26 in the midterms, who knows?

44:10But is it true that you believe that when the Democrats seize power, President, House, and the Senate, they're going to get rid of the filibuster anyway, which means that they can admit Puerto Rico as a state, Washington DC as a state, that they can make legal, all the illegals, they can register them to vote as to give them their citizenship papers, they'll get an application to sign. In other words, the world fundamentally changes because maybe a few Republicans have principles, but the democratic senators do not. And so every one of them with the possible exception of John Fetterman, who's not likely to be there after 2028 anyway, as he'll be voted out of office, that the Senate, when it's controlled with the House and the presidency, they're going to vote to eliminate the filibuster and make the Senate look like the House. Yeah, I don't believe that'll happen. I could be wrong, but and I accept that I might be wrong about that, but I don't believe so, because it would fundamentally bring extreme partisanship to the Senate, which was, again, designed to be a place

45:18where you stop bad things from happening. I hope it doesn't happen because that's the thing that you, what you described, will be exactly what happens. They'll back to the Supreme Court, they'll make Washington DC a state, and then if we gain back control, then we'll divide Texas up into five states, and we'll make Texas five states, and we'll add them. I mean, you just get one party trying to up the ante against the next. I just think that American people want to solve problems, and they don't want us to resort to things like that. That's the kind of guy I'll try to be. I'll just try to be normal and solve problems. I can go there and play games. I want there to get things done. We've got some things done. We've got the working family tax cut plan done, which for the average family of four in the state of Ohio, making $80,000 a year, it's more than $5,000 tax benefit, and we're not just talking about no tax on tips and no tax on over time, increased standard deduction for every family, including a $2,200 tax credit for working families

46:25with children. It's $6,000 deduction for each senior citizen, trying to help everybody letting keep more money, more of the money that they earned to spend and save on their priorities versus what the Democrats would have done, which would have literally built over 10 years, many four trillion dollar tax increase on working families. That's what I went there to do. That's what we're getting done. I went there before, fund order protections, but we don't have open orders of people pouring into this country, and then going to sanctuary cities, sanctuary states, committing crimes and terrorizing the American people with more drugs, more human trafficking. That's what we did. I'm for stopping men from playing women's sports. We've been cracking down on that. That's the stuff I went there to get accomplished, and we're doing those kinds of things. I'm not sure you fit in if you want to get things accomplished on two other fronts, the crime problem. I might not fit into that place. No. I'm fine with that. I'm just trying to bring good comments and the Washington, and they may not like me, and they may not think that you know,

47:29that's the way we should do things, but that's sure set up and we're trying to do well in there. Well, I mean, right now you're getting an endorsement of labor unions, which is a good thing. That's right out of the muscle of Sherrod Brown, who spent a lifetime there getting nothing done, and you're angering everybody. But on two other fronts, one is the save act, which is the safeguard American voting eligibility. And I guess you can't break the filibuster there, because Chuck Schumer wants as many illegals as possible to vote. They want to happen. In a one thing in Ohio, you know, this way of a functional male by ballot system. But many of the blue states simply send out to everybody who's registered to vote a ballot. And there's no confirmation of seconds or no confirmation if you're legal or not. None of that. Ohio is functional. Why why won't the save act be passed in the Senate? So as you as you know, Bill, when Chuck Schumer said recently, he said, well, I'm against the save act, but we're against the save act, but not the photo ID part. And I as a former secretary

48:32state, my ears perked up and I said, oh, really? So let's go do this then. If that's right, then we'll do it. And so I sponsored a clean bill on strictly photo ID and said, okay, just drivers license state ID passport, military veterans ID or tribal ID, the same law that we have in Ohio. I said, great. We'll just do that for the whole country. And in every single Republican voted for it, every single Democrat voted against it, including Chuck Schumer. If you want to know what he thought he was going to get himself over the out of the out of the fact that 80% of American people think photo ID's common sense. He was trying to get the media up his back. So he said that. And so I gave him a chance to put their words into action. And they said, no, they wouldn't do it. Now, I believe that there are ways, and I'm going to try and come up with some ways through the reconciliation process that requires 50 votes to fund photo IDs

49:35for all 50 states to require the state to use the same database to check for citizenship. And perhaps, perhaps, I can't promise it. I'm going to try that we have another vehicle, which we can get this done, but I won't give up on it. We'll keep trying. We'll try to introduce good old Ohio common sense to the whole country. Because you pointed it out in California, they send out ballots to everybody that's registered. They don't require an ID check. And you simply, I get to assign the name. So if young Bill Cunningham went out to be a student at UCLA, and you had an apartment, and then you moved back to Cincinnati, after you were done, you're still registered, and they'd still be sending you a ballot. It also made have to do is sign Bill Cunningham and boom, they could vote under your name. That system stinks. We're trying to fix it. Lastly, about about the issue of crime, you have experience with such things with

50:37this eight major cities in Ohio. There's not one Republican elected to any city council of the of the 72 city council members. It's 72 zep per all Democrats. No time soon is handling a county slash Cincinnati. It's going to turn Republican again, at least for the, I don't know, 20, 30, 40, 50 years. It's going to be Democrats. I had on earlier today, the person in charge of security at the banks. And she related to me is going to be curfews 10 o'clock at night. You have to be at be 21 or older. And according to police officers, that'll push the so-called street take over crowd to Schmale Park. It'll put them and fountain square, and I'll put them in places that they really, they don't belong and Tracy Swagman who's in charge of a fine lady said, you know, we're doing the best we can. Is there a solution to massive lawlessness so that the cities in Ohio do not look like St. Louis and Baltimore and Chicago? Is it salvageable?

51:42Well, you got it. It's pretty simple. Enforced the rule of law. That's that. Meaning if somebody breaks the law, they get arrested. They go to jail. You sign them to court. And whatever the punishment is under the law, you put them in jail. You put them in prison and make them accountable. Because you want to know what happens when you start doing that. Other people say, hey, I don't want to go to jail. I don't want to go to prison. So I'm going to stop doing this nonsense. But until local, the local judicial system, the local system enforcement is willing to hold people accountable, you will not see a change in behavior. We know this. Look, anybody who's been John, you said you're still with me. Well, it's live radio. And I think he just dumped off, is he back? Let's see. All right, I think he's back. John, you said you're back with us.

52:51He's not. All right. Maybe he's gotten a bad cell. But he was getting on to the point that judge Carrie Bloom and Hamilton County, juvenile court has a system in place in which criminals who come into her courtroom are not treated as criminals because she has an unofficial docket. So the unofficial docket means that there's no record of someone being arrested and found delinquent. And secondly, in the Hamilton County, we have a history of sending over to adult court, serious criminals who are underage. Adult crime means adult time. And so far, this year, I was told that there's been one sent over of all the murders, et cetera, one and no more. When this should be quite a few more, John, you said you bumped. You were in midstroke talking about city crime. If you can pick it up where you were, that'd be great. Please. Yeah, well, you got to enforce the rule law. We know that there are, if there are no consequences, people will continue to do what they're doing. You have to, you have to arrest people. You have to put them in jail and you have to put them in prison. If

53:53they're unwilling to follow the rules, if they're going to change behavior, I often say, you know, citizens get the government they deserve. And if the people of the city, Cincinnati want totally this functional public schools, massive lawlessness. And if they want looting and if they desire to have a non accountability for committing numerous crimes and offenses, you get what you get what you vote for. In the last election, Liz Keating and Chris Mitherman finished way out of the money on the top nine. And the mayor lost only about 18% of the vote. And so ultimately, it'll be up to a citizens to change government. And thus far, can you have a national reach? Is there any blue city, blue state that's turned back from left wing progressiveism to your knowledge? Well, he's gone again. All right. Well, let's, uh, the answer might be none. It is quite unusual. Let's

There's many issues happening, including the first energy criminal trial. We have Kowshi, which is like a national international betting service. That's been fine. I think like five million dollars for betting on whether or not someone's going to be elect him and not elected. When when the home moves straights open up or close right now, they're mainly open, but who knows? It's kind of an odd thing you can bet on. My focus there is going to be underage. I'd make betting like you got to be 35 years old to bet. I don't know if David use likes that at all. You got his objection to the next star, acquiring more stations. You got the death penalty. He's very active in that. We don't have a death penalty. No one's been executed for the last, I don't know, nine or 10 years, been a long time. And because God bless Mike DeWine, he just doesn't believe in the death penalty, despite the fact the voters voted for it. And it's there, but it's not used. Joining you now is David Yoast. David, this is not quite an exit interview

1:18:05because after all, you got another seven or eight months to go, but you've been in public service for a long time. And you got another eight or nine months to go. Let's talk for parents. Let's talk about Kalshi. Explain what is Kalshi, finding five million dollars, a little bit of an amorphous. What is Kalshi? Yeah, yeah. Kalshi is what they call a prediction market. And there's all kinds of things you can do what they call a swap. So the idea is if you want to bet whether the traits of poor moves will be open or not, you can put money down on that. And if you're right, then it pays off. Now, it's actually in the form of a swap contract. And they're saying that this is preempted by the federal government. And because hedge funds and stuff use these swap contracts, you're for economic purposes. But most of everybody actually comes from sports betting,

1:19:11sports events and pieces of sports events. And our argument, which one federal court has already agreed with us on, is that, you know, it looks like a dog, barks like a dog, it's a dog. He supports betting is just the same as going to the Caesars or, you know, fan duel or whatever. And you place your bet. So we are, the state is finding them a five million dollar fine for basically running an illegal gambling operation. We'll see where that goes. Well, the state, I'm sure that's going to be appealed forever. And the voters of Ohio approved this kind of like when the voters approved abortion. Without knowing what that means, you can have an abortion up to the moment of birth, healthy mother, healthy baby abortions are okay and Ohio, which is something we don't want. But nonetheless, we say to a game, the okay, you can come

1:20:11in. But does the state of Ohio get a cut from Calchi on these events or not? No, and they're arguing that the state doesn't have any right to regulate them, that it only belongs to the federal government. But they're, they're competing with operations that are actually paying, they're playing by the rules and paying their taxes. So it's fundamentally unfair to treat them differently. And that's what the argument's about. You can like gambling or not get like gambling. I'm not a big fan of it. And I think it does more harm than good. But that's a policy question. What this argument that is about is, you know, are you subject to the gambling laws in Ohio? And they say, no, we're not. And I beg to differ. Well, I like that idea. Can, can you make it so young Americans cannot use a phone to bet? Is

1:21:15that, you're the attorney general. If you have kids that are 14, 15, 18, 17, they go online, they, you know, they bet legally in the state of Ohio. Can you kind of ban that and tell they're about, I don't know, 74 years old? Well, I think there's just to be a rational basis for the age limit. But sure, of course you can. And the question is, what is the political will? There's a huge amount of money sloshing around in these markets. It isn't really technologically any different than the porn markets. You know, we've got online porn. Some states have required age verification. And, you know, the porn outlets, the porn hubs of the world said, you know, we're not going there. And they just closed down in those markets. So the technology exists. The legal right exists if the legislature wants to, wants to exercise it.

1:22:15Let's talk about the first energy criminal trial. About 200 miles north of here, first energy has been in the news. I don't know for 10, 12 years in which there was a bailout of nuclear power plants and allegedly monies went back and forth to the politicians. I think householders still in prison. I think he's been up there maybe for five or six years. Got a 20 year sentence, which, by the way, I think it's ridiculous. Put me in charge. I would have given him like a five year sentence. That's a different issue. Judge Black is angry about that. So we got 20 years. The first energy trial, the first energy executives criminally, your office was involved in that. There was a hung jury. Do you know what the split was for guilty or not guilty, by the way? 10 to for guilt. Is that weighing in your opinion, your factor to try them again? Oh, sure. I mean, if it had been, you know, one guy thought they were guilty and everybody else was, you know, wanted to acquit. I think we'd have to look at that very closely. But the fact of the matter is the jury spent nine days deliberating. And there were two people that just wouldn't move.

1:23:18Lots of classic instance where you take another shot at it. Joe Dieter's has retried cases there. And Hamilton County after a hung jury and, you know, the jury ultimately convicted. And in one case that I could think of, they didn't did not come back with conviction. But, yeah, that's pretty standard in these kinds of things. So this was state of Ohio versus Michael Dowling and Charles E. Jones. And one might make the argument that this is destroying them financially because of the expensive defending themselves. Does that weigh into your opinion that they've already gotten one hell of a punishment already or is that irrelevant to you? Well, it's not relevant to this case because it's not true. They're not paying a dime for this. Yes, paying for it. I guess we are. First energy. Okay. First energy has a duty to pay for their defense because they were officers of the corporation and, you know, they're on the hook for it. So, no, they haven't been punished at

1:24:22all other than, you know, the, I suppose the bad publicity is a little bit of a punishment. But here's the thing. And Bill, this just grinds my soul. We would get these situations where some public official, you know, gets big eyes and, you know, wants to go after more money than they ought to have or, you know, more power than they ought to have. And we get some kind of corrupt thing going on. Well, sometimes politicians like Larry House Order ends up going to jail. And that's appropriate. What about the guys that write the checks? You know what? There's no public corruption if there's not money in the system to make it happen. If there's not people paying the bribes or making the campaign contributions trying to get the influence. And that's, there's got to be accountability in the private sector in the public sector. And so, ultimately, first energy. I imagine this defense is a multi-million dollar deal

1:25:25that the users of first energy utilities will be paying the bill. Is that right? Well, ultimately, yeah. I'm sure that they have a, you know, what they call errors and omissions, a director insurance that is, you know, paying part of the cost of this, but the cost of those premiums were paid by the ratepayers. And it's, it's, it's, it's not right. Well, ultimately, the insurance to errors and omissions, that's all these costs are paid. My point is at the, at the bottom of the well, the taxpayer is picking up the cost directly or indirectly of the alleged criminal activity of first energy executives. Am I right about that one? I would argue that that's correct. Now, thirdly, since I have you here, you've been in favor of the death penalty since your days as a county prosecutor. And effectively, it's fair to say we don't have a death penalty in Ohio. Although we do. Well, it's on the books, but it is never used. As if we haven't had an execution since 2018.

1:26:29Why? Well, that's a great question for the governor. He suggests that the people that supply the lethal drugs to carry out capital punishment have said, hey, if you use our stuff to carry out capital punishment, we're not going to sell you any of our drugs and, you know, Medicaid and Bureau workers comp and the retirement systems and all those people are going to be shut out of the marketplace. And he says, well, I just can't do that. Well, Horsaki is my response. We've got other states that are continuing to carry out their law. And somehow they seem to be able to get the medicine and the drugs just fine. I think it's convenience. Excuse. It's a straw man that he set up so he doesn't have to answer to the people why he won't take care to faithfully execute the laws of this state. And I think it's a travesty. And you're referring to

1:27:33Mike DeWine. Yeah, I'm referring to the governor. It's his responsibility and his decisions. Well, we have fed all degrees with me and he got he wasn't one that got elected. I didn't get elected governor. So he gets to do that. But I get to be critical if I want to and I'm the chief law officer of this state. And I'm critical of his decisions here. Right. You know, we have also fentanyl. We could use fentanyl. That happens all the time. We have firing squads. We have hangings. Hangings are not bad. All those things are available. And he was elected governor. And I wasn't. You weren't Tony Benderwooden. And he's the governor. He decides. But the laws on the books. And you got to faithfully execute the laws and not come up with an excuse not to do it. Is that fair to say? Well, that's where I would be. All right. Now, another issue is next star media group has has acquired, I think, Tegna, T E N G. And I'm looking at this press release. They've closed on the transaction. I think they paid like six billion dollars. Now that there's media reports that

1:28:35you and some other A Gs generally from blue states are opposing this, even though they've paid the money, explaining American people why you oppose this. And by the way, TV radio media is in difficulties in straits. Most media companies are in bankruptcy. In radio, that's the case. TV is, they got 500 channels to choose from. So I guess the argument is to survive. You're going to have to consolidate otherwise go out of business. So do you oppose that or not oppose that in Ohio? So I'm concerned about it. I have not entered the law suit yet. We will have to make a decision about that by the end of this month, whether we're going to or not. And we're talking with them. Look, it's not my job to police the entire country. Ohio has anti-trust laws. I'm concerned about Ohio and we've got two markets in this deal. Columbus and Cleveland, thankfully not Cincinnati, where we will basically have a duopoly. We'll be down to two news stations in terms of ownership

1:29:41in each of those towns. I'm concerned about that. And I'm not convinced, you know, radio and television or different kinds of things. I'm not convinced that this is an economic necessity at this point. So we're talking candidly. If we can figure out a way to protect Columbus and Cleveland, it's not my job to worry about the other 49 states. And, you know, I'm willing to talk. But I don't think this is good for Ohio. It's reducing competition. It's consolidating and trending toward monopoly power. And that's not going to produce good outcomes for the people of the state. You want my two cents worth? Tell me. It's worth two cents. Radio and TV television. I'll give you a nickel for it. I'll pay me a dime. But television news has lost about 60%

1:30:42of their market, whether it's channel 5, 9, 12, 19. And because there's 500 TV stations and no one's going to watch the evening news to say, Hey, what's the weather going to be? Well, I got the weather right here. How's the traffic? Well, I got two apps. Tell me about traffic. What about sports? Well, I kind of know what's happening in sports from ESPN everywhere. So TV is losing, losing, losing, share constantly. And therefore, they'll lose an income. Radio, talk radio is different. Unlike FM, if I want to hear an AC DC song, I'm not going to wait for two or three hours for an oldie station or a rock station. Hey, they're going to play that AC. No, I go to my handheld device and I listen to AC DC, but talk radio long form like you and I do. The listener can hear the attorney general talk in real time. If there's a breaking news story, top and bottom or break in, we got Sandy. We got people come in. Hey, this was happening in news. TV tells you what happened during the day. By then it's still newspapers. They're collapsing too

1:31:46because it doesn't work. And spirit airlines is going to collapse today. The Biden administration went and led Jeb Blue by spirit to consolidate. So now spirits going out of business, costing thousands of jobs. And so in TV, you can't talk to anybody in TV news without telling or we're in trouble because it's a 30 second hint of a shot fired or a traffic accident. And to survive, you have to consolidate much like I heart media did with AM stations. And so we're flourishing because we can have the reds game live. We're going to have Brian Combs comes in. Hey, we got a traffic accident right here. TV can't do that in radio. And so I can talk to you for 15 to 20 minutes. TV can't do that either. So to survive, TV has got to consolidate and operate properly. Can you smell when I'm cooking? Yeah, and I don't think it's completely wrong. But here's what here's the untold story. This

1:32:48isn't just a consolidation issue. This is also about monetizing your product. So it's true that as terms of share, television has lost share in the last number of years. But you know what, if you go to the internet where most people do get their news these days, you know what, that's coming from TV stations. The vast majority of stuff that you get on social media or other websites is coming from those newsrooms. So the fact that we're allowing the piracy of this intellectual work product is a policy problem that Congress has failed to identify and to remedy. That's why these operations are going down. So the solution is not to cannibalize them, create monopolies, which will then force a lot of other consolidation within

1:33:54the marketplace. The solution is to recognize that the value is being pirated and to make sure that that's properly compensated. All right. Well, at least you still have an open mind about this, but this is nothing negative about 5, 9, 12, 19. They do good job, et cetera. But there's 500 TV stations and whatever you want, it's on demand and talk radio. We're flourishing because we're immediate. We're here telling you what the news are. There's only one used to be four or five talk radio stations and Cincinnati with all due respect to 55 piracy, which I love. There's only one left. That's us because of consolidation and we're flourishing because of consolidation. And I worry that if TV stations aren't allowed to consolidate, they'll be out of business. We got to run, David. It's just simple like unlike a hockey hockey fight that they fight. Baseball players mill around and act tough and not much goes on. But we'll talk about that later on with sports talking more. But joining you now is Jay Phillips is the suit who is the treasurer of Fairfield City Schools.

1:44:36And also Billy Smith, the superintendent and these gentlemen are going to have a bond levee up. But I guess in May to try to have the voters in the Fairfield City School Districts. And impose kind of an income tax a small one instead of a property tax. So let's begin with Billy Smith, Superintendent and Fairfield. Billy Smith, first of all, what is your philosophy in putting on the ballot a small tax increase income-wise as opposed to real estate taxes? Yeah, sure, Willie. We are we're placed in a 1.25% percent earned income tax on the ballot in May. And really, you know, what we did was we have some community engagement sessions back in December. And overwhelmingly, that was kind of the feedback that we received from those participants is all things considered. They felt like that was the best option when we looked at all of the options, including property taxes. Again, all things considered, you know, property taxes is a hot blood issue right now. And then we've had some history with ballot issues

1:45:45and property tax issue a few years ago. And one of the big things we heard from our community a few years ago was, you know, they didn't agree with that in that it hurts, you know, taxing people out of their homes and folks who are retired and on disability. And so with an earned income tax, that's part of the, those are some of the positives with that is it does not impact those individuals who are retired or or on disability receiving pensions because again, it's an earned income tax. So I know that was a lot, but that's that's kind of how we got to where we are today. So Billy Smith, before I speak with Jay Phillips 1.25% other exemptions. Let's say it doesn't apply to capital gains. Does it apply to social security? What does it apply to? No, it does not apply to capital gains. It does not apply to social security. Earned wages only. So you're talking about earned wages,

1:46:46tips, bonuses, things like that. So social security is not included, retirement, funds are not included as well. All right. And how much money, you know, one thing I've done this for a long time and the one tax people really don't like are real estate taxes because your property may go up in value, but it's all on paper. You don't realize any gain until you sell it. And many older folks like Tony Bender and others want to get their financial house in order. And if people keep voting increases in property taxes, encourage to move. And so 1.25% is not a lot. And it only applies to earn income. And then are you going to sunset property taxes? How would the two work together if it passes? We are not going to sunset those property taxes. This would be in addition to right. And so, and again, probably getting into another topic here a little bit is the fact that in order to continue to do and provide what we are doing and providing right now,

1:47:51you know, this earned income tax will close that gap for us, right? And allow us to continue to do what we do right now. It is not about doing more. It's about maintaining our services and supports right now. So as a result, this would be in addition to. And again, going kind of down a different path, the reason it's necessary, the last last time the district passed the ballot issue for new monies was 2011. At that time, it was projected the last two to three years. We're worth 15 years in. And that's pretty remarkable and almost unheard of these days and regard to school districts, not being bringing in new money for operating expenses, especially when again, 2011 projected two to three years and we're in 2026. And lastly, before I've talked to Jay Phillips a little bit, the the treasurer, as far as what happens if this ballot initiative gets

1:48:54on, in which case, the people of Ohio vote to eliminate all property taxes. And I'm told by superintendents and teachers and firefighters and cops, that's real devastation. If you had no property tax as part of Fairfield City Schools, Billy Smith, what would that do to your budget? It would absolutely annihilate it. And all those groups of people, I have conversations with firefighters and law enforcement. And as far as I know, I don't think the state really has a plan B. If that is to happen, we really can't imagine all of these services and supports. We have no idea what that will look like. And that's hard to believe that something has been discussed and put forward, but yet there's no major conversation about what's what things are going to look like if that doesn't happen. In fact, happened. Well, Billy Smith, I talked to the governor and the

1:49:55speaker of the house and Bob McCullough, the president of the Senate and Columbus. They tell me they would have to increase the sales tax to 30%. I said 30. 30%. That means nothing will be purchased in Ohio. People to go to Indiana, Kentucky. Now lastly, Jay Phillips, you're the treasure. You know about the money as far as being raised, et cetera. The 1.25% on top of the present property tax, which has not gone back to the voters in some 15 or 16 years. How critical is that financially to Fairfield? Oh, it's huge, Billy. And first of all, hey, it's good talking to you. It's been a while. The 1.25% earned income tax raised about 23 million annually for us here in Fairfield. And that's over the course of the five years that we have a forecast our budget set for right now. All right, I should say our forecast set for right now. Now we're averaging about a deficit of about 23 million over that five years. So that's why we had to ask for the 1.25% to get us over

1:50:56that hump to be able to just equalize a budget and maintain current operations like Billy just talked about. And so critical. And I think many people in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, we all deal with it. And that is the cost of government is going up. But one thing in Fairfield, it's not gone up for the last 15 or 16 years. And this would only hit the earned income. And if you're a rich guy like Tony Bender and you live off capital gains and all that kind of stuff, you don't pay anything on it at all. It's earned income, which is I think similar to the city of Cincinnati to their credit. They don't tax social security, et cetera. And Billy Smith, is there a website I can send people to to get more information? Something of that character. Yes, there is if you got a Fairfield City Schools dot com. And if you go to that site and you click, there's a tab on there called earned income tax info. And I would and I would specifically, there's there's several links underneath that tab. There's one called did you know? And in that

1:51:59did you know, or some of the most unbelievable statistics for people, I think to see in terms of, you know, we hear the narratives, right? The schools have a spending problem. Well, the first did you know is Fairfield City School Districts operating expenditures rank 31st out of 32 districts across Hamilton and Butler County counties combined? There's there's a page and a half of those that are if people are really open-minded and want to see some facts, go to Fairfield City Schools dot com. Click on that tab. Go to the did you know? There's lots of information there. Please go check it out. All right. And you know, an informed electorate is the only chance democracy has. And those who vote on these issues have got to be informed and don't have a knee jerk reaction to saying, I'm voting against this. We have to know the facts. If you know the facts, which is an informed electorate, most people living in Fairfield know the facts. Hell, Butler County is pretty good. And I just hope the voters who have to vote this in or out understand the facts. But gentlemen,
