3983 Live Like It's Christmas!

About this episode

It's almost springtime, and right now, the last thing on your mind might be Christmas. But there's a powerful kind of energy that Christmas brings, one that doesn't just come from tinsel or twinkling lights. It's that deep-down, can't-keep-you-down spark of happiness and purpose that ignites even when you're running on empty. Live like it's Christmas!

Remember those Christmas nights? The ones where you stayed up late, exhausted but joyful, wrapping gifts, assembling toys, or setting up big surprises for your kids?

You did it all with a smile—even in the tiredness—because it mattered. Because giving, creating, and loving felt bigger than your fatigue.

Now think about where you are: maybe it's cold, with snow keeping you inside, and the hope of spring feels distant.

It's easy to get stuck in the blah-blah-blah-blah-blah of the "I'm so tired" and "when will this end?" routine. But here's the honest truth: You don't have to stay there.

You get to choose—right now—how you want to feel, how you want to show up. You're stronger and more capable than you give yourself credit for. Sitting around feeling sorry or stuck only guarantees you more of the same.

You get to choose. You get to create your now.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Live like it's Christmas!

So why not live every day like it's Christmas?

Not for the presents, the parties, or the decorations—but for the gifts you deliver to the world. Your talents, your knowledge, your kindness—they're the real treasures.

People around you need what you have, even if you don't realize it right now.

And if you're waiting around for "happy" to knock on your door, you might be waiting a LONG time, especially when you're in one of those tough seasons.

Instead, be the reason someone smiles. Invest your unique gifts. Be generous with your time, your heart, and your energy. Because Christmas isn't a date—it's a mindset. It's choosing to show up fully, even when the world feels cold and gray.

Live Like It's Christmas

by Kristianne Wargo

When winter drapes its heavy cloak,
And days stretch long in muted cold,
Remember those late-night wrapping hours,
Hands tired, heart wide and bold.

The quiet hum of purpose near,
A sparkle in the midnight air—
Not gifts alone made spirits bright,
But giving wrapped with love and care.

So when the world feels dull and gray,
And hope's a whisper on the breeze,
Don't wait for joy to find your door—
Give it first, and set it free.

Live like it's Christmas every day,
Not bound by season, date, or place,
The best of life is found in gifts
You give with courage, warmth, and grace.

Your talent, kindness, shining light—
These treasures no frost can tame,
They warm the coldest rooms you know,
And fan the brightest flame.

So rise beyond the tired sighs,
Choose joy despite your wear and tear,
For in the giving, in the heart,
You'll find your Christmas there.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

It's our TV show. I say, it's me on there. Yes, it doesn't directly correlate with what we're talking about, but it deals with Live Creating Your Now. It's more biblically driven, but I really invite you to come over there. I know those of you who have gone over there, you've loved it. There's also other people over there, other featured leaders, other podcast episodes, TV shows. It's not just about diving into my content, what you can, you search Creature Now, or you can just search my name either way, but it's really about seeing what fits. Maybe you'll find somebody else in addition to, don't leave me your family. But no, seriously, I know Live can get a little bit crazy, and I just want to send that reminder out, because it is almost springtime, right?

2:09And the last thing on your mind, guess what? Might be Christmas? Yeah, I told you I want to do a little different twist, but there's this powerful kind of energy that Christmas brings. You probably would agree with that, right? And I know we're like almost in March, not quite, but basically a blanket will be there. And here we'll get into July, and there already be having things out for Thanksgiving. If not already Christmas, I know July, Christmas and July, right? We hear all that. We're going to make it Christmas in February, late February, early March, because you know, one thing that stands out to me, it doesn't just come from the tinsel or the twinkling lights. That's not what Christmas is all about. Now, it's fun. Don't get me wrong. My grandson has told his mama, do not take down the Christmas tree until next year. And I'm like, yes. So I think grandma's going to go shopping, and we're going to go get some Easter things to decorate the tree,

3:09and we're going to put on just some fun things and make it spring light, keep it up. We'll take down the stockings, because you know, Super Bowl is over. So maybe we should take those down. That's usually when I take them down. But we can put up some other things that bring in the outside inward, right? But I think that's the issue. When it comes to whether or not we're feeling like we're feeling, because deep down, you know, it just can't hold back that happiness, that purpose that ignites even when you're running on empty. That Christmas brings. Live like it's Christmas. Now, let's go back a little bit. Remember those Christmas nights? The ones where you stayed up late, exhausted, but joyful, wrapping all the gifts, assembling the toys, maybe some big things that somebody was going to bring with you, or leave behind, if you know what I'm saying, you know, the big S here. I'm not going to say it because if you have little ones listening, I don't want to spoil at all. But maybe it's setting up the big surprises also. Remember those times?

4:14You did it with a smile, even the tiredness, even in the exhaustion, because it mattered, because giving, creating, and loving felt bigger than your fatigue. It was much bigger. It was much brighter. And it was almost like you were compelled to do it in a joyful manner. Now think about where you are now. Maybe it's a little cold outside. The wind has been hailing for us. We are in freezing temperatures ridiculous. Last night, but you know, we're like not below 20 degrees, but we're in the 20s. That's not good for me. I'm done. I'm in the south for a reason. This blood wants to be warm and not cold. And I'm done with it. I'm ready to move on. But maybe for you, you're a little bit further up north, and maybe you're experiencing the snowstorm. A lot of it. Lots and lots. Power outages. So if you're listening, thank you. And you have power outages, please conserve your energy. But sometimes, you know, we just hope till's distant.

5:18And so does spring. And we want something that's different. And it's easy to get stuck in the blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Right? Of life, all the things I'm so tired. When will this end? All these fussinesses of complaints that we spew out of our mouths that become our reality. But here's the honest truth. You don't have to stay there. You get to choose. You're now, right now. Create your now. How you want to feel, how you want to show up. You're stronger and more capable than you give yourself credit for. Sitting around feeling sorry or stuck. Only guarantees you more of the same. You get to choose my friend. You get to choose. So create your now. Live like it's Christmas and not for the presence, the parties or the decorations now. If you want to excuse to have that, then do it.

6:21Why not? Pick a charity. Donate. You don't have to have something going on. You can just say, come on over. We're going to do Christmas in February. Christmas in March. Why? Because we can. Maybe that's the uplift that you need. But it's not for all of those things that we're used to having around Christmas time. Because Christmas isn't about the presence, the parties or the decorations, the stuff that we as human beings bring in. It's about a little baby who was given to us as a gift to give us eternal life. Jesus was given to the world. And let me share this with you too. You are a gift to the world. You need to share and deliver those gifts to the world. The people that you impact, the world that you touch, your talents, your knowledge, your kindness. They're the real treasures. And you might be like, nobody told me that recently. Yeah, no.

7:23Because we hear all the crap stuff. We hear it from our kids. We hear it from the news. Even if we're not looking at the news, we see it and we compare, right? Go back to yesterday's episode, the walls of comparison. Are you living in that? It's hard to live in the walls of comparison. And then turn around and say, oh, I'm so happy. I'm so happy. You could pretend. But the people who love you most can see through that. And more importantly, you know you can see through that. I want you to love your reflection every single day regardless of your circumstances. You know, the people around you need what you have. Even if you don't realize it, they need you. You're here for a reason, for this season. And I believe in divine appointments. I don't know always how they work, but I'm very grateful for

8:26them. God and I have these conversations all the time. I don't know why you put me there, Lord, but I'm glad you did. Thank you for letting her cross my path. Thank you for letting me shake his hand and just hear him where he was in the moment that he was at. If you're waiting around for happy to knock on your door, it might be waiting a long time, especially when you're in one of those tough seasons. Instead, be the reason someone smiles. Invest in your unique gifts. Give them a way. Be generous with your time, your heart, and your energy, because you know Christmas isn't a date. It comes from the heart. It's a mindset, a heart set. It's choosing to show up fully even when the world feels cold and gray. My friend lived like it's Christmas. When winter drapes its heavy cloak and days stretch long
