About this episode
In the relentless rush of daily life, it's easy to feel like we're sprinting on a treadmill set to max speed, chasing the next goal, the next move, the next achievement—only to end up overwhelmed, exhausted, and stuck in a loop of what we didn't get done. That constant hurry doesn't just steal time; it steals clarity, joy, and the chance to grow something meaningful. What if, instead of rushing, you plant your patience?
What if you slowed down, dug deep, and gave yourself the permission to nurture progress with care—not speed?

The truth is simple but often ignored: anything worth having or becoming takes time. Success. Mastery. Healing. Connection. All these start as small seeds—fragile and tentative. They need watering, sunlight, and time to sprout and grow strong.
Life gets confusing when we let the chaos of busyness control us. The tangled mess we often find ourselves in is rarely due to external forces but rather to our letting impatience lead, pushing us into frantic motion that scatters our focus and energy.
Here's a new perspective: patience is not passive waiting. It's an active, powerful choice to nurture your goals thoughtfully, to respect the natural pace of growth, and to stay present in the process instead of racing toward the finish line.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Plant your patience!
Ready to grow your patience and watch your progress blossom? Start with these three things:
-
Plant Belief as Your Seed
Every change begins with belief—the conviction that what you want is possible and worth the time it takes. Without this foundation, patience feels like a frustrating wait. With belief, it becomes a hopeful planting, a promise to yourself that you're investing in your future. -
Nourish with Consistent Action, Not Instant Results
Patience isn't about sitting still; it's about steady, deliberate care. Small, purposeful steps compound over time to produce growth. Celebrate the daily efforts—even when results aren't immediate—to build momentum and faith in the process. -
Create Space to Reflect and Adjust
Growth doesn't happen in chaos. Carve out moments away from distractions to observe your progress, adjust your approach, and quiet the noise of doubt. Mindful reflection refuels patience and keeps your vision grounded.
Remember: patience is a muscle you build with practice, not a fixed trait you either have or don't. The more you cultivate it, the more your progress expands naturally and powerfully.
To honor this journey, here's an original poem by Kristianne Wargo that captures the magic of planting patience and believing in the impossible:
Planting Patience
by Kristianne Wargo
Plant the seed,
though the soil is bare,
though the days feel slow,
though no bloom is there.
Water it with belief,
sunlight of quiet grace,
roots grow beneath—
in their own time and place.
Storms may come,
and winds may bend,
but patience is the promise
that growth has no end.
So slow your hurry,
tend with care,
great things take time—
they blossom where
You dare to plant patience there.
Patience planted is progress made. When you root your actions in belief and nurture them with steady care, the impossible shifts closer to inevitable. It's time to stop rushing. Start planting. Watch your growth surprise you.
"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

1:02Well as you know Wednesday we've changed kind of the focus not exactly but it's well spring Wednesday And it's really talking about how to love your reflection loving your whole self Where you're showing up how you're showing up how to make those choices of course We've got to look at ourselves from a healthy perspective the fitness part the nutrition part But also it's our mindset Where are we allowing our beliefs to come filter in to our thoughts which dictate our actions and in our actions Where do they lead and who is doing all this? Are we doing it? Are we walking in step with God? I mean what is the process? So here on well spring Wednesday We're just going to dive in and it's one of those things where you know What do you do to make life work well? And with spring around the corner. I can't help but think about planting. What about you? You know in the relentless rush of daily life It's easy to feel like we're sprinting on a treadmill set to maximum speed like oh, we got this we got this
2:03Chasing the next goal the next move the next achievement Only to end up overwhelmed Exhausted and stuck in a loop of what didn't get done That constant hurry doesn't just steal time. It steals clarity. It steals our joy It steals the chance to grow something meaningful in our lives It takes away the impact that we have on the world that we touch So what if instead of rushing You plant your patients and I'm not talking about those flowery patients But maybe you could think of it as those beautiful patients that you plant they are gorgeous by the way But it's about your patients your resolve how you approach things What if you slowed down dug deep and gave yourself the permission to nurture progress with care not speed You know the truth is simple, but often ignored anything worth having or becoming takes time success mastery
3:04healing connection all these start as small seeds fragile and tentative They need Watering they need sunlight They need time to sprout and grow strong You know life gets so confusing when we let the chaos of busyness control us and we do The tangled mess we often find ourselves in is rarely due to the external forces But rather to our letting impatience lead Pushing us into frantic motion that scatters our focus and energy Have you ever woken up more tired than when you went to bed? You're like gosh, did I get any sleep? And then reality you fell asleep maybe only woke up one time to go to the bathroom and said Have three times to go to the bathroom, but you're still scratching your head going why do I feel more exhausted Because sometimes we're just always in that hurry scurried mode And we don't know how to step away from it
4:04So let me bring in a new perspective for you patience is not passive weighting It's an active powerful choice to nurture your goals thoughtfully To expect the natural pace of growth And to stay present in the process instead of racing toward the finish line Right, we've got a plant your patience That is your kiss to keep it simple strategy plant your patience now What are you doing at this moment? in your life What does the season feel like? Are you running from one thing to the next? I know for me I kind of am I'm traveling every three to four days And it drives me a little bit crazy, but guess what I know that's the season I'm in And so I have made changes To allow myself to be in that season So I can flourish So yeah even in this kind of craziness of my life knowing I'm traveling every three to four days
5:04I still have to plant my patience I have to figure out okay, what can I do now? What is working? What's not working? What do I need to maybe do more of? Now when you're traveling a lot, what do you think you lose? sleep Why because you're not in your own bed most of the time it's hard It really is and patience well it does help if you get some sleep, right So when you're looking at the season of life that you're in And you're ready to spring forward and you're ready to say you know what I want to do something different in the season It's got to start with your patience And you've got to be able to cultivate what that landscape looks like for you So what does it look like to grow your patience and plan it so your progress can blossom number one Plant belief as your seed
6:04Every change begins with belief the conviction that what you want is possible And worth the time it takes notice the and it's not just it's possible period Right, it's possible and it's worth the time That's where huh. Hello patience comes in, right? So without this foundation patience feels like a frustrating weight But with belief it becomes a hopeful planting a promise to yourself that you're investing in your future And you can take one step at a time that leads to miles of greatness every single day and that one step doesn't mean That you've taken 20 It literally means one step one step And that one step isn't like a dinosaur step It might be that little cute tweety bird And it may be just a baby step. I mean so small
7:04But if you were to take one step every single day and 365 Days you will have taken 365 steps right in your year Don't you think that's going to get you somewhere most definitely So plant belief as your seed and if you're like I don't really know what I believe well then start there Figure out what your season is where do those beliefs filter in If this is a spiritual question for you. Well then you need to dive deeper Into spirituality How God shows up for you If the belief might be gosh, I really need to lose weight because well I just know I need to I'm getting older and I don't need to have this extra weight around my waist So what does that look like? Okay, so that belief is different Is it all about the number on the scale maybe you used to think that when you're in your 20 somethings But now that you're in your 40 and 50 somethings and 60 somethings and 70 somethings
8:05Not number on the scale may not mean the same to you anymore So that belief has changed or if it has it maybe it needs to see where I'm going with this So your belief is the focus of where your season is Because if we were looking at your entire life Holy cow, that's a lot of beliefs. Okay, so get to the core of where you are in your season plant belief as your seed at number two nourish with consistent action not instant results Oh, I don't know why we can't get away from this goldfish syndrome here It's like I see it. I want it. I see it. I want it We go through the drive through I see it. I want it and I don't want it in 10 minutes I don't want to wait for my chicken extra crispy to be cooked for 13 minutes and I can have it fresh It should already be ready when I drive up and so when I go to the second window after I paid at the first window It's ready
9:07Ring a bell Maybe had nothing to do with extra crispy chicken, but we all can relate to wanting something immediately. We see it. We want it But you see patients isn't about sitting still. It's about steady deliberate care It's not about the fast food drive up either It's not about I just got to get this done right now small purposeful steps compound over time to produce growth So celebrate the daily efforts one step at a time leads to miles of greatness I don't care if it's the one step that's like the dinosaur size which it doesn't have to be but there might be times where it is a dinosaur step Right or maybe for some it's an elephant step, but dinosaurs I think would take a much bigger step I'm just saying their stride would be much bigger versus a little bird But you can have a conglomerate of everything in between Celebrate those daily efforts even when results aren't immediate Because they build momentum and faith in the process
10:08Now a lot of times we have to wet it comes to our belief And then we have to go okay now that I'm doing this with consistent action I see it coming and then it builds momentum and over time it's like yes So let's go back to weight All right, you want to see that number move. Well, maybe that number's not going to move as fast as it used to Because your metabolism is different. It's okay. Welcome to aging gracefully Say whoop whoop. It's wonderful. You don't need all these gadgets to tell you what you need to do with your health. You already know And it starts with consistent action believing in who you are and who you are becoming and then taking those little steps and those little pretty steps are just as good Maybe it's about switching out Your vegetables and having more vegetables than you do bread or whatever it is Whatever you're working on maybe it's drinking more water. So it's taking a can of soda now for a bottle of water
11:10And I'm all about saving the world But if you're making that switch by those bottled waters for right now make it an easy grab an easy decision Then you can go and Buy something else that you want to so you know definitely recycle the bottled water You know the bottles of the water come in but make it easy for you right consistent action nourish your Decisions with consistent actions And that's how you build that momentum And where you can have faith in the process of where you're headed who you are and who you are becoming And then finally number three create space to reflect and adjust Okay, notice it's not just a reflect. It's also to make the adjustments needed We got to be flexible and not just in our fitness which is very important as we grow older But we need to have that flexibility that adaptability We need to be able to adjust in real time growth doesn't happen in chaos So carve out moments away from distractions to observe your progress
12:13To adjust your approach and to quiet the noise of doubt If you haven't been listening you're just now kind of catching up go back two days ago Right the power of silence go listen to that one And then go listen to yesterday's come back to center A lot of that is about creating that space to reflect to say you know what it's mindful reflection That's going to refuel my patience and it's going to keep my vision grounded. It's going to keep me in the game of life And there's going to be a lot of things that You're like I'm done. I'm finished And it can be anything that can derail you there's lots of stuff that can Bills right? Oh, let me tell you about bills. All right. I mean all of these things that we have In life it could be our health It could be where we live it could be our career it could be our kids it could be our spouse It could be our colleagues
13:14It could be about retirement Right there's so many things what is it for you Remember patience is a muscle you build with practice It's not a fixed trait you either have or you don't So the more you cultivate it the more your progress expands naturally and powerfully And it allows you to have a greater impact on the world that you touch So to honor this journey. I want you to really think about what it's like in planting patience Plant the seed Though the soil is bare Though the days feel slow Though no bloom is there Water it with belief Sunlight of quiet grace Roots grow beneath in their own time and place Storms may come and winds may bend But patience is the promise that growth has no end So slow your hurry tend with care great things take time they blossom where
14:17You dare to plant patience there Oh my friend patience planted is progress made When you root your actions in belief and nurture them with steady care The impossible shifts closer to the inevitable It's time to stop rushing What if we were to start from a point of rest And you start by saying you know what What's in my heart start planting And watch your own growth surprise you Go in peace be present Be incredible be you I love you so very much.
