1:00You know, Valentine's weekend invites us to think above love, the kind that fills our hearts and shapes our relationships. But far too often, you know, we get stuck in the world's limited view of love. It has to be conditional, transactional, and we have to filter it through our own failures and insecurities. Sounds all too familiar, doesn't it? But God's love breaks every mold. His love is unconditional, relentless, and sees beyond our flaws. And then he calls us to love others the same way. Love on Purpose. Yet, as we know, it's easy to judge others based on our own shortcomings. We carry unhealed wounds, past hurts, and false beliefs about how people should be often measuring love by performance or appearance. But God does not work that way. For Samuel 16 verse 7 says, for the Lord sees not as a man sees, man looks on the outward

2:04appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart. Where do you look? Have you been approached by someone and I'm not talking about romantic love here? This is not what we're talking about, okay? We're talking about unconditional love that serves from a place of grace and mercy. But God has shown us and how he sent his one and only begotten Son to fulfill our failures, right? So that we may have eternity in heaven with him. God loves us fully, quirks, warts, mistakes, all of it, and asks us to do the same for others. Ephesians 4 verse 32 be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you. When we love on Purpose, we love past the surface and beyond judgment. You know, what if, this Valentine's weekend,

3:04we stopped putting conditions on who deserves our love? What if we stopped expecting others to look or act a certain way before we show them kindness? Did you go out and celebrate Valentine's day? Did you go to a restaurant? How did you tip? Did you tip with a heart full of grace, an unconditional kindness that said, you know what? Yeah, it was jam-packed at the restaurant, but you still saw us as your customers. Or were you one of those patronidus that said, yep, no, not interested, I'm going to give you maybe not even 8%. Judge not that you may not be judged. Challenges us, right, to remove those filters and biases. We all have bad days. What if your server was just having a bad day? So take off the mask and see people as God sees

4:05them, beloved, valued, broken, and in need of grace, just as you and I are in need of what God gives us. First Peter, chapter 4 verse 8 says above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. This is a cheap love. It's a deliberate choice to meet others where they are, not where we think they should be, right? I mean, think about this for a minute. How would loving like God change us? I mean, if we actually love like God did, but our lives look a little bit different, but our hearts beat differently? Would we approach situations with a different perspective? When we love unconditionally, our hearts shift, we become more patient, more compassionate, and honestly less reactive. We stop guarding against disappointment and start embracing acceptance. Ephesians 4 verses 31 through 32, yeah,

5:12you've heard part of it, but let me read all of it. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice, be kind to one another. Love on purpose, because my friend, this kind of love transforms your daily interactions. So instead of reacting from a place of frustration or fear, you get to respond with generosity and hope, because God's love has already covered you and me. Now, with it being Valentine's Day weekend, right? We often focus on romantic love, but God's love reaches far wider and deeper than that. It invites us to love on purpose, not only those closest to us, but also the overlooked, the difficult, and the imperfect. John chapter 13 verse 34 says, a new commandment I give to you that you love one another just as I have loved you. You also are

6:18to love one another. Loving like God is the highest calling and the truest gift we can give. How can that change you? What if you were truly to love unconditionally? That colleague that gets on your nerves, that neighbor that just, well, they just got stuff everywhere and it drives you crazy, but well, maybe they just need your smiling face instead in a kind heart. What about the person at the grocery store? The app, the line's long, and self-check out is jam packs. You go through her line and every single time just doesn't look like there's much life in her eyes. How would your unconditional love, loving like God loves change her life and in turn, change yours. My friend, challenge yourself to love without the conditions you normally set. See beyond the mask, show up for the people,

7:20not because they meet your standards, but because God's love compels you. When you love on purpose, you don't just mirror God's heart. You bring His kingdom here on earth in the way you live and love every single day. Go in peace, be present, be incredible, be you. I love you so very much.
