Some move you closer to where you want to be. Others hold you back, even if you don't realize it.
Good habits don't appear overnight. They start as tiny actions that seem almost invisible at first, but over time, they compound.
And the best part? When you lean into small daily wins, those good habits become your foundation.
The bad habits lose their grip, fading into the background like static noise.
This isn't about chasing an impossible, perfect life. It's about crafting YOUR life—step by step—so that light always breaks through, even when the darkness threatens to swallow you whole.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Create your now!
This happens as good habits become great habits, and the bad ones fade into the past. This opens up the possibilities and opportunities where you can always see the light even though darkness looms.
This is not about who you are, but whose you are. There is a bigger picture of who God created you to become.
When you walk in your everyday God's way, life looks and feels different. It's never perfect, but there is always a reflection of hope on the other side.
So, as we begin to look at the wellspring of your life, what can you do to build simple, intentional actions into your everyday?
-
Own Your Morning Start
How you begin your day isn't just how you wake up—it sets the tone for every single thing afterward. Taking 5 minutes to breathe, journal, or study God's Word beats scrolling on your phone first thing. Let all that craziness go. This is your chance to decide how you want to show up: Am I stepping into intentionality, or am I handing it over to distractions? You decide. -
Make One Choice With Purpose
Each hour, ask yourself, "What choice right now moves me forward?" Maybe it's replying to that email, stepping away from distractions to focus, or drinking a glass of water instead of grabbing junk food. These small, purposeful choices build mental muscle. You gain momentum. Your results reflect your intentional actions. -
Reflect and Adjust Nightly
Don't sleep on reflection—it's the secret weapon most miss. Spend a couple of minutes reviewing your day. What worked? What didn't? What will you drop tomorrow? This simple habit keeps you honest and agile. It wins the war on autopilot living and creates space to course correct before mistakes repeat.
Here's what you need to know: You don't have to conquer the world today. But in every moment, you get to decide what you create. That adds up. Good becomes great. The past's shadows fade. And what remains is your light—steady and real. The joy that begins to grow is no longer based on your circumstances. The peace that surpasses all understanding is not because of what you've done.
Create your now every day God's way.
"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

Inspiring Connection, and Community. All right, so are you ready for something spectacular? Not because we're here on the podcast, but in your life. Sometimes we come to our everyday with, ah, right, it's as a ho hum. We don't like how we look in the mirror, we get up, and we've had a disagreement with our spouse, and our kids are driving this crazy, regardless if they're home or away or wherever they are. They have their troubles and bring them to us, and then we've got to deal with the animals, and then we've got our career, and then we've got the community, and then we've got, wait, two do we've got? Yeah, you've got to look in the mirror. Then there's you. And then we realize, shoot. Nobody's perfect. I'm not going to nail everything every single day. And I know that I won't do it perfectly every hour either. But you see, perfection isn't the point here, right?
Intentionality is how you create your now shapes every tomorrow. You're now, the way you choose to spend your minutes and moments, the way you show up every single day, is the wellspring of your entire life. You build your everyday out of small, consistent decisions. Intentionality shows up. And some move you closer to where you want to be, and others hold you back even if you don't realize it. Good habits don't appear overnight. They start as tiny actions that seem almost invisible at first. But over time, they compound. And the best part, when you lean into those small, daily wins, those good habits become your foundation. And then the bad habits lose their grip, fading into the background like static noise. This isn't about chasing an impossible, perfect life. It's about crafting your life.
Step by step, one step at a time, these two miles of greatness, to the point that light always breaks through, even when the darkness threatens to swallow you whole. Oh, my friend, create your nail. That is your kiss to keep itself a strategy. Create your nail. And this happens as good habits become great habits. And the bad ones fade into the past. You know, I sometimes wonder how we get through our everyday. I went to the big box store, had to go shopping, had to get paper products. You might as well get your paper products at the big box store. I mean, that is worth the savings, because you're going to use it regardless, right? You know what I'm talking about, the paper plates, the toilet paper, yeah, everything with the bead, the bead, the bee, right? We've got all of it. And so you go and you're loading up, and I'm loading up, and I'm asking the kids, do you need anything? I'll grab you this, I'll grab you that. Nothing in my vehicle except paper products. I just had to laugh.
And it looked like I was stocking up for a snow storm, but it wasn't a snow storm. It was just my everyday. And I think about how we stack up our own lives in our everyday. Are we going out and buying all the things, getting all the things that we think is going to get us where we want to go? And leaving out what really matters, where God has us going, right? When you look at how you create your now, how you show up, when you say you know what, I don't want my good habits just to be good. I want them to become great, because it opens up the possibilities and opportunities, where you can always see the light even though darkness looms. This isn't about who you are, but who's you are. There is a bigger picture of who God created you to become. And when you walk in your everyday God's way, life looks and feels different. It just does. It's never perfect. But there is always a reflection of hope on the other side.
I mean, imagine this, you could look in the mirror, and even though life is crumbling down around you, whatever that circumstance is, that situation, it could be anything, and it could be my newt. In comparison to some things, maybe that have happened, maybe dealing with a medical diagnosis, versus handling a situation at school with your child. They're not necessarily life and death, but they still can be troublesome on different levels. And it's not saying one's worse than the other, but it's still something you have to deal with, right? And so whatever that circumstance is, whatever that situation is, wouldn't it be amazing that you could look in the mirror every single morning and love your reflection, not because of who you are, but because of who you are? It's the wellspring. And as we begin to look at the wellspring of your life, what can you do to build simple, intentional actions into your everyday? What does that look like? How do you begin your day? Number one, own your morning start.
How you begin your day isn't just how you wake up. How you begin your day sets the tone for every single thing afterward. So maybe taking those five minutes early, getting up even though you're like, I would rather snooze, no, no, no, no, no, don't do that. Get up. Maybe it's your time to stretch, to breathe, to journal, to study God's word. All of that beats scrolling on your phone first thing. I mean, think about it right now. Be honest. I'm looking. I'm high. See you. I can't. And I'm guilty too. We grab our phone and immediately we look at what the notifications. What if God was the first person that you said good morning to every day? What if you looked and read a Bible verse every single morning? First thing, how would that change the way you show up in your own home,
in your marriage, and your relationships at work, in your communication with your kids, when you're cooking the dinner and dealing with the dinner dishes and dogs? I mean, there, it's crazy, isn't it? But it doesn't have to be if you do it with God. Let all that craziness go, the scrolling on your phone, seeing the notifications that can wait. You don't have to look and see what's on the latest and breaking news. I'm all about the Olympics. I'm all about supporting and praying for people. But you know what? You got to take care of who you are so you can lead and serve with a full cup. And sometimes we are more serving with a broken heart than we are a full cup. And that doesn't get us very far. This is your chance to decide how you want to show up. Am I stepping into intentionality or am I handing it over to distractions? You decide. Own your morning start.
Number two, make one choice with purpose. Each hour, okay, and if you're at, let's say, 14, 16 hours, that means you get 14 to 16 choices, right? Deliberate choices on purpose choices. What choice right now moves me forward? Maybe it's replying to that email. Maybe you've been kind of dancing with other things like, I really need to get to that, but yeah, I've just been putting it off. Maybe it's stepping away from distractions to focus. Maybe it's drinking a glass of water instead of grabbing junk food. Maybe it's going upstairs in your house and getting on the treadmill for 10 minutes only. Why? Because you're home and you can. Imagine if you did that only twice in a day, that's 20 minutes of exercise. And yet you said you couldn't do anything in the morning. It doesn't have to be in the morning. You're just making one choice with purpose every single hour.
What is it? Maybe it's sending a text to your husband that says, I just wanted you to know, I was thinking about you. I said a little hard emoji. That's it. Send. These small, purposeful choices build mental muscle. It works your brain in the most positive way. You gain momentum. Your heart, whew, your life, right? Feels good. Your results reflect your intentional actions. It's positive. Positively purposeful. And finally, number three, reflect and adjusts nightly. Don't sleep on reflection. It's a secret weapon most myths. Spend a couple of minutes reviewing your day. What worked? What didn't? What do you need to let go? From tomorrow.
What do you need to say no to in other words? The simple habit keeps you honest and agile. It wins the war of this autopilot living and creates space to course correct before mistakes repeat. History repeats itself unless what you learn the lesson and you make a change. That's called transformation. But you've got to see it in order to do it. And if you're not reflecting on it, you have no idea. I was kind of one of those weird kids. Of course, I don't think I was weird. But if you look back, it's like, yeah, maybe you were kind of weird. But I was always this deep thinker. I was one who would stay up late for whatever reason, especially as I got older. I mean, I don't really remember my elementary like when I was going to bed. I mean, I know my mom and dad says time to go to bed and I'd go to bed. But as I got into elementary, oh my goodness, middle school into high school,
there would be times that I wasn't going to bed till 11, 11, 30 at night. I was doing a lot of things, number one, activity. So I would come home and stuff to do my homework. And I would do lots. I was one of those, yeah, overachievers. Call me that I was. I wanted to get A's and then some. I wanted to reflect excellence. And that reflection ended up every single night with me. And I can remember specifically in my canopy bed, I had this white canopy bed. And I would lay there as if the stars were above me, right? And my white canopy part of it. And I would just look up and I would just think and go through my day. How could I have said something different? Was I kind enough here? Did I do something wrong that made them do that? It was all reflection as to what I could do. Not pointing fingers of what everybody else was doing. But the changes I could make.
And sometimes I didn't have answers. Other times it left me like, well, what did I do wrong? That was really unfair. Sometimes I'd fall asleep with a few tears. Other times it was lots of smiles. But regardless, it was about reflecting. Don't lose sight of what you can reflect on. Because there's power in reflection. So my friend, here's what you need to know. You don't have to conquer the world today. But in every moment you get to decide what you create. That adds up. Good becomes great. The past shadows fade. And what remains is your light steady and real. The joy that begins to grow is no longer based on your circumstances. The peace that surpasses all understanding is not because of what you've done. God has you right where you are right now.
You being able to look at yourself and love your reflection and knowing who you are and yet who you are becoming. You get to create your now every day. God's way. Go in peace. Be present. Be incredible. Be you. I love you so very much. I cannot wait to see you on the other side. Blessing's hugs and lots and lots of love. We'll talk to you real soon. Have a glorious blessed day.
