About this episode
The final quarter of any game is the ultimate test—the moment when hope and pressure collide. The scoreboard might look grim, and it's tempting to feel worn down or defeated. But true faith pushes past what our eyes see and clings to what God's Word promises. Faith is that quiet, persistent voice inside that says, "The game isn't over yet."
When life overwhelms or uncertainty creeps in, anchoring yourself in belief brings endurance and courage.

Romans 12:12 says, "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
This verse reminds us that faith is not passive—it's active trust even when the outcome isn't clear. Today, renew your faith as the ultimate comeback play.
Faith requires full surrender.
Ask yourself: Where are you holding too tightly? Proverbs 3:5-6 commands, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths."
The K.I.S.S. ~ Faith in the fourth quarter!
What would happen if you opened your hands and let God take control? The peace described in Philippians 4:7 might just flood your heart: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Too often, we clutch life through control—our plans, outcomes, and timing. But God's invitation is clear: "You do not need to carry this alone." Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Walking by faith means stepping into the water where God holds you up (Isaiah 43:2). That's where peace lives, beyond circumstances or scores.
So, what would your Super Bowl life look like if you truly gave it to God? When you surrender control and trust His plan, you're always on the winning team.
Romans 8:28 promises, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Even when things don't go as you expect, God's got you.
In the fourth quarter of your story, faith refuses defeat. It fuels a fierce resilience and a confident hope.
The game isn't over yet—because God holds the final play, and with Him, victory is always within reach.
"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

I've been enjoying time with my family and enjoying time with, you know, watching the Olympics. I love sports, I love the competition. Sometimes I think we look at our life as just that. It's a competition. But you see here in the final quarter of any game. It's the ultimate test, isn't it? The moment when hope and pressure collide. The scoreboard might look grim, and it's tempting to feel worn down or defeated. But true faith pushes past what our eyes see and clings to what God's word promises. Faith is that quiet, persistent voice inside that says, the game isn't over yet. Have you been needing to hear that whisper, the game isn't over yet? You're still in this. When life overwhelms uncertainty creeps in and it does. Sometimes you feel like maybe too often I've been in those seasons. Anchoring yourself in belief brings endurance and courage. Romans 12 verse 12 says, be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
This verse reminds us that faith is not passive. It's active trust. It goes beyond what we see, right? Even when the outcome isn't clear. So today maybe you need to renew your faith as the ultimate comeback play. And when you do, you've got to know also that faith requires full surrender. It's not just about on your terms. Faith isn't defined by you. It's defined by God. And I think we try to kind of put our earthly stamp. Our earthly definition is to what God requests of us. See, it is free will. It's a free choice. And that's where faith comes in. It's a free choice to have faith, to walk by faith, not by sight. Faith requires full surrender. Let me ask yourself this, where are you holding too tightly? Where are your fists almost beginning to cramp up because you're holding things so close, so tight? Have you ever held your fists so tight that you leave finger?
Now marks in your palms. Try it right now. Squeeze harder and harder and harder and harder and harder. I even have blisters in it hurts. And I'm still doing it harder and harder. Now stop. Hold it there. One, two, three. Now stop and just release it. I mean, you just feel an automatic shoulders down. Eyes a little bit more wide open. Proverbs 3 verses 5 through 6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean on on your own understanding and all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. It's not about you. It's about Him, His presence, your surrender. Have you ever thought about faith in the fourth quarter? Fourth quarter can mean anything, right? It's when you feel like you're at your wit's end. You're, I just don't know if I could do it. So what would happen if you opened up your hands? And let God take control.
Philippians 4 verse 7 might be something that just fills your heart and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Too often we clutch life through control, don't we? We try to control through plans, outcomes and timing. And that control goes from beginning to the end, right? You have family planning. I'm sitting not saying there's anything wrong with that. I'm just making statements here, okay? But we plan from literally the very, very beginning all the way to the end, thinking that we got this. But what if you don't? Well, I'm here to tell you that you don't because God does. You don't need to carry this alone. Jesus said in Matthew 1128, come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.
It's not about your strength, it's about his. It's not about you having all the answers, it's about him. Walking by faith means stepping into the water where God holds you up. That's where peace lives, beyond circumstances, beyond the scores. I know you want your teams to win, I get it. But there's something bigger, the super bowl of life, the game of life. Where are you playing? Are you on the wrong team? Seriously. And I'm not saying the Seattle Seahawks or the New England Patriots, right? That's for another episode. We might cover that tomorrow. Stay tuned. But where is your peace right now? Do you even have any? Are you just living in your circumstances, trying to push somebody else's buttons, trying to demand that your life go one way, trying to control when really you just need to let go?
If you could sing the song like my little granddaughter does, let it go. And she just kind of sings, let it, and then she goes, go. And she just has that sweet, innocent voice. What if you could capture that today in your heart that innocence is saying, Lord, you got this, I don't. We all need that childlike innocence. That's how we're supposed to come to Jesus. To come as little children. Don't come as know it all. Because guess what? We don't know it all. So why do we act that way? Why do we presume that we have all the answers because we don't? I don't care if you're Googling. I don't care if you're rocking. I don't care if you're J.J.P. or whatever it is that you're doing on AI even. None of them have all the answers. I don't care what it is. It could be the brightest of all brightest minds.
And no one will know what God knows. So why do we live that we already know? So let me ask you this. What would your super bowl life look like if you truly gave it to God? Now I know you're thinking, okay, Kristian, that's a big question. I know it is. That's why I'm asking it. It's because you can't get to eternity without knowing where you are now and where you're going. Because what if you're on the wrong path? I'm just saying. God wants to be here for you. But you've got to let him. He's not going to bulldoze you over and say, this is my time to shine. He would like to. But he says, nope, nope. I gave you free will. I gave you a choice. It's your option. Now, of course, I'm not saying we just sit back and do nothing.
We do have to discern what's happening. And we have to make decisions along the way, right? But we also know that when you surrender control and trust this plan, you're always on the winning team. Romans 8, 28 promises that. And we know that in all things, God worked for the good of those who love Him who have been called according to His purpose. It works out in the end. That doesn't mean we get the results we want. Doesn't say that. Read it again. Listen to it again. But He says, I'm going to work it all out for you. For the good of those who love Him who have been called according to His purpose. Even when things don't go as you expect, God's got you. It's not about you having all the answers. It's not about you knowing what to do next. Maybe it's knowing to let go. Maybe it's knowing to surrender. Maybe it's knowing to walk by faith and not by sight. Because in the fourth quarter of your story, faith refuses defeat.
It feels a fierce resilience and a confident hope. Not hoping things passed or future, but in His presence. The game isn't over yet because God holds the final play. And with Him, my friend, victory is always within reach. Go in peace. Be present. Be incredible. Be you. I love you so very much. I cannot wait to see you on the other side.
