About this episode
It's easy to hide behind a mask — the carefully crafted image of who you think you should be or what you don't want anyone to see. Behind this disguise, you might feel safer, less vulnerable. But you cannot move forward or live the life you were meant to live with God's divine purpose in mind if you're trapped behind that mask. So, put down your mask.
Please put down your mask.

Be bold enough to show up with your flaws, your imperfections, your raw and real self. You don't have to be perfect to create a beautiful life. Perfection is a mirage that keeps you stuck. Real progress comes when you shed the fear of judgment and embrace your authentic story.
Put down your mask.
Be honest with yourself and in your view of life. Stop wrestling your reality into something it's not. Your circumstances — hard as they may be — don't define your worth or your destiny. You are not your struggles, your failures, or your fears. Acknowledge them as part of your path without letting them box you in.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Put down your mask!
Be compassionate with yourself. You will stumble. You will make mistakes. That's part of being human. Grant yourself the grace you easily offer to others. Don't hold yourself to impossible standards. Growth requires patience, and forgiveness fuels resilience.
Be you. Not a version edited for approval or acceptance, but the real you — imperfect, evolving, courageous. Allow yourself to become who you're meant to be, step by step, day by day.
"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo
So put down your mask. Take that step. Live your truth. The life waiting for you on the other side is far richer than any façade could ever be.
Put Down Your Mask
by Kristianne Wargo
Behind the glass of polished grace,
A shadow hides, a quiet place.
But masks, no matter how they shine,
Can never mirror your true spine.
You've held them up to shield the pain,
To hide the loss, to numb the strain.
But here's the truth you need to hear—
The light inside grows strong and clear.
So shed the weight of perfect guise,
Let honesty unbind your eyes.
Your scars, your doubts, your fragile parts,
Are just the maps to your brave heart.
Be bold enough to stand, unmasked,
To speak your truth, to own what's past.
Compassion's not just for the world—
Gift it yourself, let grace unfurl.
Step by step, the journey's made,
Not by rushing, nor by shade.
One foot forward, small and sure,
Leads to a life that's rich and pure.
So put down your hard, guarded face,
And live in freedom, love, and grace.
For who you are, becoming true,
The world is waiting just for you.
"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

The show that help you do just that. Here's your host, Certified Life Coach, Personal Trainer, and Nutritionist, Christian Wardo. Happy happy day, I hope you're having a fabulous week. I cannot believe that we're already into inspiration motivation day. It is your Tuesday. I hope you're safe and warm. I hope that the weather is treating you well. I know for us it's a little bit dicey still. We're kind of in the frozen tundra down here in the south, but we will get out of it. So let's put a smile on our face and join our heart. Put down your mask. For those of you who are brand new to create your now, welcome to this incredible family. I'm so delighted of your presence. If you already haven't had the opportunity, you'll want to head on over to creaturenow.com, where you can learn more and design it for the Kiss of Newsletter.
1:00They keep it simple strategy, everyday solutions, to live, love, and impact. Well, as you know, we go live every week on Tuesdays, on pray, and so go to pray.com. You can watch the episodes there. We've got some new ones coming up. We've kind of taken a little bit of a break, so we've got our holiday specials happening right now, but you will see some new ones here as we move back into the fruit of the spirit. I think it's one of those things where we all need kind of a break sometimes, and I record the videos. I edit the videos right. It's doing it all right here, and so I sometimes have to take a deep breath, and but I'm very grateful. Thank you so much for supporting us and for showing up, because I'm here because of you. It's not because of me. I could be doing lots of things, but God has called me right here right now for this moment to help you create your now, to walk with him in your every day. God's way, right? And ultimately, I believe we're doing that. So you can go over to pray.com today, Tuesday at 11.30 a.m.
2:05Eastern 10.30 a.m. Central and 8.30 a.m. Pacific. Also, we have all of the full, you know, you can watch the videos on demand, and we're working on getting our website up. In fact, I've been doing some writing in regards to that. I'm working on my book. There's lots of things happening behind the scenes. And I know for you, that's what's happening, too. You have a lot of things happening behind the scenes, and it's like, you know, what? If people only knew what was happening, and the privacy of my own four walls, what I do with my career, how I'm racing my kids, if everybody knew the nitty-gritty details. I'm here to remind you, not everybody has to know, but I'm also here to remind you that God does know. He sees you. He hears you. And I know at times when life is hard, we tend to cry out, Lord, have you forgotten me? And then when we have those moments, I believe, to protect ourselves, we mask up.
3:06We put on a facade, because it's easy to hide behind a mask. That carefully created image of who we think we need to be or should be as we show up. Or what you don't want anyone else to see, right? We want to hide. And behind this disguise, you might feel safer, less vulnerable. But my friends, you cannot move forward or live the life you were meant to live with God's divine purpose. In mind, if you're strapped and trapped behind that mask. So put down the mask. Please, please put down the mask. Be bold enough to show up with your flaws, your imperfections, your raw and real self. Today, I'm not editing this video, or video, oh my goodness, see? I'm going to leave this in. It's all audio right now. We are going to start doing, though, video podcast episodes. So you can look forward to that. But one step at a time, these smiles of greatness, I have a huge to-do list. And so, yeah, we're going to be bold, but we have to go little steps at a time, right? So be bold.
4:07It's okay if you have flaws. So do I. Show up with your imperfections. Show up with your raw and real self. You don't have to be perfect to create a beautiful life. Perfection is a mirage that keeps you stuck. Don't chase it. It's not fun. It's debilitating. Real progress comes when you shed the fear of judgment and embrace your authentic story. Put down your mask. Be honest with yourself. And in your view of life, stop wrestling your reality into something it's not. Your circumstances, hard as they may be. Your circumstances don't define your worth or your destiny. What God has in store for you. It doesn't define you. It may feel that way in the moment. I get it. But take a deep breath. This too shall pass. You're not your struggles. You're definitely not your failures.
5:07Or your fears. Acknowledge them as part of your path, right? It's part of the journey. Without letting them box you in. Put down your mask. Oh, my friend, be compassionate with yourself. Because you're going to stumble. You're going to make mistakes. I've done it. I've done it here on this episode. That's why I'm not editing it out. That's part of being human. Grant yourself the grace you easily offer to others. Why is it that we can be so kind to somebody else? But when we look in the mirror, we are mean. We bully ourselves. Let me tell you that changes our hearts. So grant yourself the grace that you have been given by your heavenly Father. Don't hold yourself to impossible standards. Growth requires patience. And forgiveness feels resilience. In order for you to move on, be compassionate.
6:08Forgive. Let God. And my friend be you. Not a version edited for approval or acceptance. But the real you imperfect, evolving, courageous. Allow yourself to become who you are meant to be. Step by step day by day. One step at a time leads to miles of greatness. You know who you are. But also learn to know who you are becoming. It's a beautiful journey. One that when you do look back, you're going to be like, oh, my goodness, look how far I've come. If you're a mom, go back to the time when you weren't a mom. What did life look like then? How did you even look at children? When you saw a mom wrestling with their child in the stores, their screaming having a meltdown, how do you see that now?
7:09Now, we all change. Life shapes us. But God directs your heart if you let him. So put down your mask. Take that step. Live your truth. The life waiting for you on the other side is far richer than any facade could ever be. You don't need to dress up for the masquerade ball every day. It's exhausting. Sometimes it's infuriating. It's disappointing. And if you're one who says, I got to get dressed up again. Think again, put down your mask. Behind the glass of polished grace, a shadow hides a quiet place. But masks, no matter how they shine, can never mirror your true spine. You've held them up to shield the pain, to hide the loss, to numb the strain. But here's the truth you need to hear, the light inside grows strong and clear.
8:13So shed the weight of perfect guys. Let honesty unbind your eyes, your scars, your doubts, your fragile parts, are just the maps to your brave heart. Be bold enough to stand unmasked, to speak your truth to own what's to pass. Compassions not just for the world, gift it yourself, let grace unfurl. Step by step, the journey's made, not by rushing, nor by shade. One foot forward, small and sure, leads to a life that's rich and pure. So put down your heart, guarded face, and live in freedom, love, and grace. For who you are becoming true, the world is waiting just for you. Go in peace, be present, be incredible, be you. I love you so very much, I cannot wait to see you on the other side, blessing tags and lots and lots of love. We'll talk to you real soon. Have a glorious blessed day.
