It's a call to show up with presence, grace, and fierce faith.
Presence grounds you in the here and now, turning every moment—whether filled with calm or chaos—into a stepping stone toward what's next.
Grace reminds you that you don't have to have it all figured out. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to be willing.
The New Year invites you to quiet reflection, pure clarity, and resilience. It demands determination rooted in a deep knowing that nothing is impossible when God's divine plan is at work. That plan moves through you—but only if you're willing to answer the call.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." ~ Jeremiah 29:11

Happy Happy Day, and Happy New Year! Oh my goodness, I'm so excited. I don't want to like yell and scream because I will blow through this microphone, but I just want you today to have joy in your heart, a smile, and your face knowing that the best is yet to come. All right, so what did you do? What did you do last night?
Did you stay up all night? Or did you say hi's too tired? I went to bed at 10-07. Okay, well, I'm going to tell you my truth. My truth was I sent out a Happy New Year, Eastern time, just in case if I fell asleep. So I sent it out to my entire family. I was like, that's it. Happy New Year, Eastern time. Good luck, I love you all of this. But guess what, I was still up. I was like, yeah, nope, I'm going to stay up. I ended up staying up and joined some repeat football and did you watch some of the playoffs? You know, for the CFP, I mean, come on. It was such a good game. Did you know Ohio State got beat? I know you're thinking, Christian, this is supposed to be a new year. And now you're telling me my team lost. Yeah, I am. Miami beat them. They just did. And it was a fabulous game. But you know, I think sometimes we need a renewing, a refreshment of where we are. Because otherwise we just fall into the same thing. And I think that's what's so amazing about the new year.
It's like, well, wait, pause. Oh, what's going to happen? Because the first day of a new year holds something so rare. A stillness amid all the noise. A quiet space where hope and possibility stretch out like an open road. It's a day wrapped in excitement, but tinged with a little uncertainty. The unknowns can flip the script and spin your stomach and test your courage all at the same time. But here's the beautiful and shakeable truth that I want you to carry with you today. The best is yet to come. Now, I know you might be thinking, I gosh, darn it, Christian, I hear this phrase. A ton, people just say, oh, the best is yet to come. But it's not just a feel good phrase. It's not. It's a call to show up with presence, grace, and fierce faith. You see, presence grounds you in the here and now, turning every moment whether filled with calm or chaos into a stepping stone towards what's next.
Grace reminds you that you don't have to have it all figured out. And most definitely, you don't have to be perfect. You just have to be willing, having a willing, open heart. The new year invites you to quiet reflection. Pure clarity and resilience. It demands determination rooted in a deep knowing that nothing is impossible when God's divine plan is at work. And that plan moves through you, but only if you're willing to answer the call. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29-11. May be that is the best that you need to hold on to. Knowing that God declared this and said, I have plans for you, plans to prosper you. And maybe you're thinking, have you seen my bank account?
Again, it's not about necessarily the money in your bank account. It can be. But you can have favor that just isn't shown because of your income. And so I want to encourage you today, look beyond what you know. Did you hear me? Look beyond what you know because if you're stuck in what you know, you're not open to what's possible. But if you are open to it, if you want God to lead your steps, this means showing up daily, putting in the time, doing the work you were created for because my friends, you were created for more. The breakthroughs, the progress, the miracles, the blessings, they're waiting on the other side of your commitment. God requires us to step forward. Just step forward in faith. He will not just do it by himself. He calls us to do it. But I want to caution you for a moment. Don't rest just yet. Rest now.
Today, rejuvenate. Let your soul catch its breath. Today, at this precise moment, marks the beginning of the trip of a lifetime, one that leads to all the things that matter most. So take this day as a gift. Lean into the presence you carry. Let grace guide your steps forward. Your best isn't behind you. It's proudly standing just ahead, ready for you to claim it. One step at a time leads to miles of greatness. Your miles marked with your name at this specific moment in time. So maybe you're wondering, this all sounds great, Christy Ann, but you have no idea where I'm coming from. You don't know what I've been through. You're right. I don't have all the details. But I'm here to remind you that God does. And I don't want to say this slightly, but I pray for you every single day.
Whether you're a believer or not, I know God hears those prayers. And so look at this year. Look at it differently. Take off your lenses. Stop always looking backwards. Begin a renewing of your mind. Making choices that don't matter to you here on earth, but matter to your heavenly purpose. What God has in store for you. And that doesn't mean I'm not telling you to go quick your job because you don't like it. I'm not saying that, okay? That's not a good idea. But if you are doing things prayerfully and discerning what God has in store for you, let me tell you, he will not fail you. He will not. And I think a lot of times we put God in a box saying, you have to perform for me this way. You need to show up this way. That's not how God works.
But let me tell you, he never leaves your side. Even if he answers a prayer differently than what you think he should. You know, you've heard the saying, right? Mama knows best. I'm here to tell you, God knows best. And maybe this year you look at life a little differently. Maybe you take a step back and say, you know, what is it? How can I live with the fruit of the spirit? Knowing that I've accepted Jesus Christ into my heart. And I want him to be the leader of my life. And I don't know what that exactly means, but I'm willing to take one step at a time that I know will lead me to miles of greatness. And that doesn't mean that you'll turn over tomorrow morning and you'll have everything you want right in front of you. Those miles of greatness may take decades. But guess what? God will be right there with you. So today it is a day. It's a gift. Let us rejoice in this day.
Be present in where you're going. Be present in who you speak with. Listen with an open heart and an open mind. Be careful what you let your eyes and your ears see in here. And also remember that God loves you unconditionally. And honestly, so do I. This year doesn't have to be one where you just kind of kick to the curb, going, one more day down, 364 left to go. One more day down, 363 more to go. You're not doing that county and how many beers are sitting up there on the wall or however that goes, right? It's an old song. No, instead you're saying how many hearts can I touch today? Because let me tell you, when you're created for more, that means you were created to impact the world that you touch in your special and unique way, that only you can do.
That's what's so magnificent. So look forward to this new year. The best is yet to come. For my family to yours, have a healthy, blessed and prosperous new year. Go in peace, be present, be incredible, be you. I love you so very much, I cannot wait to see you on the other side. Blessing tags and lots and lots of love. Hey, we'll talk to you real soon.
