Today's saint is Saint Collette. Saint Collette, who lived from 1381 to 1447, was born in Piccadie France, the daughter of a poor carpenter who served the local Benedictine Abbey. Her parents conceived her in their old age after praying to Saint Nicholas for a child, naming Collette after him. She became well-known for her faith in spiritual wisdom from her young age. After the death of her parents, she joined the third order of Saint Francis and became a hermit. She led a life of asceticism and solitude until a dream revealed that God willed her to reform the poor clairs. She obeyed, joined the poor clairs in 1406. Hermitian Reformation was sanctioned by Benedict XIII of Avignon, who was an anti-pobe and he appointed her superior at each of the convents she reformed. Despite resistance from within the poor clairs, she successfully reformed several existing

1:02condoms and founded 17 new ones dedicated to a stricter absurdance of the poor clairs, known as the Call of Teens. She experienced visions and ecstacies of Christ's passion and even prophesied her own death. Through her life's work, Saint Collette's Reformation breathed new life into the poor clairs and created a lasting model of spirituality. Saint Collette's feast day is March 6th.
