03That's the home of John Wayne Airport. Okay. Southern California. Yeah, this is scary. A Black Hawk helicopter crossed right into the flight path of the United Airlines flight coming in for Atlantic and Orange County John Wayne Airport. The close call happened between a United Boeing 737 with 168 passengers. They don't call themselves in this account here. Even board, military, Black Hawk, that flight data took off from the joint forces training in Los Alamedos on Tuesday evening, United 589. She's like, the things are going to crap in the States, I wonder why. The incident is the latest to raise questions about how to keep everybody safe, right? Want to clarify here, did you just get a traffic call reference to a helicopter or did they restrict your altitude or anything in air traffic controller, asked of the pilot of the United aircraft on radio traffic? Yeah, we had a resolution advisory. So apparently the helicopter was the closest they came, 500 feet vertically and 1400 feet
06horizontally. So he was just above them at a little off and that's too close for comfort. Yeah. That's scary crap. It's just happening more and more often, the level of incompetence. Yep. In the government and also, you know, and it's filtering down and all the other stuff, obviously, it's brutal. One thing you, well, if you want to feel smart at a certain point, you start to become dumb. I've often mentioned dumbest people in the world populate the comment section on Facebook of local news outlets, but if you look at the comments, and I didn't know this tell a couple of months ago when you scroll down in the New York Post, anything that might lean just a little political. And of course you can make political out of this one, but man, man, there are some dummies and some of them I think are just plants or just trolls. Yeah. I think there's a lot of bots out there from the right bots, so you get to remember those too. But because if George Soros can pay protesters, I would think that Rupert Murdoch could
09pay for some trolls, yeah, to get into the comment section of the newspaper that he owns. I don't think many of those trolls are even local. Oh, no, they're probably based in Russia. Yeah. Well, I'll tell you how much I'm going to get paid tomorrow. I'm going to go to no Kings rally and how much is George Soros paying you? I'm probably getting the, I think the check is like 160 after taxes. Not too bad. Oh, I would have guessed a little bit more. I thought so too. I thought so too. That's why I signed up, but I am actually going to do a no Kings rally tomorrow. And that's in Harrisburg and Harrisburg, yeah, the capital. Well, springsteens all over the world, too, by the way, springsteen boy, boy, oh, my God. These people that hate the boss right now are hilarious because he's been a political outspoken political rock star for over 50 years. No nooks. Uh, just if you had anything about him at all, you know, he's always been a lot of people outspoken lefty. And you should see the people because this tour, this mini tour, he's got going on right
12now. He says it's political. This is it. This is it. No Kings. I'm going out. Six weeks. We're doing this. But years ago, people's antenna weren't really up now, they've kind of gotten into politics. So you know, everything is political, but there's some old people on this is political. He said he's saying it certainly it is, but it's always been, but he's always been political. But nobody seemed to mind until recently. Yeah, we know why. I mean, there's plenty of people that are political and outspoken on the other side. And that's the way it should work. And they're allowed to talk. Right. Uh, yeah, I like to boss now. What? What? If you listen to his music and heard his message for years, you don't like it. Whatever. Um, this is don't say my name. An ex-girlfriend with a domestic violence charge from a previous relationship. She swore it was in self-defense or something, but two years later, during an argument when she starts to hit me, I said to her, do you hit all your boyfriends or just the ones
12that caught you being a cheating whore? And then they got a few more smacks to the face. Dude, I'm gonna say your name, uh, but you're listening live, obviously. How long did that relationship last after that? And, and you know, good for me. He caught her being a cheating whore and she, she kept hitting them. Good for him because he knew that that comment was going to get him a few more smacks. Yeah, but he went toward anyway. Yep. You know? A couple more smacks. Oh, yeah. Against his better judgment. What? That's hitting me again. I put some and put some stank on it. She probably did put some stank on it. So how long much longer that relationship last, hope I just ended that night, but you never know. Yeah. Yeah. There was a text here too. I hit you because I love you. Somebody said 15 year old son, 17 year old daughter got into a fight. He broke her nose. My wife and I took her to the urgent care. I waited in the lobby while my wife and daughter went in with a doctor. I was taking much longer than it should have. Then the police walked in.
13He walked past me and into the back, came out a few minutes, walked out, said to tell the kids are getting a little bit old to be doing that at their ages. It can easily turn into a criminal situation. Oh, yeah. That's borderline. I love the fact that the dad had to say, hey, it wasn't me. It was him. Well, it sounds like they didn't want to his son, right? It sounds like they didn't even suspect dad. So they must have bought the story in the back. This is up because she just tuned in. The Todd's wife fell and she's going to have two black eyes and we, you know, and we were talking about how they always ask people, and I had nothing to do with it. No, you didn't know. I was just eating my soup. No. But sure, we guess, bitch. She would be able to dress up, you know, I was eating my soup. Yeah, you don't get beat up by a guy who's eating his soup. No. No. Is that where we can check off these emails like you, you've already read that again? Were you about to read that? Come on. I just did. No, I wasn't. I hope you would. And on a streak, if I reread an email, it's not going to be a forced issue.
13No, it's going to happen organically, right? Let's hope so. You know what they say. Early bird gets the ultimate vacation home. Work early and save over $120 with Burbo. Because early gets you closer to the action, whether it's waves lapping at the shore, or snoozing in a hammock that overlooks, well, whatever you wanted to. So you can all enjoy the payoff come summer with Burbo's early booking deals. Rise and shine. With savings $141, select homes only. With this story, you might do the day too. I think Nick sent it back to us. Let me get this quick here. Oh, I forgot the Nick day in history. OK. I mentioned that March 27th, 1984, what happened? Oh, so you said it's for Nick? It's on mask. On mask. This might be something that Nick would be more inclined to know. No, it's not got nothing to do with rock and roll.
16OK. People to do with pop culture, but it's more of the food side. I might be giving it away with the food side, the whopper. Happy meal. Something to do with a half. No, no, no. You're close. The big Mac. No. That's been around for a long time. Yeah. So it's a whopper. What am I thinking? I need to whopper's a big Macs in high school. So the company that invented hot pockets receives a hot pocket trademark for the gooey stuff sandwich like ham and cheese and pepperoni pizza. We used to do this on the show all the time. Apparently hot pockets were in the stores the year before, but they finally got the registered trademark on this date in 1984. I don't remember the last time I've had a hot pocket, but they still exist, don't they? Oh, hell yeah. Yeah. I'd say college probably was the last time I had a hot pocket because they didn't the inside was molten. Oh, yeah. You had to be careful. You had to cut them open and let them sit for five minutes before you eat it. This might disturb some people, but the iconic American sandwich was actually invented
19by Paul and David Mirage, Jewish, Iranian brothers who immigrated to America from Toronto in the 1960s. So they can show it. Which sandwich? The hot pocket. Oh, cool. Yeah. They're calling it a sandwich. Yeah. Yeah. It is bread around something. It's a sandwich. It shows hot dog. Yeah. They're calling it a filling stuffed sandwich. Hmm. Micah. I think it was one of like the first microwave sandwiches. I don't know what I thought it was, but I never thought of it as a sandwich because I was good. It's good. It's good. Yeah. They're good. That went a long time either. We've stayed on the show all the time. We just haven't just been. Or when somebody puts something in a pita. Do you consider that a sandwich? I don't know. I guess I read. I read. Bread around something as a sandwich. Yeah. I'll call it a sandwich. I call it a pita. Because the pita is sometimes shaped like a pocket. Yeah. But it's all enclosed. And I think that's where my mind says, oh, that's not a sandwich. It has to be two separate pieces. Yeah. I don't know. I can say, I don't know what I thought it was, but I've never thought of a hot pocket as a sandwich.
20Well, you could make an argument for the hot dog not being a sandwich because those pieces are better. Kind of attached. Yeah. They're attached to the hinge. Well, you could actually, I set you a picture of that vape sandwich between the girls cans. Check it out. Yeah. I got the photo. Yeah. I mean, I told you they were huge. I told you that's which keeps your vape. So. It's great. Great picture. I should share that. But the poor girls are down to make her famous, you know, they mentioned Jim Gaffigan. Yeah. Gaffigan made a great pit on that for sure. The center of his comedy routines. Well, I don't remember one big one. Yeah. Rapper and actor Snoop Dogg started two music videos about hot pockets. Pocket like it's hot, a parody of his popular drop it like it's hot and a surreal music video featuring hot pocket mascot, Supermodel Kate Upton and rapper bow wow, wow, that goes to the tune of Bismarck. He's just great. Well, isn't that wow, wow, wow, was he just, was he, no, no, it's just bow, wow, I was
23just, wow, wow, wow, there's a different group. Yeah. And he used to be little bow, wow, wow. Right. And then he dropped the bow, wow, wow, was I one candy right from the 1980s, right? 80s, right? It was a remake of a 1960s song. Right. So this is just bow and one while. I forgot about that one, bow, wow, wow, was piss when he needed himself, bow, wow, yeah. Hmm. Yeah. See, if you, if you look at the actual definition of sandwich, it says an item of food consisting of two pieces of bread with meat, cheese or other filling in between them eaten as a light meal. It doesn't say they can't seal the sides though. But then is, but the, but if they're sealed, then they're not separate and that's not two. There's an argument that that's just one piece of bread. Yeah. The hot dog and some, a lot of us have got hot dogs as kids and the buns separated in the package. Yeah. I hate that. Yeah. I know, but that, that's the sandwich then sometimes if the hot dog and then, you know, the ingredients that go with the hot dog are big enough, it becomes two pieces of bread. Yeah. Yes. Because you have to separate.
23Right. There you go. So yeah, I, I don't really care actually what you call it, but it's a hot dog. Yeah. I think a hot dog is its own thing, you know, it's its own whole classification. And again, I don't know what I thought hot pockets were. They're, they're excellent. Now I want one. Now I want one. Nick, would I eat one for sure this morning? We used to get them delivered to the studio and just eat them. I like the ones, remember the ones with just cheese and broccoli? Yeah. Those cheese and broccoli and those things, you wouldn't think of broccoli being inside a sandwich like that, but they knew what they were doing. Those guys keep the patent and make a ton of money off of it. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Pepperoni pizza, fillet steak, cheese, ham and cheddar, meatballs and mozzarella, four cheese pizza. They got a ton of these things, man. For the calories, each one of those. Oh, God. Do you really want to know? Yeah, I do. Yeah. That's probably terrible. What's the calorie in one hot pocket? At least the, give me the, that the fillet would ever, the one shall like a pepperoni one. Uh, between 240 and 340 calories per.
26That's actually not that bad. Yeah. No, I expected more. I did too. I did too. I'll be that reasonable. I'll fire one up today. I don't have any on the house. So quickly. Also, quickly, while we're on the history page, it was on this date in, uh, 1939. The first ever NCAA men's basketball tournament known as March Madness. Do you know who won it? Well, if you don't, I don't know who won it. And again, Naysmith University. No, but here's a deal with that, Todd. Back in the day, the NIT was the bigger tournament. Right. NIT was the more important tournament for years before the NCAA took it over. And then the NIT still exists. And it's a lesser tournament. Right. But the University of Oregon beat Ohio State by a whopping 46 to 33 on this date in 1939 for the first NCAA men's basketball tournament. I saw a brutal stat yesterday after Iowa won that game. Sorry, Husker fans. I didn't give you. You're not your Iowa brother. And I know they're fighting it out. I'm just kind of just jabbing each other.
28You're just instigating. Of course I am. But the stat... I didn't make the stat up. But it's a stat. It goes... Nebraska's wins in the NCAA in the past 82 years, two. Two. Two. I was wins this year in the NCAA, three. Three. Yeah. This is why I was rooting for the Huskers last night because Iowa, you word, you stuck up. You had plenty of good basketball history and it would be nice to see some new blood in there. And plus you know Iowa fans mistreated me at a football game. Iowa hadn't been to a sweet 16 since like 87. 87. So I'm considering them new blood. Oh, yeah. They're not Iowa. Yeah, but they only... They're not an all... They're not an always there in basketball. I'm old enough to remember Loot Olsen so. I go back to that and they've had their fill. They've had their run. That was... That was a chance. It was 39 years ago. 37... It was 87 exactly. We were talking about it last night. Who are you? I don't even know you anymore. I don't know him.
28All right. Come on back.
