Uh, Randy, not Senate. No, and I would have forgotten. Next, not going to be here. No, I had about tenors show people my Facebook page last night reminded me. And even then I sat down here, I forgot. Well, yeah, that was last night. Right, he's normally not here right now, but he won't be here for the second segment, or the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh. On a road trip with his son, 11, 12th. He's real happy about driving again. Like, I hate driving away, anybody I know. All 12th like it in the car and driving, man. Yeah. But I never thought anybody on the show other than me would be saying, I'm going to North Dakota. And South Dakota. He's doing both then. Oh, God. Yeah. North Dakota. Yeah, he's going to North Dakota. First visit. Uh, who's in North Dakota? Who's in Fargo town there? North Dakota state. Yeah. I think he's going there. What's the other college here? University of North Dakota. In Fargo. Uh, well, there's more head state, which is in more hidden in the center, are now Minnesota state. Now he's going to, he's going to Minnesota state. Okay. That's Minnesota. Minnesota state, right?
Minnesota state. More head. Yeah. He's going there. And then he's going to my original school. I want to South. Yeah. More head. Yeah. I went there for a few years. Then he's going to South Dakota. No degree with his son. Yeah. A few years. No degree. The no degree thing is understood. There's no state. No degree. Speaking of college, Purdue beat Texas last night. Illinois beat Houston. Arizona beat Arkansas and a game called Iowa. A team called Iowa beat Nebraska. Uh, or Nebraska fans. Okay. Today. Who cares? I know. I really didn't watch much because because I, uh, I can't watch. I just can't. I just, I just can't anymore. I, I, I've still on the show. Uh, she's a, she went there, but she's had a big freak about it. And I go, I just can't, I can't watch Oscar stuff. I was out, but I got home. So I turned it back. I was watching the Billy Idol documentary, which I recommend. I watch the whole thing yet. Oh, that's out now. Billy Idol should be dead. It's on Hulu. But I, I was cut. I kept it on. My phone was right there. The score is on the whole time.
She's checking the score, checking the score. It was tight game the whole time. Yeah. Yeah. I know. Oscar's ruptured all time too. It's like, let me give you the sports talk. Oh, I watched the last three minutes. Uh, where they went back. It was the best. Oh. When they came out of the timeout and they only had four guys on the floor. And, uh, you know, the, the one receiver got deep and they hit him in the end. Yeah. Just a, just a lob into the end zone. And then they followed him. Yep. And, yeah, and one. That was the end of the game. That was excellent. Oh, and then the next play that, that, that dude got a pretty, uh, the statement. Oh, yeah, yeah. On that last. That was a, that was a statement. Dunk. Yeah. I was watching crowds. So there's a big place for, uh, for the affiliates other places. Uh, there's a big downtown area in Lincoln, Nebraska. And, uh, there was, and it must have been pretty warm there last night, because it was a place. Oh, and bad. A little windy. Big screen. Wow. That crowd was walking out. Yeah. Like they left the funeral. Yeah. Well, and you Iowa fans can glow because you will and just have some fun because you've got to see it. Uh, people going back and forth there.
I hate Iowa with every fiber of my being. I've seen that a bunch of times. You're all the same people. Yeah. You're all the same people. Just one of you has a better basketball team. And football. No, that was funny. They, what I saw a lot of Husker friends post this. It was kind of funny. Uh, apparently. They were doing really well. And then they showed this picture of role in the crowd. Uh, they did. I saw that. Yeah. Right after that, they went on. They went on like a 16 seven deficit. That was a joke. That was the jinks they're saying. Yeah. They went like five minutes in the second half without scoring like late in the second half. That's. That's not good. Whatever. Basketball is over for me now. I'll watch the finals, obviously. Who do you like, Todd? You like Tennessee, right? They put it there. Yeah. I'm going for Tennessee. You compare prices when shopping for flights, hotels, cars. So why not small business insurance? Just just saw about the people. I don't really hate Iowa. And then the hate was playing Penn State in the hate Iowa. Yeah, because I wore the opposite jersey at an Iowa football game years ago. And they, they were crappy. Yeah. Well, not as bad as a Colorado. Colorado is the worst. And I don't know about. No, no, chiefs are the worst. Okay. Well, we're talking college. I know we are. Yeah. And I've never been to Arizona, Arizona State game in Tucson recently. And I don't think I ever want to. Because how are Arizona fans treated at Arizona State? Oh, not well. Okay. No, Arizona State fans are bad too. Especially if you're the rival. That's not a friendly rivalry. You're talking football now and not basketball. No, no, I'm talking basketball. I'm talking fans in general. Just in general, right? Yeah. And the one that stands out in my head, and this was years ago, was Steve Kerr played for the University of Arizona. Steve Kerr's father was the president of American University in Lebanon. He was assassinated.
Right. And they mocked him for that. Arizona State fans mocked him for that. It is. Jesus. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. I remember that. That's the story. Still a big story. They've kind of set the bar. That's brutal. Yeah. It is. That's the big story. Nick stood out here. There are medical assassinations. Oh, yeah. That was a huge story, push. I remember the story. But like, like, like mocking the other player because his father was assassinated. Your father is dead. Wow. Yep. Wow. Where's your dad? Yeah. Where's your dad? like really? Oh, yeah, it was a kid, man. Really? This is what you're going to make fun of me for. Yeah, that was, yeah, that was a Saturday. I remember that story. And then at some point, he became friends with counting crows. Chad Daniels will be on the studio with us later on the spawning Nick Wolt because Nick's on a road trip with the sun. Speaking of counting crows, and I don't know if this goes national. That document is excellent too.
In Central Pennsylvania, but first national bank of Omaha has adopted the Omaha song. They used to be Omaha song from the counting crows years ago when Tyler and I first got to town, we introduced it to the city council. Hey, make this a, you know, when it came out, well, 93, 94. Yeah, the album was 94. Yeah. And who is the lead singer? Adam Deritz. Adam Deritz, I believe issued a statement that he didn't like that that the song Omaha was a metaphor and wasn't meant to be taken literally. It is a metaphor by being in the middle of nowhere. Well, I love how they use it because it's in the middle of nowhere. Now he gets a paycheck, a huge first national bank of Omaha to run that song during the commercial. So his principles have gone by the wayside somewhere in the last 30 years. Well, maybe that even though in the song anymore, who knows, you know, that that could be. Well, and at the time, Todd, that that that record was huge. They were rolling in cash from the record and tour. And now, and now that, well, you want to give us a big check? Sure. Tyler, maybe we're right. They may have sold the rights of their catalog record.
Oh, no, no. Chad, Daniels, I admit she's going to be here a little later on this morning baseball star. Do you have to save my pirates lost? Yeah. They lost. Did he throw any splinkers? No, he actually got knocked out of the first inning because that's right. Our center fielder. Cruz, his name is he sucks. And he gave up a like a three run error right away. And and schemes was down already, like four nothing or something like that. He didn't last up with a couple of landings, right? One inning. Well, they pulled him after one just because they were already down for for runs. I guess he was again. I didn't really watch the first inning. I came in a little later on. Was living there? You know, it was in it was in New York. So I don't know if she was there. Well, sir, it was in it was at the Met State. They would have trained a camera on her if you were there, right? But now it wouldn't you? I read a great another great headline about baseball. There was a Twitter post somewhere and said already bored with baseball. And I was a baseball fan for years still in. But the fact is I go, yeah, I get it. I've seen about three minutes. I get
it. I'm a part of it. Talking head, touting about baseball sells more tickets, right? I mean, you know why? Because they got teams and they got 162 games. Yeah. I want the Dodgers to run through the league, kick ass again, shut this thing down, get a salary cap and a salary floor. And that's got to happen. So go Dodgers, win it all, go a hundred eight, two, and nothing. That's my second favorite team. Because after that, they're going to shut it down. I'm telling you, I think it's going to be a strike next year because of it. And that's why I want the Dodgers to do that to get the strike and then get the salary cap and the salary floor. I keep reading that the rank and file MLB guys are the ones that are coming around to the idea of a salary cap because they're the ones that aren't making seven hundred million dollars. Exactly. Yeah. The vast majority, guys, all those guys think they're going to make that. That's a problem. And they keep voting with their players. Tyler mentioned something important too. You have to have a floor. Oh, yeah, I said floor. Right. But there's got to be a cap, got to be a cap. That's why the NFL rules.
That's why the NFL rules. Yeah, the NFL has a floor to theirs. There's a minute of them you have to spend. Okay, just to discourage. But there's a, but there's a cap in the NFL. And that makes everybody competitive. Well, and a hard catch because like the, the NBA has a salary cap, but yeah, LL, you can just pay to go over it. Don't do that. Yeah, Friday by the way, Chad and Colleen will be here a little later on this morning. And make sure you watch that Billy Idol should be dead documentary. If you're, I just like rocked everything I've read about it. So he's pretty. It's so good, man. So good goes back to his roots and generation action in Britain. It's a great, great. Is he taking calls? I haven't seen anything. Yeah. Yeah. He's still, he's really still pretty cool, man. He's 70 years old. Yeah. Really? He's 70 years old. Yeah, I suppose that makes sense. But yeah. Yeah, he came up through the mid 70s through, through Britain. So yeah, check it out. If you're big Billy Idol fan like I am. And also I get some other bunch of stories here on the start. Oh, and another sporting thing quickly, Todd, your Vikings are going for the 28 draft. So I
know interest in going to the draft, even when I used to see it in other places, it's just a cluster. And it's the Vikings are already tanking for the 20. No, no, no, they want to host it. They want to host it. You want to host it. It's in Pittsburgh, but I don't, I don't want to drive three hours and watch people. First of all, it's going to be a cluster and just watch people pull names. Yeah. No interest in that. I have no, I get bored watching it on TV, but I have no interest. Didn't Nick go down when they were in Kansas City? Yeah, but not the first day. Oh, yeah, he went down there on Saturday, a Saturday, right? Exactly. Yeah. Many apples. There's a fine town, but the weather could be volatile and late April. April. Yeah. Green Bay. Yeah. Green Bay. It was, it wasn't great in Green Bay last year. I remember it was like, it was kind of rainy and drizzly. All right. So come on back, Chad Daniels, a little bit, you can do the music. That's one of my favorite sitcoms area. It's not great in Green Bay. Exactly. Come on back.
