I think we read off the games earlier, of course, a lot majority of lunch and say majority, but a lot of our listeners are interested in the Nebraska Iowa game. That's a huge thing. That's crazy. They're actually meeting in the sweet 16. Nobody had that one on the brine. Are you nervous, Nick? You're nervous? Or you just want the football team to be good? That's not what I mean. I hope they win the basketball game, but if they lose, will you be upset? No, I'm going to be like, damn, that sucks. Yeah. How's it feel there? How's it feel to have your football team be the third best program at the school, fitting? I don't know. They got a pretty good bowling program, too. I don't know. Nope. I think they're good at rifle, too. Baseball's pretty good to get. Yeah. Baseball's right. Football's not pretty low on the list.

1:00Yeah. Got the biggest stadium. Yeah. You know, first of all, you seem to make much of a difference. No, whatever. You got Mahomes throwing the ball. I saw Mahomes throwing the ball. I did too. You're just pouring yourself into something with a big hole at the bottom and everything goes spilling out everywhere and you're left alone and angry and staring at yourself all over again. I miss him. I miss him so much that everything hurts. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't, I don't want him to disappear. Okay. I need you to know that. I don't, I just, I can't find where to put him. Wow. The movie is called. Yeah. Steve's on and Aubrey's on are the stars and you can see it. Hey. You know what? It's a comedy. I. Welcome to you. You just put that one moment. You are producer, our producer put it out there. You're like, it is a comedy, right?

3:05Okay. It is, it's a comedy that, that deals with a heavy subject of grief and we whisper it in the movie and then, and then eventually it'll come, it sneaks up to you and, and karate drops you in the throat for real, but, but it's a, yeah, it is a comedy. Right. She dances, she dances the name of the movie. Is this autobiographical because Audrey, you're obviously an accomplished dancer. Yeah. No, it's not, it's not autobiographical, but it is very similar to the way I grew up. The competition world is a very niche experience that not a lot of people know about. So we, we really tried to capture that world, yeah, and, and as a dad, you know, I was, you know, how, as a parent, you're thrust into your kids' worlds and whatever they into, and you never thought you'd be a part of that subculture and there you are as a logistics officer sneaking Chick-fil-A into a dark theater, right? Right. Yeah. Did you make it long? To do this, Steve, because when I was a dance dad, the dance recitals would go on for

4:10hours, and I was finally able to calculate when my daughters were going to dance. Did, did you ever figure that out or did you set through the whole session? Oh, no, I was, I was backstage, I was a prop set dad, you know, I was a guy's loading trucks and making sure all the, all the tubes were in the right spot during the blackouts and stuff. Yeah. Right. You were total dance dad. Well, in the movie, it's a fractured daughter and father relationship. Your, yours is not obviously, right? No, we're not. We're not. You guys are incredible. You, are you, are you nervous when your dad said, I want you to work with me? Oh, I was definitely nervous because it was my first time doing a feature, a full feature film, which was new for me as an EDM before that. I was just doing theater and dance and all that good stuff. So I was nervous in that sense, but doing it with dad, if anything, made me more comfortable because I knew he had my back and he wasn't going to let me make a fool out of myself.

5:14So I never was intimidated by it by any means. First of all, we rehearsed a lot, you know, which is kind of rare nowadays. So I really want you to know that we are huge fans of your old man, he's, he's funny and great and I'm, I'm going to go here. He's great. And I'm always amazed how actors, kids don't care and don't watch their movies. Have you seen most of his stuff or not? I mean, my dad's did a lot of stuff, he said, I've seen a decent amount though. It's not like I purposely avoided it or anything like that. Like what, what, what are you, what's your favorite performance of his? Hmm, I always loved that thing you do. I think that's one of my favorites because also Tom Everett Scott is in it too. And he's like his uncle. I think it's just kind of, it's fun to see them when they're young and like being stupid. That always makes me happy. Has he done anything on film that has made you cringe?

6:16Like the, the first episode of the White Lotus. White Lotus, he has to pull his shoulder, his thing out. Yeah. Yeah, well, that, that was a prosthetic. Yeah, I know. I know. But you had to approve that. I was shown a picture of my prosthetic and said, do you approve? I said, yes, I do. I love it. So they ran it by you. They ran by you. Do you sit down, Steve, Steve's on with us. The movie's called She Dances, by the way. And Audrey's on. Audrey's on. Audrey's on. Um, when a movie comes on, Steve, and the family was around when your daughter was younger and in the same house, and you were in it, would it stay on or would be turned off? So, uh, I can do a thing on that thing on, yeah, of course. Yeah. No, I, you know what? It was crazy. I showed the kids, that's in the summer. We were watching a movie a night and I was like the god and story and I wouldn't tell

7:18them anything. I would just go like sit down and they're like, what's the movie and like, no, just sit down and be quiet. And I'd put it in and I'd go, this is a little movie called Jaws, and then I'd walk away. And they would blow their wings and then the next night, what are you going to give us tonight? Great god of story. That's not what we said. No, it was like, what is it, dad? Here's saving silver, man. I'm out of here. Check it out. All right. Well, congratulations on the movie, uh, and it's got, by the way, it got great buzz and it seemed like a lot of a different award. Yeah. The Film Festival crowd, when they like something, do you find the Film Festival crowd is more forgiving? Are they more critical? Um, I don't know. It depends, but we've been, we've been really lucky. We've had great, great response with this movie. When people sit down and watch it together, it's, it's an incredible experience and, um, it really works. Again, it's really simple and it's, it's just about life and it's about family and

9:24And I really got to see the Ryan Gosling movie project. Tail Mary. Yeah. I mean, she said the same that you said. She says it's an amazing movie. Yeah. I, I enjoyed it. I mean, it's, it's, it's, my wife decided not to go. My daughter and I went together and she, my wife's like, it's a space movie. I'm like, yeah, it's happened. It felt space. And she's like, eh, I'm not much into sci-fi and I, I mean, yeah, it is a sci-fi movie, but it, it's not Star Wars or, or some, you know, there's no pew pew, you know, it's, it's just, it was a very, yeah, it was a heartfelt space movie. What's your batting average of, uh, movies that got to go see that you actually go see? Well, I watch them all on stream. So I, I, I actually see them. My batting average recently has been zero, right? Yeah. I was going to go see the Springsteen movie in the theater because I'm a big Springsteen fan. I waited, saw it online. I think this one, I mean, they shot this for IMAX. I know I heard it. I didn't see it in IMAX, but I saw a big screen, you saw a big screen in the big theater

10:27at the, at the theater complex I went to and it, it deserves to be seen on the big stats. Well, I'm here, you know, that's what I'm here. What I wanted to ask Steve's on is, uh, if, uh, and if his friends give him crap for being a two-time Minnesota state high school speech champion, uh, because he grew up in Minnesota. I'd make fun of him if he's my friend, you know, no, because the speech geeks in my school were just that, just geeks, you know, I think it'd be hard to make fun of him because he's cool. Yeah. Good point. And, uh, I could make fun of Todd, but Todd wasn't the champion. He came in second. No, no. That was radio broadcasting. I was a geek. I was a speech champion. I got a couple of first place trophies. I went to all state one time in speech. Yeah. Good for you. Did you still have them? Did you get a trophy? And I would, they gave medals. They didn't give you a trophy. Yeah. I would like to go on head to head with Steve's on, uh, see how that worked out. Did your medal get stuck around your dick, put it in that type of medal. I was waiting. I was waiting. Although he's in Minnesota, a little bigger state, probably a little stiffer competition.

11:30Right. Right. Probably. It was more like metal like you see. You want to become a really famous actor. A general jacket. That type of medal. Right. And I took second place in the radio broadcasting division because I kept reading the same story over and over. And they docked me for this kid's got it. I'm going to take a short term memory loss, but he's got it. Somebody suggested that go in for it. And I will today. A concussion protocol. I haven't hit my head on anything, but I should probably get checked for a concussion. That's been going that bit for 20, 30 years, you know. Yeah, but when it's 30 seconds, they're getting a little closer together. Yeah, it was today's the only half hour, but that one yesterday, it was in two in a row. I think tomorrow's Friday, I'm actually if he does it tomorrow, we're closer and closer to a diagnosis. Yeah. And this isn't a contact sport. That's the thing. No. Yeah, but everything we do off the air is pretty contact. Yeah. A lot of drugs and alcohol can miss your brain up. Yeah. And if you knock heads with Tyler, you're definitely losing that.

12:32Yeah, right. But I'm here out. I must kill my grandmother one time, both bent down to pick something up when I was like 16. Oh, I thought you greeted her head butt. I might as well. Yeah. She scored and came back to the sideline. And Tyler was like, bam. Good job. 80 pounds. Are you an anomaly? You don't come from a long line to big heads, do you? My grandfather on my mom's side, I think that's where I got the head. Yeah. The head. It's got to stay it out. My dad would always say, hey, my head. He'd always say that. See, he knew. Yeah, I know he knew. From a young age, you had a giant cranium. Damn, right. Although, when I get told in person, you're hitting that big. That's my favorite part. That's my favorite compliment. Yeah. You're hitting that big. Yeah. When people are saying that, people to be being person, well, where they, I mean, it is big. I'm not saying it's not. Are they expecting it to be like cartoonishly bad? Todd's head is big and so is Push's head. Yeah, but that's how I push his hats on. They're just slightly, slightly too small, but not much.

13:35We're a little bit taller and we weigh a little bit more than you, so it seems proportional. You know, when, when people meet me, they go, you got that, you're not, you're not as fat as Nick says. All right. Well, we just like put it when you were fat as a youth and I get your balls, which is not painful at all. Your balls really aren't that long. That's what I usually get. You need to watch to that law. Your balls are their law. Yeah. You should probably see them. Well, who sees them? You should probably dress what pants you're wearing in public, Todd. Everybody. All right. All right.
