Katie was cyberstalked after accepting a Facebook friend request from a woman she had never met in person. Initially, their messages were amicable, but they soon dove into personal topics, including emotional and mental struggles. Tension escalated when Katie started receiving messages from the woman's boyfriend, expressing concerns about their relationship. When Katie advised him to leave if he felt it was toxic, she triggered the woman's retaliation. This included menacing social media posts, fake reviews on Katie's business page, and messages sent to her friends. Katie now aims to share her experience of cyberstalking to raise awareness about online safety.
