£20M Plan Revitalizes Worksop Town Center

0:00On March 24, the government has approved a 20 million-pound plan to revitalize WorkSop Town Center and nearby areas. This vision and regeneration initiative led by the WorkSop Together Board and Bassett Law District Council will roll out funding over the next 10 years kicking off next month. Local leaders developed the plan after gathering input from nearly 700 residents, businesses and partners during consultations last summer. It builds on the government's pride in place program, formerly called Plan for Neighborhoods, which focuses on stronger communities and thriving, local spots. Reactions have been overwhelmingly positive from those involved. The board chair highlighted the two years of effort and thank community contributors while the local MP and council member emphasized how it addresses longstanding neglect and sets up lasting improvements.
