£20M Boost for Hucknall's Regeneration

0:00On March 24th, the UK government has approved 20 million pounds to help regenerate Westfield in Hucknell, Nottinghamshire. This funding will roll out over the next 10 years as part of the Pride and Place initiative, which supports locally driven improvements. The program is handing out grants to 280 neighborhoods across England, putting communities in charge of their own upgrades. This comes right after 20 million pounds went to nearby Kirkby in Asheville in 2024, plus 1,500,000 pounds. For the district through the Pride and Place Impact Fund in 2025, local officials at Asheville District Council are excited about the boost in plans to team up with the areas MP to create a neighborhood board. That group will shape a vision and spending plan tailored to our residents need most. The cash targets key areas like high streets, housing, jobs, health, transport, and safety, all aimed at stronger communities and places where people feel in control.
