斎藤 茂吉（さいとう もきち、1882年（明治15年）5月14日 – 1953年（昭和28年）2月25日）は、日本の歌人、精神科医。
あらゆるものは石ころとして身辺に転がっている。どの石も原石の資格がある。縁のあった石を長く磨くだけで光ってくる。短歌の世界で輝く星となった斉藤茂吉は、そういった気持ちで毎日原石を磨き続けたのだろう。この茂吉の言葉からは勇気をもらえる。
