トーマス・アルバ・エジソン（英語: Thomas Alva Edison, 英語発音: [ˈtɑməs ˈælvə ˈedəs(ə)n]（トマス・アルヴァ・エディスン）、 1847年2月11日 – 1931年10月18日）は、アメリカ合衆国の発明家、起業家。
「自分は毎日、18時間働くことにしている」というエジソンは、労働をしなかった。全ての時間が楽しみだった。そして「困るということは、次の新しい世界を発見する扉である」といったエジソンは常に新しい世界の扉を開いていった。「1%のひらめきと99%の汗」で天才エジソンがつくられたのである。
