About this episode
Klayton Carroll is originally from Maryland. He grew up just outside of Baltimore with a large extended family that loved spending time together. Growing up, sports were his main focus. He played in every sport he could throughout high school, in particular lacrosse as Maryland is the lacrosse capital of the world. After high school, he joined the Air Force. He then proceeded to go to Bozeman, MT where he attended Montana State University. He majored in psychology and worked towards a minor in coaching. During college, he started coaching youth and high school soccer and lacrosse. He was the founder and president of the first youth lacrosse league in Montana in 2002 and was also one of the founding members of the MSU men’s lacrosse team.
After college, Klayton joined the US Army where he flew Apache helicopters. After the US Army, he then decided to become a Sheriff’s Deputy. During his time as Sheriff’s Deputy, he completed his Masters Degree in psychology. Once he completed his degree, he moved back up to Sidney, MT where he learned how to run the family restaurant and became an entrepreneur. Klayton has since shifted his focus to pursue his passion in psychology and has launched his coaching and mental performance business where he is hoping to make a difference in the lives of young athletes, coaches, parents, and business professionals.
