嗨大家好，我是你们的普通话老师Nana。

最近我非常想吃点心。

点心是什么呢？在中文里面点心有两个意思.

在中国的北方,一般点心指的是dessert。

所以点心指的是一些甜的东西。

而在中国的南方，点心指的就是我们常听的dim sum 点心。

这一类的点心多种多样，有非常多不同的种类。

通常情况下，人们会选择在上午或者中午来吃点心。

有一些老人家可以在吃点心的地方,边读报纸边喝茶，边吃点心,就这样度过一整个上午。

同时他们还会和自己的朋友聊天,所以吃点心也是他们休闲的一种方法。

常见的点心有哪些种类呢？

他们可以是蒸的。

蒸的就是steamed。

也可以是炸的。

炸的就是fried。

蒸的点心，比较常见的有烧麦。

烧麦是一种猪肉做的点心。

还有虾饺。

虾饺就是用虾做的小饺子一样的东西，like a small shrimp dumpling，虾饺。

我自己非常喜欢吃这一类的点心，因为每一种食物都比较少。所以我可以一次吃很多不同种类的食物。

Lately, I wanted to have dim sum very much. What is dim sum? In Chinese, there are two meanings for dim sum. In Northern China, generally dim sum refers to dessert. So, dim sum refers to something sweet. On the other hand,  in Southern China, dim sum refers to what we hear all the time, dim sum.

This kind of dim sum is various, consisting of different types. Under normal circumstances, people could choose to have it in the morning or in the afternoon. Some elders could spend their whole morning at the dim sum places, reading newspapers while having tea, and having dim sum at the same time. Meanwhile, they would chat with their friends, so having dim sum is also a way of their leisure.

What are the common dim sum types? They could be steamed. Also (they) could be fried. For steamed dim sum, shumai is relatively common. Shumai is a kind of dim sum made with pork. Also, har gow is a kind of small dumplings made with shrimps. I personally like these kinds of dim sum very much, as each of the food is relatively little. Therefore, I could have different kinds of food at once.
