病人を救うのは医師としての義務である
松本良順（天保３年６月１６日（1832年７月13日－明治40年（1907年）3月12日）は、江戸末期から明治期の医師。大日本帝国陸軍軍医総監（初代）。
冒頭の言葉は、若き日に指導を受けた師匠・ポンペの言葉である。今では当たり前のように聞こえるが、幕末の時代にあっては、人の身分は問わず、病人を救うのは医者としての役目だという思想は新しかった。そのポンペの思想を生涯守り、発展させ日本医学界の基礎を松本良順は固めた。
