145: Using 6 Week Working Cycles in Your Business

We all love to plan and make big goals for ourselves and our businesses. That’s part of being an entrepreneur! But did you know that a lot of us are doing it wrong? Many of us are setting ourselves up for failure and we don’t even know it. 

 

Not planning well will lead to not hitting goals, and when we consistently don’t hit our goals, it can cause us to feel discouraged and tempted to give up. So in this week’s episode of Serve Scale Soar®, I am breaking down the one strategy that we implemented to change the game. We are getting more done, we’re creating more wins, and we are actually excited to work because we are hitting our goals. 

 

For many of us, planning looks like this: you plan out your goals for the whole year, then you break it down into quarters, and go from there. Those quarters contain 90 days, and for an entrepreneur, that is a lifetime. So much can happen in that time! Let’s be honest, we can get a little squirrelly with our goals and jump from one thing to the next and the next thing you know, you have a bunch of unfinished projects and goals. This type of goal setting will put you on the fast track to frustration, burnout, and the desire to quit, but it doesn’t have to be that way! Let’s change the narrative on how we plan our goals. 

 

This simple change in how you plan out your goals will lead to more and more wins. When we are winning in our business, we are more likely to stick it out! I want that longevity and sense of accomplishment for you.
