吉本 せい（よしもと せい、1889年12月5日 – 1950年3月14日）は、吉本興業創業者、芸能プロモーター。
吉本興業の使命は大衆を「笑わせる」ことだった。人を観る。時代を先取りする。意見をよく聞く。そしていいと思ったものは失敗を恐れず断固実行する。お笑いに人生を賭けた女大将は、「笑わせなあきまへんで」と常に言いながらお笑いの集団を組織していった。吉本せいをモデルにした2017年10月から始まったＮＨＫ朝ドラ「わろてんか」でその人生ドラマを楽しみたい。
