志賀 潔（しが きよし、明治3年12月18日(1871年2月7日） -昭和32年( 1957年）1月25日）は、日本の医学者・細菌学者である。
この亘理は志賀潔が晩年の1949年以来過ごした温暖な地である。高台にあった志賀潔の別荘（貴洋翠荘）は最近の火事で燃えてしまったのだが、中浜小学校にある倒れた碑には志賀潔の素晴らしい言葉が刻まれていた。それが昭和33年5月5日のこどもの日の日付の冒頭の言葉である。どのような仕事も「まじめに、しんぼう強く 元気よく やりとおせば」、成果はあがる。世界的細菌学者・志賀潔は、そういう当たり前だが、深い真実の言葉を故郷の小学生たちに贈ったのである。
