112: The thorn, shadow work, and healing your core wounds

About this episode

In today's episode, I talk about the concept of "the thorn" from spiritual teacher Michael Singer: the core wound around which, consciously or unconsciously, we build our lives to ensure that the thorn and its wound is never touched.

While keeping our thorn safe is ultimately and originally an act of protection and salvation, as we grow, it becomes a limiting way of living, and I discuss how we can begin to actually be with and heal the thorn and its wound instead through shadow work.
