久保田 万太郎（くぼた まんたろう、1889年（明治22年）11月7日 – 1963年（昭和38年）5月6日）は、大正から昭和にかけて活躍した俳人、小説家、劇作家。
以上、久保田万太郎という人物が匂うようなエピソードだ。自身は俳句は余技だとして位置づけていたのだが、そもそも俳句という文芸は本来は本業の合間に親しむ余技なのではないか。冒頭の俳句は久保田万太郎の人生をうたった傑作だ。
