西園寺 公望（さいおんじ きんもち、嘉永2年10月22日（1849年12月6日） – 昭和15年（1940年）11月24日）は、日本の公家、政治家、教育者。位階・勲等・爵位は従一位大勲位公爵。雅号は陶庵、不読、竹軒。
公債を募集することになったとき、実業家たちを総理官邸に招き宴会を開いた。最初の挨拶は「旦那寺食わしておいてさてと言い」から始めて感心させた。こういうユーモアは威力がある。
