岸田 國士（きしだ くにお、1890年（明治23年）11月2日 – 1954年（昭和29年）3月5日）は、日本の劇作家・小説家・評論家・翻訳家・演出家。
長女は詩人岸田衿子、次女は女優の岸田今日子で、この劇作家の血を引いて活躍している。
岸田国士はペンを武器に演劇の世界を変えようとした。冒頭に掲げた言葉の「始める誰か」は岸田自身だった。なにごとも自分から始めたい。そこに人生の栄光がある。
