ジェームズ・クック（James Cook、 1728年10月27日 – 1779年2月14日）は、イギリスの海軍士官、海洋探検家、海図製作者。通称キャプテン・クック (Captain Cook)。
ニュージーランドのクック山やクック海峡、アラスカのクック湾など、クックを名祖とする地名は数多い。小惑星番号3061のクックや月の豊かの海にあるクレーターにもその名が付けられている。
「誰かに『ダメだ』と言われたとしても、それは最初の一歩にすぎない。習得しなければならないのは、その『ダメだ』と言うことばに打ち勝つことだ」というクックは、探検精神の持ち主であり、不撓不屈の人であった。
