Jonathan, Saul’s son, decided to attack a Philistine garrison, showing bold faith, that God is able to win victories no matter the odds. Through his bravery, God caused confusion in the enemy camp, leading Israel to victory. However, Jonathan’s father, Saul, made a rash vow that hindered the success of the battle.
