1 in 5 UK Teens Self-Censor Political Views

0:00On April 17th, a new survey from the Economist Educational Foundation drops some real talk, one in five teenagers in the UK hold back their political. Views out of fear of getting canceled. More than one in five say they've been told to zip it at school, and 21% face that pushback on social media. 19% got the same from friends, while 16% even dealt with it at home. Older teens aged 15 to 17 self-sensor more than the younger crowd from 10 to 14, likely because they're tuned into cancel. Culture only 6% of them don't get the term, compared to 22% of the kids.
