You've been waiting out through delays all day up in New England. Where were you in Rhode Island? A New Hampshire. We flew into Providence and visited my two sisters and my brother up in Massachusetts. And then my dear son Sean Patrick. And he is and his brood and had a lovely mass,

4:08holy Thursday mass at St. Mary's where I grew up, where I was an altar boy. My parents were both buried out of St. Mary's. And it was wonderful. And then we had, we went to midnight mass last night at my son, Sean Patrick's church and often Massachusetts. And then we had a brunch this morning with, and then we figure out, let's go. We got to make that flight. And then we had three hours and three and a half hours of delays. And so it's like we shouldn't have. We didn't really have to rush. We got lost trying to find the rental turn-in. It's all crazy stories, right? But here we are. Well, here we are. And that three hours gave you plenty of time to do your olympic or minjaro shot, which you're probably going to want to start taking after a weekend of eating like that. Good heavens. Yeah, we did the big, we did the big Easter ham today. My mom and dad were in town. I have a lot of family in town. I have brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephew, mom and dad were here,

5:11and all that fun stuff. Kids are both home. So it was a lot of fun. So we appreciate you being here, Neil, very much. I know everything you've been through. And you just got home. I want to make this point, ladies and gentlemen. You just walked in. Yeah, absolutely. Thank you for being here. Well, I had a couple guys on standby. I told people, Neil, right before you came on, we had us closing out the last hour. So I'm not really sure. We'll let you know in a few minutes. It's either going to be quong, Ryan or Neil. You jumped in here at the last moment. So thank you. My dear, my dear, dear wife and I gave up alcohol for lent. And it seemed like a good idea at the time. And, um, and, because we went to the Easter vigil Saturday night. So technically, we were covered. But we held on until today. And, uh, so we did the full 40 days. And, uh, I think we'll do it. I think we'll do it every year. I, uh, I recommend it to anybody. It was great. Dry March, huh? Gave up alcohol. Yeah. Well, it's called lent, Mark, for those of us who were, uh,

6:11raised Catholic. What's it called? I missed that. Greg jumped in. He said, boo. Oh, lent. Yeah, of course. Yeah, I was raised Catholic. So yeah, I didn't give up anything for lent. Um, but I remember growing up. Yeah, it was, it was a big deal. But, um, all right, Neil. Well, here's what we're going to do. Let's start with you. Bondy deal. You came on the program during the week. And I really want to bring this to the bigger audience today. Bondies out. And, of course, you and I had talked about on this program many, many times over the last year that it was not likely she was going to be gone. We just talked to AWR Hawkins about this. And, you know, his comments were, I'm not surprising to me. Bondy didn't scare me because I know who her boss is. And I know what directive she was given. And I really never felt that Bondy was going to get outside those guardrails that Trump had laid in place for her. All right. Think of, uh, think of the bowling alley. Okay. And those safety rails. It was gutter rails guys. She wasn't going to try to get outside those rails. I didn't fear her because I knew what her boss's position was.

7:12But what she didn't do. Was the things that she should have done. And I think that had a lot to do. It's not all about guns. It's other things as well. We want accountability. In that AG's office. And we're not going to get it. How are you feeling a week out now or close to a week out now that she's out? Have you had a chance to think about this? And, and maybe formulate some opinions as to why? Or maybe you know something from DC because you're so plugged in as a reporter there? Well, give us your thoughts on Bondy. Well, I, I was in the Trump DOJ up until December. And I felt that Bondy had, had, had, had basically saw her job as being the leader through communication and messaging. And so she made a great effort to travel the country and to communicate the priorities of the department and the Trump administration on TV. And there were a lot of other people in the department who were supposed to do stuff who didn't.

8:19And she didn't really take a stick to them. And, but a lot of them in DOJ have their own independent power bases, right? So it's not like, it's not like there's some people who are very senior people at DOJ that, you know, it's not like he could, she could fire them. And I don't know if she could even get away with firing cash fatel if she had decided cash fatel wasn't doing the job. I will say that the U.S. attorneys who were the local federal prosecutors, the 94 offices, and John Thune and the Senate Republicans, because of some kind of institutional courtesy, are allowing Senate Democrats to block Trump's appointments for U.S. attorneys and now judges. And so those are the guys. That's the maneuver element for the Department of Justice, those local federal prosecutors in those 94 offices. And they're the main justice can do litigation. They can do, you know, they can, they can sue Exxon for 18 months, right?

9:26But the person who's actually on the ground doing the quick and dirty prosecutions to get something done is the U.S. attorney and his army of assistant U.S. attorneys, and those guys are not motivated, especially in the blue state. And the blue states is where all the weaponization was, and it's the blue states where Trump can't get his people through because John Thune and the Republican leadership are blocking. All right. That's not called courtesy as far as I'm concerned. That's called rhinoism. That's called established garbage. It's why these people need to go. It is remarkable at this point in a second Trump turn that they have a turn that they haven't figured that out. Neil, we're getting ready to take our first break when we come back. I want to ask you about widely circulating reports about swallwell and Bondy. Okay. You know, these are strange bedfellows here. And I don't know any more than what I've read. I don't have any contacts in those departments. You likely do.

10:26I don't know if there's any truth to that. I don't know if we can get some confirmation on that. Again, it is being widely reported. And that would certainly let's say that would upset the flavor of Donald Trump's weedies in the morning, ladies and gentlemen, if that were to be true. Get your mug back up on this screen for us so we can have conversation. Now, Neil, I was talking about Bondy and Swalwell. This is widely reported. These are strange bedfellows here. If I did not know they were friends and colleagues, I did not know that.

12:37To me, that seems like, well, I don't know, like, you know, water and oil. Those are like pairs of words that don't belong in the same sentence, like career and politician, Bondy and Swalwell. They just don't seem to go together. Would she or is she capable of or did she tip off Swalwell about the upcoming FBI investigation? Or the fact that he was under investigation and that certainly would have, let's say, urinated on Donald Trump's cornflakes in the morning. I mean, this would have not made him happy by any stretch. Is there any truth to this that just seems odd to me, but, you know, I'm open. Well, it was reported. I saw it in the daily mail and for a lot of people, you know, make, make hay out of his relationship with Christine Fang or Fang Fang. I've actually interviewed Fang Fang and I don't believe that they had, you know, a personal relationship. They certainly, certainly she raised a lot of money for him and she basically raised the money that put him in Congress.

13:47But let me say, wait, wait, hold on a second. Hold on a second. Hold on a second. Hold on. Let me get some clarification here because I think listeners might be thinking what I'm thinking too. I don't think that escaped Greg, but it did me and I want to make sure. Are we talking about Bondy relationship with him or Fang Fang relationship with him? That's been why I'm talking about Fang Fang. You don't think he was involved in a personal relationship with her? No, I think that her, she told me who her personal relationship was with and so based on our conversations and how things played out, I take her word for it. Well, wait a minute. Wait a minute. If she's in fact a Chinese spy, why would we take anything she says with any grain of truth whatsoever? Well, she was a Chinese influence agent and the CIA, she told me that the CIA offered her a million dollars to flip.

14:47And when she didn't flip, she said she wouldn't flip and work for the CIA and then immediately then she then she got word or figured out or somebody tipped her off that the FBI was onto her. And a lot of people thought Swallow was the guy who tipped her off about the FBI and she told everyone she was flying to Washington for meetings and instead she flew back to China. Now, Bondy had the opportunity to prosecute Swallow, ruling D.C. U.S. attorney Jeanine Piro because he said in his mortgage forms for his house in Washington that he was a resident of Washington, D.C. that it was his principal resident. The federal law gives preference for taxes and other things to people for their mortgage for their primary residents. Bankers give lower interest rates to your primary residence because the bankers figure you'll pay off, you'll pay the mortgage on your primary residence before you'll pay off your second home on Cape Cod.

15:56And so Swallow said that his million dollar home in Washington, D.C. was his primary residence. Well, your primary residence can't be the district of Columbia if you were a congressman from California. So that's like open and shut. Like I don't know why that's a problem. Well, let me ask you what because I just want to say this. Okay. How much money does Swallow make? Maybe $1.75. All right. He's got a million dollar home in D.C. and probably not a trailer in California. Right. And I imagine, you know, there might be even gentlemen. Could you loan millions of dollars of real estate on 175 grand a year? I'm just asking for a friend, Neil. I'm just saying that the prosecution of Eric Swallow died on the vine just like the prosecution of Federal Reserve Governor, Lisa Cook, died on the vine.

16:57And just like the prosecution of Adam Schiff and Tis James, well, Tis James got further. But, you know, it's Pam Bondy, like go back to go back to Tis James and James Colmy, prosecutions for the Eastern District of Virginia. When Eric Siebert resigned or was fired, Pam Bondy hired some stooge to be the new US attorney. And three hours later, the White House said, no way we're sending in Lindy Hannigan and or Lindy Halligan. I'm sorry if I got her name wrong, but I think it was a White House staff attorney. White House staff attorney was sent to be the US attorney. Because it was so important to the president of the United States that these prosecutions go forward. And you also, but there's a number of prosecutions that have been completely jacked up.

17:57It's like, for instance, the guy who the guy's caught a videotape throwing a sandwich at a Federal law enforcement officer that they can't even get an indictment on that one. So, I thought it was easy to get a, I thought they all say you can indict a ham sandwich. I'm not saying, I'm not saying I know what happened in that grand jury because I haven't seen the information. But obviously, grand jury, grand jury information is sealed unless you go to trial because you're not allowed to just trash people without giving them a day in court. But what happens with these career prosecutors is they go to the grand jury and they basically present defense witnesses and defense evidence to the grand jury to kneecap the prosecutions that Trump wants. That's why they can't get an indictment because the prosecutors, the career prosecutors, are made the case for the defense in front of the grand jury.

19:02But it's not public so they can do whatever they want without any kind of reprisal. Going back to Swalwell and Bob. Hold that thought because we're getting ready to take a break. Going back to Swalwell and Bondy, we'll go back to that. But I find it interesting, you know, you say you can't beat them up without due process. Well, unless, of course, there are victims of a red flag law. How about that, ladies and gentlemen? No due process required and they can beat you up all day and it's exparte. While they're beating you up, you don't even know about it. So there's that little bit of a disconnect. Yeah, because it's about taking your guns. So as long as it makes it easier to take your guns, well, they can beat you up and in fact, you don't even have to be there. In fact, they don't even want you there. Swalwell, back to Swalwell, getting back to Bondy and Swalwell. Let's go back there briefly before we cover a few other topics with you. Well, I mean that the report or is that he was, he was being investigated by the FBI, that basically the Trump administration was reopening an investigation into his relationship with Fang Fang and perhaps other Chinese influencers. And there's a very powerful relationship between Chinese Communist Party operatives and the Democratic Party machine in Northern California, Dine Finestein.

22:12For 30 years, had a CCP operative working in one of her district offices. Pelosi's husband did a lot of business with the Chinese, finesteins, husbands did a lot of business with the Chinese. And then you had like these two bit operators like Swalwell, who, you know, is on the Fresno, Fresno, California City Council. Next thing, you know, he's a Congressman. Next thing, you know, he was running for president, I believe in 2020. And all that funding would have come from operatives like Christine Fang. And so there's more to, there's more to that story, I'm sure, not just Fang, but other operatives. And so the FBI is looking into it and the media reports is that Bondy kept them off. I wasn't aware that they were friends, but you know, that happens in DC, like a lot of places, so whatever, it's just the way it goes.

23:15Okay, well, she's out. People become friends at the club, the bars or whatever. Yeah, all right, strange bedfellows. Well, you know, look, I'm not sad she's gone. She didn't scare me while she was there, because again, my, you know, my position on Donald Trump being her boss, I was more comfortable with that than I was, of course, with her being in office, but I would have taken her over anybody while Harris would have tossed up or a Joe Biden or anybody else. All we've got to do is go back and look in real time. I mean, you can go all the way back down to South Florida and what's her face down there years ago. Janet Reno, I mean, good heavens. You know, I've taken Bondy over any of them, but she is gone. Blanche is coming in as acting AG and AWR Hawkins. And the previous hour, ladies and gentlemen, if you missed it, made it very clear. They're good friends. And he has a tremendous amount of confidence in Blanche. So we'll see what happens. We'll be here to follow it. Neil, there are other stories out there right now. Not the least of which I got to go to Rhode Island because you just came back here.

24:18But Rhode Island is pushing one of the most egregious gun control bills I've ever seen. That goes back and re-nigs on the grandfather clause in their quote unquote assault weapons ban. And changes the law and the government has voiced support for this. That would make possession of everything you bought legally. By wiping out the grandfather clause, turn you into a felon. In other words, yeah, no, we're not going to let you keep it. You're going to turn it in or we're going to put you in prison for up to 10 years and wreck your life with felonies. Now, I made this clear with AWR and I've made this clear many times. No human being possesses the moral authority to tell me what I can or can't own to defend my life, period. And I will take that to my grave. There is no such thing as a gun-free zone where I am. I'll just leave it at that. And no human being is going to tell me,

25:19especially some state lunatic Democrat, is going to tell me that I can't own the weapon that I chose to own and bought lawfully and then re-nig on that because they don't have the moral authority to do so. So where does that leave us? It doesn't leave me and George, I'm going to cover something with you and George from the FPC in the next segment. I'm okay here, but where does that leave folks behind the blue wall in those 12 hideous blue run states that we're talking about that are so anti-gun? What happens next if a governor signs this? Well, first of all, it's such a shame, right? Because Rhode Island, like Connecticut and Massachusetts and other parts of New England, have such a great tradition of gun smithery and innovation and manufacturing and everything else with guns. And then you consider all the gang bangers who are basically controlling cities

26:21like central falls, like puttucket, like one socket, like parts of Providence that the police have abandoned, right? And then of course, you know, Providence, I don't think it's a secret, the Providence is pretty mobbed up also. And so the idea that they're going after a few non-criminals in Rhode Island who have guns is really, really troubling. Well, the tradition you're talking about sadly, that ship sailed many, many, many, many years ago, many years ago. But it is one of the most egregious that I have seen so far. And then of course, down a little bit farther south west, ladies and gentlemen, if you live in New York, just four days ago, Democrats began to push there to push an additional 11% excise tax on guns and ammo sales. And where did we see that come from, Neil? Swalwells, California. It's just copycat, copycat, copycat of West Coast gun control in these blue states.

27:26And I know I'm interrupting you. No, you're fine. Go ahead. I am not convinced that you can tax something that is a constitutional right. Yeah, well, there's a guy. The guy who, in the heller case, I can never remember his last name, but his first name was Dane. And he's the actual guy who, people in the gun rights team, remember his name. He's been on the show many times. He invented the case. He went to Georgetown Law School. He didn't graduate. He only took the courses he needed. So he could figure out how to challenge the DC Dunban. And I talked to him at life one day. And he was telling me it's like, flat out. This guy was saying, there is no way you can tax a constitutional right. And I believe him.

28:27Sadly, he's no longer with us. But I think that I think, you know, the pot, you know, I don't have to get who said it. But, you know, there was a chief justice, not a chief justice, or at least they had just a Supreme Court. He said, the power to tax is the power to destroy. I believe it was all the one to homes. The power to tax is the power to destroy. And that's what they're doing. And so, if you go to school, recognize and lead in the legal community and jurisprudence, it is recognized that taxes are used as a way of suppressing people's freedom in their economic and other viabilities. And so, I think that's worth a challenge. But I don't know, I don't know. And with this court, who knows what it would have? Well, you're right. And as we go to the break, I was going to remind you very quickly of Roberts and the tax issue when it come to Obamacare. And the Supreme Court, generally speaking, leaving that up to the legislative body. But you are absolutely correct about that.

29:27And I agree. And by the way, Dane has been on this program before. His last name was one that it was, it had to come to me. But it was Dane von Brecken, real-cart. Welcome back, brother. Happy Easter. We've got one more segment with you. We're going to round this out with this. This is a fun one. Sure. 2026 Fire Armed Policy Coalition State Freedom Index. Neil, I'm going to quiz you here. And this is going to be interesting because I'm going to bet you get this answer wrong. I would have if I were not looking at it.

33:34FPC ranked all 50 states in their right to keep in bear arms freedom index by state. Only two states came in at 100%. Care to take a stab at which two states it was. It's going to shock you, I think. Vermont and South Dakota. No. Greg, do you want to jump in on this? This is kind of fun. A second. Do you want to jump in on the FPC state freedom index? Which two states came in at 100%. That's what I meant. We refer to them as Chad states. Which ones do you think was? Which two states came in 100% free on the freedom index? Just throwing out there. I'm going to say Texas because I'm a Texan, obviously, and Missouri. Kansas? Yeah, Kansas was number one. And number two, believe it or not, and this was New Hampshire. Kansas was number one. And New Hampshire came in at number one. Then they have the free-ish states.

34:35So they have four categories, Neil. Chad state, which is 100%. Free-ish states, 85 to 99%. State of confusion, 70 to 84. And state of disaster, less than 70%. Now, those states that our disasters are, of course, and we'll name them. Colorado, California, Washington, Illinois, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware. Now, the free-ish states, these were interesting. I live in Georgia. Georgia came in at 90.91%. Now, I'm going to pull Georgia up. Here was the criteria, guys. Neil, this is fascinating. Does the state prohibitor restrict the purchase possession or transfer of common handguns? No. Does the state prohibitor restrict the purchase, possession, or transfer of semi-automatic firearms? No. Meaning assault weapons, fans. No. Does the state prohibitor restrict the purchase, possession, or transfer of a short-barreled rifle, or otherwise compliant federal law?

35:36No. Does the state prohibit the same relative to short-barreled shotgun, SBS, otherwise compliant with federal law? No. Does the state prohibitor restrict the purchase, possession, transfer of a machine gun? Compliant with law. No. Does the state prohibit restrict the purchase possession transfer of firearms sound suppressor? No. Does the state prohibit purchase possession transfer of firearm magazine ammunition feeding devices? Based on capacity limit. No. Do they protect? Excuse me prohibit there or restrict the purchase possession or transfer of body armor? No. Does the state prohibit or restrict the personal manufacturer of firearms? No. Carried. Does the state require a typical permit? No. There will be two yeses. Does Georgia impose an age-based ban on the ability of 18 to 20 year olds? Yes. And does the state impose a ban on carrying firearms at places of worship? Yes. No, it doesn't, ladies and gentlemen. I can tell you that with 100,000 percent certainty. There you have it, but those two and the rest were all knows. All greens, though, those are greens in this one gave Georgia 90.91

36:40Arizona on the other hand had 95 with only one no. Where do you think Florida came in? You would think Florida and Texas Greg when we're talking about those chief state. Florida and Texas Texas Florida. A little bit higher in Georgia. Yeah, Florida came. Let's look specifically at the number that came in. State of confusion. 81.82 percent was Florida state of confusion. Go ahead, Neil. Who's that guy? The state rep that we had on his first name was Joel. He was a doctor. And he plays plays guitar. And he's the guy who would just he just started ripping Florida gun laws. And he we had him on. And he just went down the list of all the crazy gun laws and regulations and problems in Florida. But anyway, yeah, it's bad. Yes. Yeah, great. Well, Florida came in at 81.82 percent in large part because of that. And you can attribute a lot of that to the parkland bill.

37:41Texas on the other hand came in at 95.45. And interestingly, Kansas, well, was 100 percent Nebraska came in at state of confusion. So the states of confusion, Ohio, Virginia state of confusion at 72.73. Keep in mind the governor hasn't signed those bills yet. That's soon to be OK state of disaster. That will happen momentarily. The moment the governor signs those bills in Virginia, you can, you know, Virginia's is californicated. Neil, final word. We're moving in the right direction. Are you feeling comfortable? We're going with Bondy out. Yes. And I just wanted direct people's attention to go for the republicans. If the problem is the republicans on Capitol Hill, this is a magic administration that needs support on Capitol Hill. Don't trash the president and his administration. Go after Capitol Hill.
