00Yeah, come on. Welcome to the Accommod Show with Southside Steve. Yeah, come on. I'll tell you, I love a good Monday and that's what this is. There isn't a good Monday. I know there's good Friday, if you're a good Catholic boy, but there is no good Monday. And most people don't dig Mondays, especially if you have a Sunday, a Sunday. And you did. I can tell by looking at you, I don't know what these cameras are picking up. I mean, they are Marshall CV 355 dash 10 Xers, which means they cost almost a thousand a piece, but I'm watching you and I see that you haven't shaved. That's unlike you. You did shave your neck because if you're like me, you don't want to tear up the ring of your t-shirt.
00Yeah, it's kind of, I'm doing a, I'm going to a birthday party, my cousin having a birthday party Saturday, and it's going to be not karaoke, but lip syncing. Oh. So I'm lip syncing Kenny Rogers. So that's why I'm growing a beer just to kind of have a little bit of a little bit of Kenny Flair. I love it. You're going to look, you're going to be Kenny Rogers. Yeah. That is great. What, what era of Kenny? Oh, we meet my girlfriend or doing islands in the stream. Oh boy. So she'll be Dolly and I'll be Kenny. Okay. Are you getting her boob job? No, no, no. Yeah. Has she gained in the little way? No, she might have to stuff the bra a little bit, but stuff the bra, stuff the bra, if you're going to do it, is she wearing a big white puffy wig? I don't think we're going to go that deep. I'm just doing the beer because it worked when I did Landman when I went to his Landman for Halloween. I grew a little beard and I had a little bit of a Thornton thing going. I'm just going to kind of recreate it with Kenny, just so the listening audience knows here on the come on show from the Exit Wealth Studios where we broadcast from in Alpharetta
05Exit Wealth Studios also in Buckhead. You've done three or four outfits. I don't, I've never done that. Why do my facial hair to look like somebody? You've been me. You had to go to. Yeah. That's what that was. That was part of my costume before. I was Billy Bob and then I just shade it to a go to free for the, for the, for the for my Southside Steve costume. So Jeff goes is Billy Bob to the girlfriend party then shows up at East Side Station where we were doing a broadcast as me and you crushed it. You definitely could be my body double. If I, if I all of a sudden, because I know you're trying to get an acting career, you're never going to give up. You're just not Jeff. Well, I'm the hardest working man trying to get into show business. There you go. So if you needed to stand in, I can be your stand in. Say I get an acting role, you're my stand in automatically and I'm like, you know what? And I'll be like, y'all, he's dying for a line, give a boy a line. And then all of a sudden, he's in. The other looks you did Halloween two years ago, you, you kind of had your facial hair and your glasses. You were, I can't think of the actor's name.
08I love him, but he was the one that, that crushes the guy's face with his gun across the street. Ray Leota in Goodfellas. That's right. Ray Leota. God. You did Ray Leota too. You had the exact same leather burgundy jacket. Yeah, I did. I did have, I have the exact same jacket from this one scene and I've been told I look like him previously. So I'm like, okay, I should be able to nail this costume. I would definitely say yes. If Ray Leota had a son, it would have been you. Yeah. See, I could have been in a ray. I could have been in like a Ray Leota's brother in a movie. Oh, yes. No one. No one called me. No one called me. God. If only he would have run into Ray. Yeah. It's the what have yous, what could have been? You see people mastering life. We have goats in the news. And when I say goats greatest of all time and we're going to talk about two goats in sports with Jack Sugar, he'll be coming to us in sports in about 20 minutes until then Steve M. Z is full of one liners that I have all the info on.
08It's just a matter of how much time we have. And I do want to tease politic taming. I'd stick around for that because we are not at war. We are at, we are at change. We are. No, we are at war. Is it war? They don't call it that. But we'll get, we'll get to discussing. I can't wait to hear your, your, I hate to use the word take, but I did. I got one here. You take. But I like the hair on you, man. I mean, it's the coffee. Look, the beard. I think it could be cool. We got to see how it comes in. Okay. Kenny Rogers just had a short beard. I knew Kenny. Do you ever meet him? No. Oh, wow. He came in. He actually became good friends through the girls. But with Larry Wack, Sandra Golden, who was his Larry of the regular guys for those of you that don't know, that was the Atlanta morning show that crushed Atlanta for 10 years. Anytime somebody asked me to compare it to something, I'm like, OP and Anthony, because number one, I think Larry was stealing a lot of their bits, unbeknownst to me and Eric.
10And we were acting them out. But it was OP, OP and Andy didn't have a Southside Steve. No, they didn't. That's, that's what they were missing. And guess what? They almost did for those that remember 96 rock in Atlanta, Georgia, Heritage Rock station. Jeff was the last employee. My co-host of 96 rock before it flipped to an alternative station called Project 961. That's cool. And Christopher Rude and the wake up crew that had dominated the latter part of the 80s into the 90s was dismissed from the building. And then we started interviewing shows and 96 rock desperately wanted to hire OP and Anthony. And they were going to put them with me, but they were going to move them here. Yeah. They wouldn't be syndicated. No, they were going to be here in Atlanta. I saw them in the hallway. I introduced myself, talked to them. They went on down in the manager. Their guys, they talked for about two weeks. I thought they were the deal and I, and I'm not a radio, radio guy, so I didn't know who
11they were and turned out they turned it down for mid days in New York. And later on, you know, the syndication. And we ended up getting our second choice was Larry and Eric out of Los Angeles. They'd only been there for two years and they're upstate New York jocks. And they came and changed my life. Yeah. And I want to say in a good way because I got thicker skin, but it was an urge revenge. Larry just hated everybody and anybody he thought was the type of guy that could have picked on him in high school. He just went after him. And his goal was always to make you cry. I don't know which show he stole that from, but I guess there was somewhere. I don't know if it was Stern or who maybe would pick on certain interns or employees trying to make them like get emotional, like ruin their day so bad they cry. That was part of that was part of radio. That was what it was mean. Radio's guys did is be mean. Yeah. And my thing was, I just had sex with her and I'd show the picture. This is what's in my bed right now is the only way I could get him back the only way.
13And that's what that's what made him hate me more. We're all friends now you get through it. That was literally 25 years ago, 27, eight years ago. It went fast. And here we are on the, yeah, come on show. We're glad you're with us. The next segment we're about to get into is a little bit of Steve M. Z. Yeah. It's a play on TMZ. I get some of my stories from those guys, but I also get them from everywhere. And sometimes Jeff and I might even know the people. Jeff just walked on me, he's got happy fingers. It's okay. But I was just saying that sometimes we know some people and actually one of these stories we do chat is stuck who chat is stuck chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat chat GPT. No. It is chat chat whatever he is stuck right now that is Tom Hanks son. He's stuck in Columbia.
14And the girls we used to have on the show and the girl that I used to date just for about three or four months, Kim Zalciac, Housewife of Atlanta, she wasn't married then. But they hung out with him. The Jenny who used to be on our show all the time and still will come in from time to time hung out with him. And they were partying with this guy in different cities and having a good time. They say he's a lot of fun, but I don't know how he and his dad Tom Hanks get along. He's like a rapper, isn't he? He doesn't do it. Doesn't he do rappers? That's a great question. I don't know if he's a rapper. Well, but I think that he's done, he does hip hop or tries to do hip hop. Yeah. I think I remember Jenny talking about that. He's not a chip off the block. No. He's not going Tom Hanks. Not like Colin. Colin Hanks. Colin Hanks is all in. Yeah. And he's done some good. He's had some good roles. See, and that's what you got to look at. That's where the brother thing comes in. It's almost like, you know, with the sheens, they made it work and they're not really sheens. Yeah, they're the best of us, and you know, then you've got like two sons of father and
17everybody's doing it. We've seen that, but somewhere and all this, I guess he got lost in the mix. And now how do you get down in Columbia? He's lost his passport and can't get out. That's what everybody says. So it's not because of Venezuela and all of our shanty gets down there. He's just stuck as he has no passport. He's stuck because he has no passport. So the question is can he get out? Is this dad helping him or our friends helping him? I mean, dude, we could call up and say, Hey, man, is he called you guys? It wouldn't surprise me if he called Jenny or Kim saying, Hey, anybody got any cash? I'll pay you back. Jenny could make this happen. I think if anybody could get him out, Jenny could. So maybe we got to talk with Jenny. Don't know about that. And say, man, can you get, can you get him out? Cause I don't know that she can't get shut out. Of course, we're just going to do a chat. Uh, I just want to keep eyes on him and worry about him. Okay. Cause I don't think anybody does. And what, what's the mother's name, the actress? I'm not trying to put you on the spot. Rita, Rita, it's not, not Feldman, but Rita something Feldman. I don't know.
17I'm taking Cory. I want to remember. Cory could be stuck somewhere too. I don't know why I'm blank. It's Rita, it's Rita something. I can't, I can't think of it. You can't think of her name. Yeah. Oh, man. Well, whatever. Rita, Rita, Rita. Rita Rudder. Oh, no, maybe you got a comedian. So I'm just like, how do you get this dude out? So we'll see. I'm just going to tell you a story and we know people that know him. I've never met the guy, but I've heard stories about him. And I think he's kind of fun. He's life of the party. Another guy that I've met that's in the news. So I was bringing it up. It's almost like I feel very close to Steve MC today, jelly roll, Axel and I, uh, who's on the river, um, is a DJ, um, but we were the show on rock 100.5 before they blew it up in afternoons because they put on a syndicated show. That's when you know you're gone. Um, we got to meet jelly roll and we, we threw a party for me, came on the air. He probably came in our studio five times in person. Big guy. Now he's lost the weight. But the only reason we were getting him and I'll give credit, it's because the construction
19down the hall broke him. They were the first to play. He's not from here. No, but he just, he just, he came to promote a lot Atlanta, country, uh, country radio, um, 101 five was the first to play him and he was loyal to him. So he'd come in the building, we'd get him as a second off. He just broke his collarbone. So he's in the hospital. Yep. He's on a four wheeler. These guys got to stay off the ATVs, man. I'll say I remember Ozzy had a big accident back in the day. He sure did. Doing an ATV. Yeah. And you could kill yourself. My neighbor across the street, not my neighbor now. His biggest jelly roll, big guy, same thing ATV going down the road and didn't realize it. He went through a tree line thinking he was just ripping through some small pines, went off a 30 foot drop off a cliff, like a cliff and landed and messed his back up and he'll be on a cane the rest of his life and he aches. He aches. I'm like, I don't think I want my kids on him. No, I pass, pass on that. I'll do a dirt bike for I'll do a four wheeler.
19I mean, 100%. Somebody else I'm worried about. We do not know her. We only know of her unless have you ever met Lindsey Lohan? No. Okay. She's a Dubai resident. She lives in Dubai. Who lives in Dubai? And she stuck there, but she's safe after all the strikes, but she's in Dubai. What does Lindsey Lohan do in Dubai? She's probably getting paid to live there. Oh, what do you know? I don't know. You mean somebody's taken her in? Maybe. Maybe she's a chic. Maybe. Do she sleep there? Maybe. A chic. Yes. Her family. She's probably with some rich dude there. Yeah. He aged in 2021 and married a guy that lives there. His name is Vogue. I know I'm getting no Vogue's right. Arabia. All right. I think. Maybe he sounds chic. Yeah. He is. She loves living in Dubai because of the sincerity and the peace. The serenity. Sorry.
20Sorry about that serenity and the peace. She said that paparazzi while she lives there lays back. They don't really, they're not really in United Arab Emirates as she doesn't have to deal with it. She can go about her ways. Nobody messes with her. So she said she loves it. But of course with retaliatory, I mean, retaliatory strikes. And I think there've been strikes all over for no reason. And you've seen it. And I know you'll cover it. Iran's been hitting different locations. And thank God she was okay, but they're hitting some nice hotels, nice areas just trying to hit people. They're not going after. In Dubai. And you're not in the Emirates all over. And so therefore they've been hiding out everything, but she is cool, but she's definitely done some time in a bunker. So everybody, Lindsey is okay. That was brought to you by Smalls Sliders, Small Sliders, that grand opening. We are weeks away now. We might be 10 days away from finding ourselves broadcasting live at Wendy Hill.
24We will be right there in Marietta at Smalls Sliders. They're putting the finishing touches. If you're driving a buy it, this is what it looks like an orange container. It is. It's a couple containers. They bring them in. They fit it. It's 800 and I think 80 square feet. And it's all about the drive through. There is no playground indoors. There's a little, I guess they have a little outdoor tables. If you want to sit outside, I understand there's four tables, one, two, three, four. That's it. And it's just a drive through thing. And that's fine with me. I don't know about you. Not only with kids, I don't like eating. The only place I like to eat in is Waffle House. No where else. I prefer not to take Waffle House to go. I like the holes. I like it. Yeah. I don't like to go. I don't like eating in the car. I'll get out. I'll get out and eat. But Smalls Sliders, you will be able to eat in the car because they're so small. They eat it. No mess. No mess. You can actually put one in your mouth while you're driving, turning the wheel. And that's their thing. I think they do like waffle fries, waffle fries and sliders and milkshakes.
30That's it. No fancy dancing stuff. It's straight up just sliders. There you go. And it's also brought to you by our friends at Exit Stage Left Advisors. If you got a business to sell, if you got a business that you want to know what it's worth, just in case you want to sell it between now and 10 years, start the conversations, have the conversation, contact Exit Stage Left Advisors or contact me. And I'll put you directly in touch with the big guy, the main guy. Let's get into it. Holy Dick Taiment. Yeah. So over the weekend, we struck Iran and took out the, the, the, the, Ayatola, right? The main, the main, he, they, he came, Trump came on and said, we got like all the leadership of Iran taking out boom, in one shot somehow, you know, and you don't know whether it spies or, or how the cameras satellites, they're watching in 40 of them, 40, all in the same location
31and they're like, hit it. They got it all. Got it all. Yeah. I do like the fact. I mean, they, you know, we went in, you know, because they wouldn't negotiate with the nuclear, with their nuclear program. And then there's all. So, you know, if you're depending on who you watch, it's really us supporting Israel, Israel really wanted this. They wanted the regime change in Iran. And of course, for whatever reason, depending on who you watch, we do it Israel wants in the Middle East. That's a whole other subject, but I do like to say, am I wrong, shouldn't we? I mean, I've always heard growing up and I don't care what religion you are as long as your religion doesn't say kill America or, or, or, or our God doesn't exist or I would have to say anybody that says, you know, any Christian will be killed. Those are the religions I don't like. Those are the anger ones. Yeah. Well, why, why are we, why don't they, they handles the stuff in the Middle East? Why do we have to be a part of it? That's a whole, that's a whole broader subject. But I do like the fact that Trump is a, was it like, hey, that we're just in and out.
35This is boom, boom. We're done. No, he's like, this could last a little bit longer. A couple of weeks is what I'm hearing. Yeah. And, and just to talk about it, you know, you've got to realize these people were, were grown up. They have somebody on Fox. I don't know who, who seeing ends using, I've only seen Fox coverage, but they have a woman that lived there, grew up there. Her parents lived in night, you know, in the 70s and 1979, it was, no, they were beautiful people. And then there's some beautiful women over there. And they got the short skirts and their, their water skiing, their own vacation. They're just, they're out. They're sexy. They got nightclubs. They're dancing. And then Sharia Law comes in and boom, women don't have rights. You're not allowed to be seen. They're looking through slits and the rest of it is history and the other thing is, man, you speak out. They kill you. Mm hmm. Well, so that's, that's what we see is everyone celebrating all the, that's what, this is what the Iranian people want. Not everybody, all the unattractive white women that are super, super liberal are so upset. I saw a video where it shows the women.
37It shows liberal women like just crying and upset and then it shows the women currently in Iran just taking off the hijabs or whatever and loving life. The hijab. Yeah. Remember the, there's a site called hijab hookups. I can't believe that if you're the series, if you're the porn guy on that, they'll kill you. I, I even watched the degree that I joke around. I mean, it's just not worth it. But yeah, you got to watch those people get angry, but this is the chance. You remember back in 2000, maybe one, two or whatever, there was another hiccup in the students and everybody came out and that it was the young people looking for an overthrow. Do you realize 30,000 students killed? Wow. From, for protesting. Mm-hmm. Okay. Yeah, put in jails. So that's why I think Trump's doing it. The other thing is the woman that they have on Fox said at a young age in school, you learn to hate America and she said, we chant death to America and she goes, you have to realize
39these people were going to do whatever they could. Also they think he is behind several failed attempts to assassinate Donald Trump. Mm-hmm. Oh, yeah. So what do you got it? You got to take him out. That's why I think he's involved. That's why it's not Israel's fight. This guy wants to hurt America and the more rope you give him, can he get the right spy and here and do something to this country that kills thousands? Well, it looks like it's a, it's done deal. He's gone. He's gone. But now that now what now who takes over that that's the thing. He's asking, who does this? He's asking the people. This is your chance. Take over. Take who? Yeah. I mean, who runs in and does this? Do they have weapons? I have. Or are they throwing rocks? All right. That was brought to you, politictaimit and I got to tell you it's good stuff. It's much watch TV. You got to watch it. I stay glued to the sec, you know, because obviously the other side of the country. So at night, you get all what happened during the daytime, you know, at night.
40And then you wake up and then, you know, it's like it's evening almost there. So I love the coverage. It's incredible. I think they've actually may have shot down a plane or two. So the US, we're just not, we're not totally skipping by. But right now you're like, as long as you just don't want boots on the ground and you're wanting by kill. Yeah. Yeah. Cause we do have war fatigue. No one wants another Iraq war. No. It's got to be, it's going to be different. Whatever it ends up being, it's going to be different than what we were in Iraq. Yeah. And I just want to tell you that if there's one guy I know that that screams golf carts and I think golf carts are much safer. I've been on golf carts ATVs. We talked about it. You can break a collarbone. But my inlaws are looking at a golf cart. These subdivisions have them golf courses, obviously have them in North Atlanta golf carts is the place to go ask for Craig Riddle, ask for the yeah, come on, deal. You actually will be in these studios this week at some point and $500 off a new which
40makes sense. But he's like, now I'll do it off the used to let's just try to sell a few a month. So $500 off used and new. If you just ask for Craig Riddle and say, yeah, come on, yeah, come on. Right now we're bringing up Jack sugar. He does our sports. He's with prize picks, but that's just his new gig. He's back in sports and he's a numbers guy and he's also a little bit of an athlete himself. He is my brother-in-law and this dude is competitive. And I thought who better to do sports on goat day. This is goat day with Jack sugar who is a goat in his self in his own. God bless him. Yeah, come on, you there, Jack, I'm picking up some weird audio. Oh, there. Now we got him. How's that? Is that better? You got us. We're just going to get Mike to hold on Mike, disconnect.
47Just connect Jack and his calling back, just call him right back, same number. Mike just gives me a thumbs up, I'm like, he's on it and he's on it. But now this goat stuff's good, man. You got two goats that just can't fail. They can't. It's unbelievable. And I'm definitely speaking, he's already sent me a text, sorry, I can't understand anything we're saying. Yeah, we're having to reconnect. Mike? Yeah. Tell me when you got him. Producer Mike, he's got to connect. This is a four hour Atlanta radio show done in 30 minutes live without a net. That is the yet come on show. So we apologize right now, but this is something we would edit out if we edited it. Yeah. Yeah. What's the problem? It may need a reboot of the whole studio. You think? Yeah. Yeah. You're kidding me. No. This has never happened where it's completely. I have to reboot the whole.
48So what do we do? We go dark for a second and come back. No, no. I think we're going to have to just do sports solo. Well, what about if I call him and put him a month, you could do that. You could do that. I'm doing speaker phone. I'm not losing my people here. I can't. I can't. Yeah, it would. Mike would have to reboot the whole, the whole system. Don't reboot. Don't reboot. I got my speaker. Yeah. Hey, you're on my phone on speaker and a microphone. You know what you could do? Turn on this mic here. Oh, yeah. Yeah. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right. We're giving it his own mic. Yeah. I'm giving it. Jack deserves his own mic. Okay. All right. Here we go. Hold on. I got it. All right. Jackie there. I'm here. Perfect. The Jeff said that we would have to reboot. And our new producer, Mike, was just about to hit the reboot button. And that takes like four minutes and we're dead. And I'm like, don't reboot. What is putting live on my phone? Jack sugar. Jack sugar.
49Jack sugar. Jack sugar. Jack sugar. Jack sugar. We're going to do it live. I was entralling you as a bit of a goat. And a lot of people push themselves. You as an athlete yourself. You know, playing football or just in your daily life. How is it to wake up? Do you wake up and you're like, how can I do something cool today? Or how can I throw the ball better today, even at your age with small children, to goats, never let it go. You always are trying to be the best on the field. Yeah, you know, uh, it's just kind of something that's inside you and you're like, how am I going to be better today? Yeah. And the competition is against yourself. So whether it's, uh, you know, waking up and staying healthy, uh, that's, that's kind of my goal these days. But, uh, I've also got a two year old kid that is, uh, I'd love to see him excel. And so maybe one day it's stringing up a, uh, a driving range net between two trees in my backyard, just to make sure he can keep
51progressing. See what Jack's doing there. He's not thinking about baseball soccer. He's good. He'll figure one of those out, but he's like, no, um, you know, my kid's going to learn golf. It's the businessman's, uh, sport. And he's like, he's going to make sure no matter what he plays golf. Pretty much. I love it. Well, we're going to give you some, uh, audio here. Um, first, I want to, I want to talk about goats like yourself. Uh, and nobody, what, what, what the most famous goat to you, when I say goat, who do you think of? Unfortunately, I immediately think of Tom Brady. Uh, there's some serious scarring there. Uh, but you want to, you want to tell people why they're scarring there. Maybe they need to know why you do sports. Let's see. There's four words that every Atlanta resident dreads. Uh, and I happen to be there in person by myself amongst the sea of the opposing fan bases. Um, those four words are, I guess one's hyphenated,
51maybe three words, 28 to three. Yeah. He was there. He was there in person. Uh, and I was at the other loss in 98 in Miami in person. And uh, it hurts. So we are both, we share the scarring, but you're right. I am speaking of the goat and the goats talking about the situation I'm in and a lot of you listening right now are watching. You got small kids and you're like, how far do I push them in sports? So I'll push them to the point where, you know, they're, they're upset and we got to get through that wall. Um, are they going to end up hating the sport? And a lot of dads, I had those conversations yesterday because I have a son right now that is playing Sunday ball at five U because he's in within the top 22 players at five and six U and little Parker came in in the top eight. And it was like all stars. Every kids were in a uniform and every kids on a different team and some are out of the county. And it's nothing but watching five U all stars. It's like there were no bad plays, you know, and it was incredible. So I'm wondering if I'm
53pushing too much, but this is what Tom Brady had to say. Most people don't want to be pushed that hard. They want to be pushed to their level of comfort. And once they're outside their comfort zone, they're like, oh, I'm not used to this. Oh, I don't like this. My heart's beating too fast or man, I'm feeling all different feelings and emotions. And it's like, that's where you're, that's where the growth lives. You need coaches that push you outside of your comfort zone because that's how you grow. And that's how you begin to develop self confidence and self-esteem in what you're doing. You try, you fail. They push you to deal with the failure. You get another chance to go out and practice and practice it. Then you succeed and you realize, oh, that's what I need to do differently the next time. As opposed to the athletes who try something, that's hard. They fail. And now it discourages them from trying to say the thing that's hard again. Yeah, most people that was it. What do you think of that, Jack? Yeah, that's amazing. And it's, it's really, I think, you know, you're in five-view baseball and seven-eight-view baseball. And you see it,
59right? These kids, they fail and they say, I'm not good at that. And then they give up and they quit. And so there's an aspect to it where you have, the kid has to be strong enough and have the desire first, right? Like, there has to be an endy ability there and an interest there first. But you know, we are in a culture of treat everybody equally and, oh, it's okay, you gave it your best. And so failing is, it's one of the most important lessons in life. You know, you're gonna fail. And it's how you respond to that, but it's gonna, you know, determine how far you can go. It's easy, I will say, for Tom Brady to sit there and tell you what to do. He's a pretty unique individual. But, you know, for me, as a dad with a two-year-old, soon to be three-year-old, that's really interested in sports. Right now, I just want to make sure he has fun and enjoys it.
05And wants to be better. And then from there, you do have to take the initiative and foster that in the right way. And, you know, it's something I'm thinking about right now as to how that's gonna look in the future. So it's really interesting to hear some of the, you know, the goat talk about that type of thing and what lessons I can take away from it as a dad. No, I totally agree with you. And talking about the other goat, that would have to be Michael Jordan. And the other goat would be Tiger Woods. Those are the three goats we know. And here is Michael Jordan, who can't fail. He can't in NASCAR. Check this out. Michael Jordan is out of breath. That's three weeks in a row. 77-year history of NASCAR, Michael. This has never been done. What can you say about the domination by your team today? It's time for change. Time for change. And the guys feel the same thing. And, you know, Tyler came in with the most pressure. I guess everybody expected him or he had a chance to win three in a row. That's the hardest win to win.
05You know, and he kept to his strategy. And, man, the guys put together a great car, man. And I think Billy did an unbelievable job in calling the game, calling the race, and Tyler did a good job. He beat a good competition. I mean, you see SPG coming back. You get a little nervous. But I think you had him cover pretty much the whole day. Michael, the records, the wins, the trophies. What does this all mean to you as a team owner here in this sport? Well, I'm proud of the team that we put together. I mean, Danny, I'm pretty sure it's the same way. He feels the same way as I do it. I think a lot of credit goes to him because I think he's the mastermind behind putting, finding Tyler and putting together, you know, Billy Scott and all that. Look, I just, I just put up the money. I'm just a competitor. But I think Danny's done an unbelievable job because it helped him. We'll just think of that. He goes, I just put up the money. And listen, he doesn't even know the terminology. He needs to watch days of thunder. He doesn't even, he's calling it a game. He's calling about, you know, I think he had him covered. I'm like, dude, you're using basketball terms and maybe even baseball in NASCAR. You're just
09putting up money. I don't think he has a clue to what's going on. But his drivers pulled off a first three wins. The first three races of the NASCAR season has gone to Michael Jordan's team. That's unbelievable. I mean, I don't know why it just did. But it kind of reminded me of that, that epic run we had in Vegas on the, on the Crap's table. Yes. I felt like I was Michael Jordan. I had no idea to play Crap's. You called me over and all of a sudden, I'm the bachelor kid just on an unbelievable heater and everyone's loving me. I felt like, I feel like that's what Michael Jordan is. This is just insane. He doesn't, he's not driving the car. He's not doing the strategy. He just showed up put his money there and obviously there's a culture that he has to have instilled of winning. But I feel like it's his deja vu every Monday. I come on here and talk about Michael Jordan and Tyler Reddick winning races. It's insane. Trust me. NASCAR people have their mouths wide open. It's what people are talking about. So while we're talking about it and the last thing we're going to talk about is what we did talk about last week. And we talked about it with
11Skipper too. Regal Nissan who comes in Tuesdays and Thursdays. And we're going to play the video. I'll let you hear the audio. But this is incredible. This is the eight. What, what are we calling it? The new well, you could challenge. You could challenge. Yeah, you could your robot. Yeah. Yeah. So it is. The term is Robo UPS. That's what I'll call it here today. I'm not sure what the, no, I think we know you just named it. It's called Robo UPS. For the rest of our lives, we call it Robo UPS in the name of Jack Sugar. But here it is being used by an Atlanta brave. Check this out. That also takes on the outside. Tap the head. Challenge. Let's go. That boy, man. Challenge. Little backdoor breaking ball. Did it catch the plate? What do you think, Wiley? I'm going to say no. Ooh, that is close. That's a ball. I'm going to hop by what? The pen to the bench. Oh my gosh.
12So Matt Olson literally uses it and taps his head immediately. They say you got to do it within three seconds, I guess. Yeah. And he did it. And he was right by a tenth of an inch. The ump missed it. Called it a strike and it was a ball. That's amazing. No, it's going to be really interesting. So they're rolling that out this year. Uh, you get, I think two challenges a game, which is not a lot. See, they're, they're not going to be able to use it, you know, every time that they're not happy with the call, because you're going to want those and really pivotal moments. And so it's going to be really interesting. And it's not from the dugout, the player, the batter has to make the decision whether or not he's going to be challenged the ball or the strike. So they're in this like hybrid transition right now where the umpires are still going to make the calls. But if there's an egregious one, uh, you tap your head and, you know, you have that autonomy as the batter. So it'll be really interesting to see that play out this year. Um, there was a Gwyneth strippers, uh, clip going around where there was a bassist loaded
14umpire, you know, rung him up and the batter immediately tapped his head and it turned into a, you know, a game ending strike three to, uh, um, bassist loaded walk. And so, you know, there will be some interesting dramatic moments when, uh, when a player taps his helmet there. It's going to be going to be fun to watch. Now you can't touch your helmet. Somebody don't think you're tapping. So you got to watch it. But yeah, I don't want to tap my helmet and then strike out. You better damn be good if you tap your helmet. You better know you can hit that ball. Yeah, you better be right. You better, you better be right. There it is with yet come on sports. It's Jack sugar. Thank you for your time today, buddy. Thank you for your time, Jack. Sure. Yeah, come on sports. So, uh, yeah, man, it's one of those, one of those deals. It's like, uh, damn, that's crazy watching that. It is the future. But I think it's, it's what they should do. They may just need to get rid of umpires and just use it. Well, that's, that's where it's, that's where it's headed. I think it's just going to be a robo umpires. We don't, we don't need that. It's just like, uh, you know, a lot of jobs. AI is going to take a lot of jobs. Umpires are on the list. Oh, boy. Well,
19there you go. Get ready, people. That's why Jeff and I are figuring it out. Thank you. Ask others to subscribe. It only helps us. Uh, this was brought to you by Regal Nissan sports with Regal Nissan in Roswell, Holcomb Bridge road, uh, right there at Georgia 400. And if you drive an infinity or a Nissan, get into that service center. That's where Skipper works. He's your manager. You don't have to know him. You've seen him on the show walk in and all you got to do is say, yeah, I was listening to the air come on show is Skipper here. You know, just be as dumb as you want to be. And you can ask for Miguel. Also, that is my service tech and ask for the air come on deal. No matter what you're doing, you're going to get a discount, uh, I've known the owners for a while. The Scott family's incredible lane criders there. So yet, come on, deal lives and breeze at Regal Nissan. All right. So track 13. I thought we would celebrate the passing of Neil Sedacca. I'm Sedacca. I, I, I wondered how you said that. Neil Sedacca is how I say it. Am I wrong? I say
19Sedacca. Sedacca Sedacca. Yeah, he was 86. Yeah, he was 86. It was, I think it was kind of all the sudden. He was 86. He was not feeling good on Friday. Went to the hospital and passed away. So I'm not sure exactly what it was, but yeah, horrible. You wonder when you start feeling about like, oh, God, it's just hit. Yeah. And you don't think about it to get older. You don't know. Uh, but yeah, big time songwriter. He had some hits in the early 60s, calendar girl. Be my calendar. Breaking up his hard to do. You know, right. Breaking up his hard to do. He also wrote, um, remember that he wrote, uh, level, keep us together. Oh, I know that. So I kept it in to Neil. So songwriter too. But what track 13 today is one of his biggest hits of the 70s, a little bit later in his career, laughter in the rain. And he sings it. Yes. It's kind of got a yacht rock. It's a very 70s soft rock. People love the yacht rock. Oh, yeah. To Neil. I didn't realize they didn't write that and he wrote it. He wrote it. Yeah, he wrote that with, uh, with some other guy that he wrote. He also wrote with, but yeah,
23that was one of his songs. But today's track 13 in honor of Neil Sedaka, we will do laughter in the rain. You can now click on the link in the description to, uh, watch the video and enjoy the song. It is the yakimanshu.
