About this episode
John Eldredge is an author, a counselor, and a teacher. He is the president of Wild at Heart, a ministry devoted to helping people discover the heart of God, recover their own hearts in God's love, and learn to live in God's Kingdom. John grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles and spent his boyhood summers on his grandfather’s cattle ranch in eastern Oregon. He earned his master’s degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University and worked as a counselor in private practice before launching Wild at Heart in 2000. In 2001, John authored the book "Wild at Heart: Discovering the Secret of a Man's Soul." I'm not blowing smoke when I say that this book changed my life. In episode 10 of this podcast I explain the life lessons and conversations with God that led me to starting Dad the Man, and this book, Wild at Heart, played a monumental role in helping me find solid ground in my faith and confidence in who God called me to be. It isn't every day that you get to chat with someone who has made a massive impact on your life, and there is no doubt that I was extremely excited for this one. But above it all, John is an incredible man, husband, and father, and it is an honor to share this conversation with him.
