Podcast 2. As I refer to it in this podcast, the grid includes the collection of utility services and public goods that most citizens receive in their home when they pay their bills on time. Water, electricity, and telecommunications services. The grid also includes food, and fuels that people buy for daily use. Here I argue that the grid is not necessary, but it has become virtually mandatory. For many reasons, the grid is harmful, especially because its high cost.
