#003 - Unschooling Is Not Un-Educating

In this episode I discuss one of the greatest myths around Unschooling which is that it is synonymous with Un-educating or Un-parenting. This myth couldn’t be further from the truth. Honestly, all you need is one present and loving adult who is resourceful and willing to help children explore the world as their classroom. Unschooling is not for a lazy parent. Quite the opposite. The goal is connection over curriculum, correction, and comparison. The magic happens when we work on ourselves to let go of the conditioning which no longer serves us on this new path. All the anxieties that one must face when taking the leap out of the school matrix will remove themselves in time with solid support and mentorship along the way. This lifestyle is a peaceful parenting approach which values partnership over the authoritative model in which most of us have been raised. Unschooling our minds ensures success while Unschooling our kids.
